  • Panthers' Alex Petrovic: Back with Cats

Petrovic signed a two-year contract with Florida on Wednesday.

The deal carries an $875,000 average annual value, per PuckPedia. Petrovic previously spent seven years with the Panthers, appearing in 254 regular-season games and tallying 49 points. Looking ahead to next season, the veteran blueliner is far from a lock for the lineup and could periodically serve as a healthy scratch. Still, he's a solid seventh defenseman to have around, even if that doesn't translate to much, if any, fantasy value.

  • Nick Jensen D | ANA

Ducks' Nick Jensen: Inks two-year deal

Jensen (knee) signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Ducks on Wednesday.

Jensen had four goals, 17 points, 22 PIM, 38 hits and 65 blocks in 61 regular-season appearances with Ottawa in 2026-27. The 35-year-old underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in mid-March, but he's likely to be ready for training camp. Jensen will probably serve primarily on Anaheim's third pairing, though he might also spend the occasional game as a healthy scratch.

  • Capitals' Vincent Desharnais: Agrees to four-year contract

Desharnais signed a four-year, $16.8 million contract with the Capitals on Wednesday.

Desharnais had a goal, seven points, 68 PIM, 103 hits and 83 blocks in 53 outings with San Jose in 2025-26. The 30-year-old blueliner is likely to serve primarily on the third pairing over the life of this deal.

  • Jett Woo D | ANA

Ducks' Jett Woo: Inks two-year deal

Woo put pen to paper on a two-year, two-way contract with Anaheim on Wednesday, Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reports.

Woo has yet to make his NHL debut despite being selected by the Cancuks in the second round of the 2018 NHL Draft. At this point, even if the 25-year-old blueliner does finally earn a promotion to the Ducks' main roster, he is unlikely to play enough games at the NHL level to offer any fantasy value.

  • Justin Holl D | WAS

Capitals' Justin Holl: Signs with Washington

Holl signed a one-year, $900,000 contract with the Capitals on Wednesday, David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports.

Holl spent most of the 2025-26 campaign in the minors, making 41 regular-season appearances for AHL Grand Rapids and recording two goals, 12 assists and 10 PIM. However, he had averaged 63.8 regular-season NHL appearances across the previous six campaigns, and he'll presumably have an opportunity to compete for an NHL role with his new team.

  • Dylan Anhorn D | CHI

Blackhawks' Dylan Anhorn: Picks up one-year deal

Anhorn secured a one-year, two-way contract with Chicago on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Anhorn was undrafted out of St. Cloud State and spent the last three seasons with AHL Manitoba. The 27-year-old blueliner notched three goals and 14 assists in 46 regular-season games for the Moose before adding three points in seven postseason contests. Anhorn figures to spend the bulk of his 2026-27 campaign in the minors with AHL Rockford.

  • Bruins' Jordan Harris: Inks one-year deal

Harris signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Bruins on Wednesday, per Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.

Harris had a goal and three points in four outings with AHL Providence as well as a goal and three points in eight appearances with Boston in the 2025-26 regular season. The 25-year-old blueliner will be in the mix for an Opening Night roster spot with Boston, but he will probably be a frequent healthy scratch if he does make the NHL team.

  • Devils' Vladislav Kolyachonok: Inks one-way contract

Kolyachonok signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with the Devils on Wednesday, per agent Dan Milstein.

Kolyachonok was an unrestricted free agent after Dallas declined to present him with a qualifying offer before Monday's deadline. He had a goal, three points, four PIM, five hits and 13 blocks in 13 regular-season appearances between Dallas and Boston in 2025-26. Kolyachonok's new contract is a one-way deal, which might indicate that New Jersey is seriously considering him for an Opening Night roster spot. If Kolyachonok does make the team, it will probably be as the seventh blueliner on the depth chart.

  • Bruins' Connor Clifton: Signs with Boston

Clifton signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract with the Bruins on Wednesday, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports.

Clifton spent the first five years of his career in Boston before suiting up for the Sabres and Penguins over the past three seasons. He made 50 regular-season appearances with Pittsburgh during the 2025-26 campaign, recording two goals, four assists, 180 hits, 84 blocked shots and 53 PIM while averaging 16:46 of ice time.

  • Sharks' Jacob Trouba: Staying on West Coast

Trouba signed a four-year, $33 million contract with San Jose on Wednesday.

Trouba missed just one regular-season game for the Ducks last year and recorded 10 goals and 25 assists along the way. His 35 points represent his highest total since 2021-22, when he was with the Rangers. With the Sharks, the veteran defenseman should see plenty of minutes while seeing time on the penalty kill.
