Avery Hayes RW | PIT
Penguins' Avery Hayes: Puts up three points Saturday
Hayes scored a goal and added two assists in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 7-1 win over Hartford on Saturday.
Hayes was a breakout player last year with 39 points over 42 regular-season games for the Baby Pens. The 24-year-old forward has kept it up with five points over three games to start this season. Hayes got some looks with the Penguins down the stretch in 2025-26 and could be a call-up candidate if injuries strike for the big club.

Jordan Martinook LW | CAR
Hurricanes' Jordan Martinook: Contributes two points Saturday
Martinook scored a goal, registered an assist, posted a plus-2 rating and served two PIM in Saturday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Martinook posted his first two points of the 2026-27 campaign Saturday, where he recorded a secondary helper early in the middle stanza before finding the back of the net himself five minutes into the third period. The 34-year-old winger is looking to build off a productive 2025-26 campaign, where he compiled 12 goals, 29 points, 109 shots on goal, 112 hits and 50 blocked shots across 77 regular-season outings. While his ceiling in fantasy is capped from his bottom-six role, he'll likely remain relevant in deep leagues that value category coverage and banger stats as much as offensive production. Martinook has a solid floor in fantasy due to his steady situation.

Taylor Hall LW | CAR
Hurricanes' Taylor Hall: Finds twine in big win
Hall deposited a goal and launched four shots on net in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Hall continued his solid start to the new campaign Saturday, where he tallied the Hurricanes' fourth goal of the evening. Overall, the 34-year-old winger is up to three goals, five points, 14 shots on net and eight hits across six appearances. Even in year 17, Hall has been able to showcase his offensive talent alongside Carolina's elite forward depth. The veteran winger is currently on track to secure his third consecutive season with 40-plus points. Hall is a solid streaming option in deep fantasy leagues for the foreseeable future.

Jackson Blake RW | CAR
Hurricanes' Jackson Blake: Posts one of each in win
Blake bagged a goal, tallied an assist, put two shots on net and dished out two hits in Saturday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Blake tallied Carolina's third goal of the night before recording the primary helper on Taylor Hall's goal later in the second period. The 23-year-old Blake's goal Saturday was his first of the 2026-27 campaign, where he's up to seven points and 16 shots on net across six appearances. He's currently riding a five game point streak and is poised to be involved offensively all year long from the Hurricanes' top six. Blake could reach the 50-point threshold again in 2026-27, which would make him a strong fantasy option in deep leagues with plenty of upside as a weekly streamer in shallow leagues.

Bill Zonnon RW | PIT
Penguins' Bill Zonnon: Logs three points in AHL win
Zonnon scored twice and added an assist in AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton's 7-1 win over Hartford on Saturday.
Zonnon has earned four points and a plus-5 rating over three games this season. He had seven points in 11 playoff games for the Baby Pens back in the spring, so his success at the AHL level should come as no surprise. He will get some time to dominate in the minor league before eventually working his way into contention for a call-up to Pittsburgh.

Sebastian Aho C | CAR
Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Scores highlight-reel shorty
Aho recorded a shorthanded goal and fired six shots on net in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Aho stunned the home crowd when he took the puck up the ice, dragged the puck and stopped on a dime before firing it bar down past Spencer Knight to secure a shorthanded goal. The 29-year-old Aho is rolling to start the 2026-27 campaign, where he has posted five goals, nine points and 22 shots on net across six games. He's currently on pace for his third campaign in the last four seasons with 80-plus points. While the new season is still young, Aho doesn't appear to be slowing down and he's currently looking like a league-winning selection from the mid-rounds of fantasy drafts.

Mark Jankowski C | CAR
Hurricanes' Mark Jankowski: Extends goal streak Saturday
Jankowski tallied a goal and placed three shots on net in Saturday's 5-2 win over Chicago.
Jankowski is currently on fire, as he used Saturday's clash to secure the first three-game goal streak of his 10-year NHL career. Across six games to open the 2026-27 campaign, the 32-year-old winger has four points, seven shots on net, a plus-1 rating and six hits. Since being acquired by the Hurricanes midway through the 2024-25 season, the veteran winger has been turning back the clock and reverting to his previous goal-scoring ways. If he can carry his current momentum into the rest of the 2026-27 regular season, Jankowski could be in for his third-consecutive campaign with double-digit goals.

Spencer Knight G | CHI
Blackhawks' Spencer Knight: Yields five goals on high volume
Knight stopped 34 of 39 shots on goal in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Hurricanes.
Knight's struggles to open the new season continued in Saturday's clash against the reigning league champs. However, he held up well against a flurry of shots from Carolina, who placed 39 shots on goal in Saturday's meeting. Overall, the 25-year-old Knight now holds a 1-3-0 record, a 3.80 GAA and an .885 save percentage across four outings in 2026-27. The young netminder has displayed elite flashes of play in the past, but until Chicago's defensive unit can shore things up behind the blue line, Knight is a difficult player to trust in fantasy. If called upon, his next opportunity to bounce back will be in Tuesday's matchup against the Penguins.

Brandon Bussi G | CAR
Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Impressive showing Saturday
Bussi turned aside 24 of 26 shots on net in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Bussi posted his strongest statistical game of the 2026-27 campaign thus far in Saturday's big win. He turned away every shot he saw in the first period and surrendered just a goal per stanza the rest of the way. With Saturday's victory, the 28-year-old netminder now has a 2-1-1 record, a 2.95 GAA and an .871 save percentage across four appearances. After a rocky start to the new season, the second-year goalie appears to be settling in one game at a time. He remains a solid No. 2 option between the pipes in fantasy, and while Pyotr Kochetkov will likely appear Sunday in the second half of Carolina's back-to-back, Bussi has a strong chance to return to action in Tuesday's clash against the Capitals.

Jeremy Swayman G | BOS
Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Moves up franchise win list
Swayman made 14 saves Saturday in a 5-1 win over the Flyers.
He wasn't really tested Saturday, but that's not a surprise given the stumbling start the Flyers have experienced. With the victory, Swayman tied Andy Moog (136) for the eighth-most wins in Bruins history. He's now 4-1-0 with one shutout, a 1.79 GAA and a .932 save percentage in five starts.
