  • Akira Schmid G | FLA

Golden Knights' Akira Schmid: Tending twine Saturday

Schmid will start in goal during Saturday's road clash against the Predators, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

Despite being held out of the win column since Feb. 4, Schmid's last appearance was a strong relief effort where he stopped all 14 shots he saw against Utah on Thursday. Overall, the 25-year-old netminder has a 16-9-6 record, a 2.54 GAA and an .895 save percentage across 33 outings this season. He'll face off against the Predators, who enter Saturday's contest hot after winning both of their last two games.

  • Predators' Justus Annunen: In goal Saturday

Annunen will patrol the home crease against Vegas on Saturday, per Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.

Annunen is coming off a 25-save performance in Thursday's 3-1 win over Seattle. He will start again versus the Golden Knights because Juuse Saros (upper body) remains unavailable. Annunen has a 7-9-2 record this campaign with a 2.99 GAA and an .892 save percentage across 22 appearances. Vegas sits 14th in the league with 3.17 goals per game this season.

  • Juuse Saros G | NSH

Predators' Juuse Saros: Not available Saturday

Saros (upper body) has been ruled out of Saturday's tilt versus Vegas, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.

Justus Annunen will start Saturday against the Golden Knights, and Matt Murray will be the backup. Saros is 24-19-7 with a 3.14 GAA and an .894 save percentage over 51 appearances this season. Saros should be considered questionable for Sunday's clash in Chicago.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Between pipes Saturday

Swayman will start Saturday's road matchup against Detroit, according to Belle Fraser of the Bruins' official site.

Swayman is coming off a 23-save performance in Thursday's 6-1 win over Winnipeg. He has posted a 27-14-4 record this season with one shutout, a 2.73 GAA and .906 save percentage across 46 appearances. Detroit is tied for 20th in the league this campaign with 2.91 goals per game.

  • Rangers' Jonathan Quick: Considered day-to-day

Quick (upper body) left Saturday's practice early and is day-to-day, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

The Rangers recalled Dylan Garand from AHL Hartford on Friday, which suggests the team knew about Quick's injury issue before Saturday's session. The 40-year-old Quick allowed six goals on 39 shots in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to New Jersey during his last outing. He will probably miss at least Sunday's home matchup against Winnipeg, but it's unclear when he will be available to play.

  • Jets' Connor Hellebuyck: Facing Penguins

Hellebuyck will guard the road goal against Pittsburgh on Saturday, according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.

  • Oilers' Connor Ingram: Tending twine Saturday

Ingram will guard the home cage versus Tampa Bay on Saturday, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.

Ingram will start his fifth straight game, as he has taken over the No. 1 duties from Tristan Jarry. Ingram is 11-7-2 with a 2.77 GAA and an .892 save percentage in 23 appearances this season. The Lightning are second in NHL scoring, generating 3.57 goals per game, but they have been slumping of late, losing six of their last 10 contests.

  • Ilya Sorokin G | NYI

Islanders' Ilya Sorokin: Starting in Montreal

Sorokin will defend the road net against the Canadiens on Saturday, per Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Sorokin is coming off a 23-save effort in Thursday's 3-2 loss to Ottawa. He has a 25-16-2 record this campaign with six shutouts, a 2.50 GAA and a .913 save percentage across 43 appearances. Montreal sits fifth in the league with 3.46 goals per game this season.

  • Senators' Linus Ullmark: Set to face Maple Leafs

Ullmark is expected to patrol the home crease against Toronto on Saturday, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Ullmark occupied the starter's crease during the morning skate before being the first goalie off the ice. He has gone 2-2-0 in his last four outings while allowing only nine goals on 93 shots. He has a 21-10-7 record this campaign with two shutouts, a 2.79 GAA and an .886 save percentage through 39 appearances. Toronto ranks 16th in the league with 3.11 goals per game this season.
