Sano agreed to a one-year, $1.3 million contract with the Chunichi Dragons of Nippon Professional Baseball on Sunday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
The veteran slugger last played in the majors with the Angels in 2024 and had a 1.039 OPS over 24 games in the Dominican Winter League this year. Sano has clubbed 164 homers across his nine MLB seasons and could still be a legit power threat in Japan.
