Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Three hits not enough in loss
Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in Saturday's extra-innings loss to the Tigers in Game 1 of the American League Division Series.
The superstar outfielder gave the Mariners the lead on a solo homer in the fourth inning and tied the game with an RBI single in the sixth. He added another single in the 11th, but it ultimately wasn't enough, as aside from Rodriguez and Cal Raleigh, no other Mariners player recorded a hit. Rodriguez should be back in the three hole against lefty Tarik Skubal on Sunday as Seattle attempts to even the series.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Sitting for regular-season finale
Rodriguez is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Dodgers.
The Mariners have clinched the division and a first-round bye, so they will give their franchise player an extra rest day ahead of the postseason. Rodriguez swiped two bags Saturday, reaching 30-30 for the second time in his young career.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Secures second 30-30 campaign
Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and a run scored in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Rodriguez reached on a fielder's choice and stole second and third in the first inning to secure the second 30-30 campaign of his career. He's the only player in Mariners history with multiple 30-30 seasons, and he's still just 24 years old. The outfielder has hit well in September, going 25-for-92 (.272) with six steals and 13 extra-base hits over 24 games. Overall, he's at 30 thefts, 32 homers, 95 RBI, 106 runs scored and a .267/.324/.474 slash line through 160 games this season.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Goes deep in win
Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-0 win over Houston.
The homer was Rodriguez's first since Sept. 6 in Atlanta and his fourth of the month. He's three stolen bases away from his second career 30-homer, 30-steal campaign, and Rodriguez has been a five-category fantasy producer since the start of July. The All-Star center fielder had a .722 OPS at the end of June, but he's batting .282 with 20 long balls, 52 RBI, 49 runs scored and 16 thefts over his last 70 outings to raise his OPS to an even .800 for the year.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Productive in big win
Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 11-2 win over the Angels.
Rodriguez knocked in a run with a two-bagger in both the third and fourth innings. He did enough early on to earn some rest in the blowout win, with Victor Robles entering as a pinch hitter in the fifth. Rodriguez has gone 14-for-37 (.378) with nine RBI, seven extra-base hits and three steals over his last nine games. For the season, he's gone 27-for-33 on steals while adding a .269/.321/.478 slash line, 30 home runs, 91 RBI, 99 runs scored, 30 doubles and four triples across 149 contests.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Logs steal in Thursday's win
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, two RBI and one stolen base in Thursday's 7-6, extra-innings win over the Angels.
Rodriguez was on the front end of a double steal with one out in the 10th inning, but the Mariners left him stranded on third base. This was his fourth multi-hit effort over his last six games, and he's now hitting .273 (12-for-44) with 11 RBI over 10 contests in September. The outfielder is up to a .267/.317/.474 slash line with 30 home runs, 26 steals, 89 RBI, 95 runs scored, 27 doubles and four triples over 146 contests. A productive end of the year on the basepaths would help him secure his second 30-30 campaign in four MLB seasons, but he would need to pick up the pace, as he has just six steals over his last 37 contests.
