Joey Daccord G | SEA
Kraken's Joey Daccord: Drawing start Sunday
Daccord will start Sunday's home game against the Flames, Sound of Hockey reports.
Daccord was effective on the road against Calgary during his Opening Night start Thursday, as he turned aside 24 of 25 shots (.960 save percentage) in a 6-1 victory. He'll make his first home start of the year during the second half of a back-to-back set Sunday.

Will Cranley G | STL
Blues' Will Cranley: Earns shutout for Springfield
Cranley recorded a 24-save shutout in AHL Springfield's 2-0 win over Providence on Sunday.
Cranley's season debut was a massive success -- he also earned an assist in the contest. The goalie has played in just 14 AHL regular-season games in his career, so it'll be a while before he's competing for NHL minutes. Cranley is likely No. 4 on the Blues' organizational depth chart in goal, behind fellow AHL goalie Georgii Romanov.

John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Yields three shorthanded goals
Gibson stopped 24 of 27 shots on goal in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Jets.
After a strong Opening Night performance, where he allowed just one goal, Gibson conceded three times Sunday. However, the skaters in front of him didn't make life easier for the 33-year-old netminder, as all three of the goals he allowed were at a man disadvantage. Across two appearances, he holds an 0-2-0 record, a 2.07 GAA and a .915 save percentage over 47 shot attempts. With trade rumors surrounding both Dylan Larkin and Simon Edvinsson, Gibson's situation in fantasy is set to be unpredictable for the time being. While he might find individual success, he's best left on waivers in standard leagues until the Red Wings can get back on track.

Jacob Markstrom G | FLA
Panthers' Jacob Markstrom: Tending twine Sunday
Markstrom will defend the road net against Anaheim on Sunday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.
Markstrom earned a shutout in his first appearance of the 2026-27 campaign, making 15 saves in a 1-0 overtime victory over Carolina on Tuesday. Anaheim picked up a 4-3 win over Vegas on Friday.

Stuart Skinner G | WPG
Jets' Stuart Skinner: Earns first win with Jets
Skinner turned aside 33 of 35 shots on net in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Red Wings.
Skinner bounced back in a big way Sunday, as he faced a plethora of shots on net and only yielded two goals, including one at a man disadvantage. The 27-year-old backstop is currently unbeaten in regulation this season, as he holds a 1-0-1 record, a 2.92 GAA and a .908 save percentage across 65 shots on net between two appearances. With Connor Hellebuyck (suspension) out of the picture amid trade discussions, Skinner is the clear No.1 option for the Jets moving forward, which should give him plenty of opportunities to find fantasy success this season. With the Jets playing in the second half of a back-to-back Monday, Clay Stevenson is expected to get the nod for his first start with Winnipeg before Skinner likely returns to the crease Wednesday against the Avalanche.

Karel Vejmelka G | UTA
Mammoth's Karel Vejmelka: Defending crease Sunday
Vejmelka will guard the road goal against the Rangers on Sunday, per Catherine Bogart of the Mammoth's official site.
Vejmelka is coming off a 15-save shutout in Thursday's 6-0 win over Chicago. He has surrendered 20 goals on 120 shots for a 2-3-0 record in five previous regular-season outings against the Rangers. The Rangers have posted a mark of 2-1-0 this campaign while scoring seven goals.
-
Igor Shesterkin G | NYR
Rangers' Igor Shesterkin: Starting against Utah
Shesterkin will start Sunday's home game against the Mammoth, Mollie Walker of the New York Post reports.
Shesterkin will tend the twine for the third time in the Rangers' first four games of the season. Across his first two outings, he went 1-1-0 with a 1.51 GAA and .936 save percentage.

John Gibson G | DET
Red Wings' John Gibson: Back in action Sunday
Gibson will defend the home crease in Sunday's clash against the Jets.
Gibson led the Red Wings onto the ice Sunday ahead of his second start of the new season. He played well in his season debut Friday, allowing just one goal on 20 shots on net, but Detroit's offense left him out to dry in the 2-0 loss. The 33-year-old veteran backstop is coming off a strong season, where he posted a 29-22-4 record, four shutouts, a 2.72 GAA and a .901 save percentage across 57 regular-season outings in 2025-26. He'll be matched up against the Jets on Sunday, who lost their Opening Night clash in overtime against the Bruins, making Gibson a solid fantasy option in all formats.

Stuart Skinner G | WPG
Jets' Stuart Skinner: Starting in Detroit
Skinner will defend the road net against the Red Wings on Sunday, according to Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press.
In his Winnipeg debut, Skinner made 26 saves in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to Boston. He has posted a 4-2-1 record while allowing only 15 goals on 198 shots in seven previous regular-season meetings against the Red Wings. Detroit is coming off a 2-0 loss to the Rangers on Friday.

Matthew Murray G | NSH
Predators' Matt Murray: Returned to AHL
Murray was assigned to AHL Milwaukee on Sunday.
Nashville brought up forward Vitali Pinchuk from the minors in a corresponding move. Due to the absence of Justus Annunen (undisclosed), Murray served as Juuse Saros' backup in Saturday's 2-1 win over Dallas. Murray's demotion to the AHL could bode well for Annunen's availability for Tuesday's road matchup against Toronto.
