Giants' Turner Hill: Not in Sunday's lineup
Hill is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Hill started the past five contests and will hit the bench Sunday after going 7-for-19 (.368) with no extra-base hits, four RBI and three runs during that span. Grant McCray will take over in left field and bat seventh for the series finale in Queens.

Giants' Turner Hill: Multi-hit effort in defeat
Hill went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk in Friday's 10-6 loss to the Mets.
Hill logged a base hit in the fifth inning and added an RBI single in the seventh. The 27-year-old outfielder has recorded at least one hit in four of the last five games, batting .471 with six RBI and four runs scored in 22 plate appearances during that span. Overall, he's slashing .333/.426/.438 with 12 RBI, seven runs scored, five doubles and a stolen base across 61 plate appearances this season.

Giants' Turner Hill: Drives in game-winning run
Hill went 1-for-4 with two RBI during the Giants' 5-4, extra-inning win over the Pirates on Wednesday.
The Giants scored two runs in the 10th inning, the second coming off the bat of Hill on a sacrifice fly that ended up being the game-winning run after the Pirates scored one of their own in the bottom of the frame. Hill has driven in two runs in three of his last five games and is up to 11 RBI with an .856 OPS across 52 plate appearances since making his major-league debut Aug. 15.

Giants' Turner Hill: Bangs out four hits Tuesday
Hill went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in Tuesday's wild 13-12 loss to the Pirates.
All four knocks were singles, but it was still an impressive performance from the 27-year-old rookie, who was batting leadoff for the first time in his brief career. Undrafted out of Marietta College in 2022, Hill had a breakout campaign in the high minors for the Giants and has carried that momentum into the majors, slashing .342/.426/.474 in his first 47 MLB plate appearances with five doubles, a steal, six runs and nine RBI. With San Francisco already looking ahead to 2027, Hill figures to get an extended look in September to see if he's part of the team's future in the outfield.

Hill is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Atlanta, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
He'll take a seat for the makeup game in Atlanta while the Giants go with a starting outfield of Drew Gilbert, Jonah Cox and Jung Hoo Lee from left to right. Though he'll be on the bench for the second straight day while the Red Sox send another lefty (Jake Bennett) to the bump, the left-handed-hitting Hill looks to be gaining traction as the strong-side member of a platoon in left field with Victor Bericoto. Hill has started in all four of the Giants' matchups against righties since being called up from Triple-A Sacramento on Aug. 13 and has gone 3-for-12 with two doubles, two walks, two RBI and one run to begin his big-league career.

Giants' Turner Hill: Contract selected by Giants
The Giants selected Hill's contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday.
It's the first major-league promotion for Hill, who has had an excellent season at Sacramento, posting a .353/.420/.529 batting line with nine home runs, 22 stolen bases and a 37:31 BB:K over 88 contests. The 27-year-old will likely serve as a backup at all three outfield spots.
