  • Braves' Luke Sinnard: Overcomes abdominal injury

Sinnard (abdomen) has allowed four earned runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four batters over six innings in two starts for High-A Rome since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list July 28. Sinnard spent about six weeks on the shelf while recovering from an abdominal strain. The right-hander's control has been shaky over his first two starts coming off the IL, but he's still holding down a 3.32 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:9 K:BB in 21.2 innings for Rome this season.

The big 6-foot-8 righty has a quality slider and changeup to go with an improving fastball.
