Braves' Luke Sinnard: Overcomes abdominal injury
Sinnard (abdomen) has allowed four earned runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four batters over six innings in two starts for High-A Rome since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list July 28.
Sinnard spent about six weeks on the shelf while recovering from an abdominal strain. The right-hander's control has been shaky over his first two starts coming off the IL, but he's still holding down a 3.32 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:9 K:BB in 21.2 innings for Rome this season.

Braves' Luke Sinnard: Back on shelf
High-A Rome placed Sinnard on the 7-day injured list June 16 after he aggravated an abdominal injury, Ian Cundall of Baseball America reports.
He suffered an abdominal strain in spring training and didn't get activated until May 19, so this latest abdominal strain could keep him out another couple months. When healthy, Sinnard has been excellent, as the 6-foot-7 righty has a 2.35 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, 25.8 K-BB% and 15.8 percent swinging-strike rate in 23 innings this season. In addition to getting healthy, Sinnard could eventually use a bump in competition, as he turns 24 in October and has yet to pitch above High-A.

Braves' Luke Sinnard: Makes season debut
Sinnard (abdomen) struck out one and allowed one run on two hits and one walk over three innings Tuesday in his start for Atlanta's rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate.
Sinnard was cleared to make his 2026 debut Tuesday after he had been shut down to begin the minor-league season due to an abdominal strain that surfaced in spring training. The 23-year-old right-hander made 16 starts between Single-A Augusta and High-A Rome in 2025, so he likely won't have to wait long to join a full-season affiliate now that he's healthy again.

Braves' Luke Sinnard: Held back in extended ST
Sinnard was held back in extended spring training due to an abdominal strain, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.
Sinnard logged 43 innings at High-A and 15.2 innings in the Arizona Fall League last year, so he'll be heading to a full-season affiliate once healthy. The big 6-foot-8 righty has a quality slider and changeup to go with an improving fastball.
