  • Twins' Kyler Fedko: Out for season with knee injury

Fedko announced via his personal Instagram account that he underwent season-ending surgery Friday to repair a torn ACL, MCL and LCL in his left knee, Bobby Nightengale of The Minnesota Star Tribune reports. Triple-A St. Paul placed him on its 7-day injured list Aug. 3.

Fedko sustained the multi-ligament injury while playing for St. Paul on Aug. 2, when he went down while pursing a flyball in the outfield. The 26-year-old got the chance to make his big-league debut earlier in the summer, going 0-for-16 with two walks, one run and one RBI in 14 games for the Twins before being optioned to Triple-A on July 10. Given the nature of his knee surgery, Fedko's availability for the start of spring training could be affected, and the injury may also influence the Twins' decision to tender him a contract heading into 2027.

  • Twins' Kyler Fedko: Optioned to Triple-A

The Twins optioned Fedko to Triple-A St. Paul on Friday.

Fedko was with the big club for nearly a month, but he received just four starts and failed to pick up his first major-league hit. The Twins will announced a corresponding roster move before Friday's contest against the Angels.

  • Twins' Kyler Fedko: Added to big-league roster

The Twins selected Fedko's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday.

It's a well-earned promotion for Fedko, who has slashed .286/.372/.578 with 15 home runs, nine stolen bases and a 26:53 BB:K over 58 games with St. Paul. The 26-year-old can play all three outfield spots and also has some experience at first and second base. The right-handed-hitting Fedko will likely see most of his playing time for the Twins against lefties, at least initially.

  • Twins' Kyler Fedko: Expected to have contract selected

Fedko is expected to have his contract selected from Triple-A St. Paul on Monday, Audra Martin of FanDuel Sports Network North reports.

Fedko will join the major-league roster for the first time in his professional career. The outfielder has posted a .286 average with 15 home runs, 45 RBI, 44 runs scored and nine stolen bases over 206 at-bats in 58 contests with St. Paul so far this year. Orlando Arcia was designated for assignment by Minnesota on Sunday, clearing room on both the 40-man roster and the major-league roster for Fedko.
