  • Maple Leafs' Sergei Bobrovsky: Drawing start Thursday

Bobrovsky will start Thursday's home game against the Rangers, Mark Masters of TSN reports.

Bobrovsky got the night off in the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday in Columbus, but he'll return to the crease Thursday for the fourth time in Toronto's last five games. Across seven starts to begin the regular season, he's gone 2-3-2 with a 2.96 GAA and .902 save percentage.

  • Senators' Samuel Ersson: Makes relief appearance

Ersson stopped the only shot he faced in relief of Linus Ullmark (lower body) in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Panthers.

Ullmark had to leave the game in the third period, but the Panthers really weren't able to offer much of a test to Ersson. Over four appearances this season, Ersson has given up 12 goals on 71 shots. If Ullmark's strain costs him significant playing time, the Senators will go from getting some of the best goaltending in the league to having a pair of question marks between the pipes, as Ersson and Jonas Johansson have little success in their NHL time. The Senators finish a back-to-back set at home against the Sharks on Thursday.

  • Akira Schmid G | FLA

Panthers' Akira Schmid: Yields five goals in loss

Schmid stopped 25 of 30 shots in Wednesday's 5-1 loss to the Senators.

Schmid will be the Panthers' primary goalie while Jacob Markstrom (upper body) is on injured reserve. Schmid has played in four of the last five games as Markstrom continues to battled some ongoing injury concerns. For the year, Schmid is 2-2-1 with a 3.62 GAA and an .867 save percentage. He may be able to help fantasy managers who need more games, but his ratios have left a lot to be desired so far. However, it'll probably be Cooper Black making his NHL debut Thursday versus the Penguins as the Panthers complete a road back-to-back set.

  • Sabres' Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen: Allows three goals in loss

Luukkonen stopped 23 of 26 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Flyers.

Luukkonen is 1-1-2 with 14 goals allowed over his last four games. He's struggled to get settled early in the season, allowing at least three goals in seven of eight games so far. He's still mustered a 3-3-2 record with a 3.53 GAA and an .863 save percentage. Until Luukkonen shows more consistency between the pipes, he's not a particularly strong fantasy option with a large share of playing time. The Sabres' next game is Saturday on the road versus the Capitals to kick off a four-game road trip.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: Sharp in Wednesday's win

Vladar stopped 27 of 28 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Sabres.

Vladar picked up his second win in a row and stretched the Flyers' winning streak to three games. After an awful start to the year, it looks like things are getting back on track, at least in the defensive zone, for the Flyers. Vladar is 2-3-1 with a 3.15 GAA and a .900 save percentage over six starts and has mostly evenly shared the crease with Joseph Woll. If the alternating starts pattern continues, Woll would face the Ducks at home on Saturday while Vladar is lined up for a home start against the Blue Jackets on Tuesday in the first half of a back-to-back.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Suffers lower-body strain

Ullmark sustained a lower-body strain versus the Panthers on Wednesday and will be evaluated Thursday, Andrew Wilimek of the Senators' official site reports.

Ullmark had to leave Wednesday's game in the third period after going down in his crease. The 33-year-old likely wouldn't have started Thursday versus the Sharks anyway, but the question now is if he'll be able to serve as the backup. If not, expect the Senators to make a roster move to add Jonas Johansson from AHL Belleville.

  • Red Wings' Michal Postava: Coming up to NHL

Postava was called up from AHL Grand Rapids on Wednesday.

Postava's promotion could indicate there's a yet-to-be-revealed concern about the availability of John Gibson or Daniil Tarasov. Postava's been good in the AHL this season, allowing just five goals over four games in a 4-0-0 start to the season.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Tending twine against Panthers

Ullmark will guard the home goal Wednesday versus the Panthers, freelance Senators reporter Graeme Nichols reports.

Ullmark will get the nod in what could be a contentious matchup as Brady Tkachuk makes his first trip back to Ottawa after forcing the team's hand for a trade. Ullmark has been strong this season with a 6-1-0 record, a 1.33 GAA and a .945 save percentage over seven outings. The Panthers are a tough test -- they've scored 21 goals over their last four games.

  • Akira Schmid G | FLA

Panthers' Akira Schmid: Starting against Ottawa

Schmid will start Wednesday's road game against the Senators, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Schmid got the night off Saturday against Seattle, but he'll draw the start Wednesday for the third time in the Panthers' last four games. The 26-year-old is coming off back-to-back wins, and he posted a 2.50 GAA and .889 save percentage across that two-game span.

  • Dan Vladar G | PHI

Flyers' Dan Vladar: In goal Wednesday

Vladar will get the starting nod on the road against Buffalo on Wednesday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.

Vladar has been splitting the crease with Joseph Woll of late, featuring in four of the Flyers' last nine contests. During that stretch, the 29-year-old Vladar is 1-2-1 with a 2.73 GAA. If the trend continues, Vladar's next start would be at home against the Jackets on Tuesday, while Woll would go up against the Ducks on Saturday.
