Goldschmidt is working on a nine-game hitting streak, during which he's slashing .410/.429/.718 with four homers, 13 RBI and four runs. He's been batting leadoff against left-handed starters, giving the Yankees a potent bat at the top of the lineup.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Continues resurgent season
Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 12-2 win over the White Sox.
Goldschmidt hit one of four Yankees homers in the big win, ripping a two-run shot to left field in the fourth inning. The veteran slugger has helped keep New York's offense humming even without Giancarlo Stanton (calf) and Aaron Judge (ribs), as Goldschmidt's .913 OPS through 46 games ranks second on the club behind only Ben Rice. Goldschmidt has been even better since Judge went down, posting a 1.056 OPS with four homers, 14 RBI and one stolen base over 12 contests this month.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Slugs game-winning homer
Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 3-1 victory versus Toronto on Saturday.
The score was tied 1-1 when Goldschmidt came to the plate in the top of the ninth and drove a Louis Varland offspeed pitch over the left-field wall to provide the decisive runs for the Yankees. Goldschmidt extended his hitting streak to six games with the blast, and he's slashing .375/.407/.625 with two homers and eight RBI during that stretch. With Aaron Judge (ribs), Giancarlo Stanton (calf) and Trent Grisham (hamstring) all on the injured list, Goldschmidt's role in New York's offense has taken on extra significance. He's been a regular in the lineup since mid-May and has stepped up with an .889 OPS, nine homers, 31 RBI, 24 runs and a stolen base over 170 plate appearances on the campaign.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Slugs homer in victory
Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in a 7-5, extra-inning win over the Guardians on Monday.
Goldschmidt gave New York an early lead with his two-run blast to left field in the first inning. The veteran first baseman added an RBI on a fielder's choice in the eighth frame to tie the score 5-5. Goldschmidt has hit safely in 11 of his past 12 contests, batting .314 with three homers, 13 RBI and one stolen base over that span. That run of good form has earned him an everyday role for New York -- Goldschmidt has started 16 straight games, primarily playing first base while Ben Rice logs most of his starts at DH.

He is on a seven-game hitting streak, having gone 11-for-31 (.344) with nine RBI in that span.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Blasts three-run homer
Goldschmidt went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Friday's 8-2 win over the Athletics.
Goldschmidt has gone 6-for-19 over his last four games, adding four RBI. The first baseman is up to six homers on the year, five of which have come over his last 19 contests, a span in which he's batting .313 (20-for-64). He's hitting .262 with an .871 OPS on the year, and he's added 18 RBI, 18 runs scored, six doubles and a triple through 32 games. While Giancarlo Stanton (calf) and Jasson Dominguez (shoulder) are both out, the Yankees have plenty of room to keep both Goldschmidt and Ben Rice in the lineup on an everyday basis.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Swats leadoff homer Monday
Goldschmidt went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, an RBI double and one walk in Monday's 7-6 win over the Blue Jays.
Leading off in the bottom of the first inning, Goldschmidt jumped a first-pitch sinker from Patrick Corbin and took it deep to the opposite field for his fifth homer of the season. He later walked in the second and got the best of Corbin again in the fourth with an RBI double. Goldschmidt has been on a tear at the plate the past three-plus weeks. Since April 26, he's 17-for-45 (.378) with three doubles, four homers, 10 RBI, 10 runs scored and a 5:8 BB:K. Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Posts big performance in defeat
Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional RBI in an extra-inning loss to Milwaukee on Saturday.
Goldschmidt started at first base and worked as the Yankees' leadoff hitter, which certainly paid off when the veteran slugger walloped a game-opening homer. He went on to add two singles and finished as the lone Yankee in the contest to record multiple hits. Goldschmidt has started five of New York's past six contests, though that's largely due to Ben Rice (who worked as the DH on Saturday) missing four games due to a hand injury. With that said, Goldschmidt has perked up with the bat in May -- after entering the month batting a tepid .179, he's since hitting .296 (8-for-27) with two homers, seven runs and five RBI across eight contests.

The blast was also the 374th home run of his career, moving him into 82nd place on the all-time leaderboard. The veteran has started to show signs of life at the plate, reaching base safely in five straight games. Goldschmidt is currently slashing .209/.306/.442 with four doubles, seven RBI and 10 runs scored in 49 trips to the plate.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Not starting versus lefty
Goldschmidt is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Athletics.
The Athletics are sending left-hander Jeffrey Springs to the bump, but the Yankees are going with lefty Ben Rice at first base rather than the righty-swinging Goldschmidt. It's only the second lefty the Yanks have faced thus far, and Goldschmidt was in the lineup the first time, but the team will give Rice his chances against lefties this season on occasion.

Yankees' Paul Goldschmidt: Belts three-run homer in win
Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-3 win against Seattle.
The veteran first baseman drew a rare start versus a right-hander with Giancarlo Stanton getting the day off, launching his first homer of the campaign. Goldschmidt is still expected to see most of his playing time against left-handed pitching in 2026, as Ben Rice is set to handle the bulk of the reps at first base while Stanton receives the majority of the action at designated hitter.
