    The Mariners acquired Thomas from the Mets on Friday in exchange for right-hander Ryne Stanek, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

    Thomas began the season with the Mets' Double-A in Binghamton and was promoted in May to Triple-A Syracuse, where he has since slashed .235/.286/.377 with five home runs and 18 RBI through 196 plate appearances. The 24-year-old outfielder will likely report to Triple-A Tacoma upon joining his new organization.

The outfielder will look to continue his success at the plate with Triple-A and is now just one step away from the majors.
