Perez showed no ill effects of Thursday's game being delayed an hour due to rain, as he held the Mets out of the hit column through 4.2 innings. A fielding error by Graham Pauley kept an earned run off the right-hander's line in the sixth inning, and Perez put a nice bow on a month of July that saw him post five consecutive quality starts. Perez will carry a strong 3.44 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 112:40 K:BB over 104.2 innings into his next scheduled outing in Atlanta.

Perez (5-8) took the loss Saturday against San Diego, allowing three runs on seven hits and one walk in seven innings. He struck out two.
It was a bit of a hard-luck loss for Perez, who delivered his fourth consecutive quality start. The hard-throwing right-hander opened the campaign with a 4.60 ERA through his first 11 outings but has been outstanding since coming off the injured list in late June, holding a 1.75 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 34:10 K:BB over his last six appearances (36 innings). Perez will bring a 3.56 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 106:38 K:BB across 98.2 frames overall into his next scheduled start against the last-place Mets, who will be without superstar Juan Soto (calf).

Perez did not factor into the decision Sunday against the Brewers, allowing one hit and three walks while striking out nine over six scoreless innings.
Perez threw 66 of his 93 pitches for strikes and generated 17 whiffs in a dominant outing to start his second half of the season. He never faced more than four batters in an inning and struck out the side twice. The Marlins were unable to hold the lead in the ninth, costing Perez the win. The right-hander picked up where he left off before the All-Star break, as he has now posted a 1.14 ERA and 46:9 K:BB across 39.1 innings in his last six starts. He'll carry a 3.53 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 104:37 K:BB into his next scheduled start at home against the Padres.

Marlins' Eury Perez: Takes loss despite quality start

Perez (5-7) took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday, allowing two runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out six across six innings.
The eight hits Perez allowed matched a career high that he set in September of 2025, but he limited the damage to a two-run double from Steven Kwan in the fourth inning. Perez generated 14 whiffs while tossing 69 strikes on 99 pitches, and despite the quality start, he did not get enough run support from his Marlins teammates to avoid the loss. The 23-year-old right-hander enters the All-Star break with a 3.78 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 95:34 K:BB across 85.2 innings.
Perez (5-6) struck out eight over seven perfect innings to earn the win over the Athletics on Sunday.
Perez didn't get a chance to go for history, as manager Clayton McCullough pulled the right-hander at 92 pitches (56 strikes). Lake Bachar then made a mess of things in the eighth inning, and Pete Fairbanks struggled in the ninth, but the Marlins had just enough of a cushion to escape with the win. Perez has allowed just two runs over 17 innings across three starts since he returned from a right gracilis muscle strain. He's at a 3.84 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 89:32 K:BB through 79.2 innings over 15 starts this season. Perez is projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians.
Perez (4-6) earned the win over Colorado on Tuesday, allowing one run on two hits and four walks while striking out eight batters over 5.1 innings.
It was the second start back for Perez after he missed nearly a month due to a thigh injury. He was held to 68 pitches in his return outing last Wednesday but was given a longer leash Tuesday, as he finished his start at 86 pitches. The right-hander struggled with his control a bit by issuing four walks, but he was otherwise nearly untouchable, with the only run against him coming on a first-inning solo homer by Mickey Moniak. Perez also had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 19 whiffs and eight punchouts. He should be able to push his pitch count even further in upcoming outings, and his next start is tentatively scheduled to be a road matchup against the Athletics at Sutter Health Park in Sacramento.

Activated from the IL earlier in the day after recovering from a thigh injury that had sidelined him since May 27, Perez was limited to 68 pitches (44 strikes) and fell one out short of qualifying for the victory. The 23-year-old right-hander carries a 4.41 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 73:28 K:BB through 67.1 innings on the season, but he's given up one earned run or fewer in his last three trips to the mound and could be poised for a monster second half if he can stay healthy. Perez should get stretched out to a more normal workload in his next outing, which is set to come on the road early next week in Colorado.

Manager Clayton McCullough indicated Monday that Perez would return from the IL on Wednesday as long as the right-hander bounced back from a pitch-design session without incident, and that appears to have come to pass. Perez's absence due to a right gracilis muscle strain lasted four weeks, which is half of the initial projected timetable laid out by McCullough when the 23-year-old initially landed on the shelf May 29. He threw 51 pitches in his lone rehab start, so Perez's workload may be limited Wednesday.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said that Perez (gracilis) "felt great" during his pitch-design session Monday and could return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday versus the Rangers, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
As long as Perez recovers well from the session, he should be cleared to pitch Wednesday following a four-week absence due to a right gracilis muscle strain. The Marlins reinstated Perez (gracilis) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday against the Rangers.
Though Miami manager Clayton McCullough said that Perez would likely be shelved for around eight weeks after being diagnosed with a right gracilis strain May 29, the right-hander will wind up returning to the big club in just under a month. During his lone rehab start last week with Triple-A Jacksonville, Perez covered 3.2 innings and tossed 51 pitches, so he'll likely be somewhat limited from a workload perspective as he rejoins the big-league rotation. Perez should be ready to handle a more typical starter's workload following Wednesday's outing.

Perez (thigh) gave up one run on three hits over 3.2 innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday. He struck out five without walking a batter.
The right-hander fired 51 pitches (37 strikes) in his first rehab outing since landing on the IL on May 29 after straining his right gracilis muscle. The initial estimate for Perez's recovery suggested he might be on the shelf until late July, but Thursday's performance was encouraging enough that a return before the All-Star break looks plausible. Perez was sitting 96-98 mph with his fastballs Thursday and topped out at 99.4 mph on a four-seamer.
