  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

    Flyers' Dan Vladar: Facing Devils

Vladar will patrol the home crease against New Jersey on Saturday, Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Vladar is coming off a 27-save performance in Thursday's 3-2 overtime win over St. Louis. He has a 7-4-1 record with a 2.37 GAA and a .911 save percentage across 12 appearances this season. New Jersey is tied for 18th in the league with 3.00 goals per game this campaign.

  • Blues' Georgi Romanov: Posts shutout in AHL

Romanov recorded a 33-save shutout in AHL Springfield's 2-0 win over Utica on Friday.

Neither team has been all that good to begin this season, and it showed with the low-scoring game. Springfield's struggles have led to Romanov opening the year 1-5-0 with a 3.38 GAA and a .901 save percentage, with Friday's effort being his first win. He signed just before the start of the season after attending the Devils' camp on a professional tryout, so this may have been a modicum of revenge for the 25-year-old goalie to beat New Jersey's farm team.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: On wrong side of overtime loss

Kuemper stopped 24 of 26 shots in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Bruins.

Morgan Geekie was responsible for both goals Kuemper gave up. The 35-year-old Kuemper continues to put in decent performances, but he's 0-1-1 despite allowing just four goals on 51 shots over his last two games. Overall, the veteran netminder is at 7-4-4 with a 2.38 GAA and a .906 save percentage through 15 outings. The Kings' next game is Monday versus the Senators.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Claims overtime win

Swayman stopped 31 of 32 shots in Friday's 2-1 overtime win over the Kings.

Neither team scored until the third period, and Swayman can't be faulted for yielding a shorthanded tally to Joel Armia. That was the only mistake for Swayman and the Bruins, and Morgan Geekie's two goals lifted them to the win. This was Swayman's sixth win in his last seven outings and one of his best performances of the season. He's now 9-5-0 with a 2.84 GAA and a .907 save percentage over 14 appearances. The 26-year-old has been starting two of every three games, and if that trend continues, he'll face the Sharks on Sunday before Joonas Korpisalo closes out the road trip versus the Islanders on Wednesday.

  • Eric Comrie G | SJ

Jets' Eric Comrie: Falters in home loss

Comrie stopped 24 of 28 shots in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Hurricanes.

Comrie's first task as the temporary starter for the Jets was a tough one, and he wasn't quite up to the challenge. Jordan Staal scored twice, while Seth Jarvis had a shorthanded goal and Andrei Svechnikov struck on the power play to send Comrie to just his second loss in six outings this season. He's at 4-2-0 with a 2.84 GAA and an .899 save percentage over six starts. The 30-year-old is set to see a majority of the action between the pipes while Connor Hellebuyck (knee) will be out until the latter half of December at best. The Jets' next game is at home versus the Wild on Sunday.

  • Hurricanes' Brandon Bussi: Holds on for win over Jets

Bussi stopped 24 of 27 shots in Friday's 4-3 win over the Jets.

Bussi has won his last three starts, though that streak has been over more than three weeks on the calendar. The 27-year-old goalie is still getting some turns in the crease even with Pyotr Kochetkov and Frederik Andersen in the fold. Bussi improved to 5-1-0 with a 2.67 GAA and an .896 save percentage over six appearances. Since the Hurricanes continue to roster three goalies, it's tough to predict when Bussi will get his chances between the pipes.

  • Kings' Pheonix Copley: Sent back down

Copley was reassigned to AHL Ontario on Friday.

Copley was called up earlier in the week so he could back up Anton Forsberg for Thursday's game in San Jose, allowing Darcy Kuemper to rest. With that assignment fulfilled, Copley returns to the Reign, where he is likely to spend a majority of the campaign unless the Kings' goaltending duo gets disrupted by an injury.

  • Eric Comrie G | SJ

Jets' Eric Comrie: In goal versus Hurricanes

Comrie will tend the home goal versus the Hurricanes on Friday.

Comrie is in line for a massive boost in workload while Connor Hellebuyck (knee) is out due to arthroscopic surgery for the next 4-6 weeks. In the backup role this year, Comrie is 4-1-0 with a 2.60 GAA and a .908 save percentage over five games. His ratios will likely take a hit since he won't be sheltered from tough matchups, but the added playing time makes him a valuable addition to fantasy rosters.

  • Blackhawks' Arvid Soderblom: Protecting road goal Friday

Soderblom will guard the road goal versus the Sabres on Friday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Soderblom will handle the second half of the Blackhawks' back-to-back set after Spencer Knight was in goal for a 3-2 loss to the Kraken on Thursday. With just three goals allowed on 67 shots on net over his last two games, both wins, Soderblom has some momentum coming into this matchup. The Sabres have scored 20 goals over the last six games but have posted a 2-4-0 record in that span.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Guarding goal Friday

Luukkonen will guard the home goal versus the Blackhawks on Friday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

This will be Luukkonen's first action in four games and his first start since Nov. 6 versus the Blues. He's fallen out of favor a bit in a crowded crease, but the Sabres' goaltending battle hasn't really had a standout participant yet. Luukkonen has posted an .883 save percentage over four contests and may be challenged heavily by the Blackhawks' offense.
