Sabres' Bowen Byram: Goal, assist in big win
Byram scored a power-play goal on four shots, added an assist and blocked two shots in Friday's 9-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Byram has collected three goals and three assists over his last six games. His tally was his first power-play point since Oct. 22 versus the Red Wings. The defenseman also took a hard fall during this contest, but he was able to return, finishing with 18:01 of ice time. For the year, he has 11 points, 32 shots on net, 28 blocked shots, 14 hits and a minus-7 rating across 21 appearances.

Simon Edvinsson D | DET
Red Wings' Simon Edvinsson: Not playing Saturday
Edvinsson (illness) won't play against Columbus on Saturday, per Ansar Khan of MLive.com.
Edvinsson wasn't on the ice for pregame warmups and will miss at least one game. He has provided three goals, six points, 25 shots on net, 48 blocked shots and 25 hits across 21 appearances this season. Edvinsson will be replaced in Saturday's lineup by Jacob Bernard-Docker.

Roman Josi D | NSH
Predators' Roman Josi: Ready to rock
Josi (upper body) has been activated from injured reserve and will return to the lineup Saturday versus Colorado, according to Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site.
Josi missed 12 games with the injury. The talented blueliner will be on the first pairing and top power-play unit against the Avalanche. He had a goal and four assists in eight games before he was hurt. Josi had 85 points in the 2023-24 regular season and is more than capable of averaging a point per game the rest of the campaign.

Jake Walman D | EDM
Oilers' Jake Walman: Deemed day-to-day
Walman (undisclosed) has been ruled out of Saturday's game in Florida, Tony Brar of Oilers TV reports.
Walman is day-to-day and could be back within a week, according to head coach Kris Knoblauch. The Oilers host Dallas on Tuesday before visiting Seattle next Saturday, but it's unclear exactly when Walman will be ready to return. He has three goals and seven assists in 17 games this season, but has been without a point in his last six outings.

Thomas Chabot D | OTT
Senators' Thomas Chabot: Removed from IR
Chabot (upper body) was activated from injured reserve Saturday, per the NHL media site.
Following a three-game absence, Chabot is poised to return to the lineup against San Jose on Saturday. He has collected two goals, 10 points, 19 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and 11 hits across 17 appearances this season. The Senators returned Lassi Thomson to AHL Belleville on Saturday to make room for Chabot on the roster.

Lassi Thomson D | OTT
Senators' Lassi Thomson: Sent to AHL
Thomson was reassigned to AHL Belleville on Saturday.
Thomson was a healthy scratch in Thursday's 3-2 win over Anaheim after being recalled from the AHL on Tuesday. The 25-year-old has played 18 career games in the NHL, the last one coming during the 2022-23 campaign.

Logan Mailloux D | STL
Blues' Logan Mailloux: Summoned from AHL
Mailloux was recalled from AHL Springfield on Saturday.
Mailloux has two goals in five minor-league outings this season. He hasn't earned a point while contributing five shots on net, six blocked shots and 13 hits in nine NHL appearances this campaign. Mailloux will be an option for Saturday's matchup against the Islanders, but it's unclear if he will be in the lineup.

Nolan Allan D | SJ
Blackhawks' Nolan Allan: Posts two points in AHL win
Allan scored a goal and added an assist in AHL Rockford's 4-3 win over Texas on Friday.
Allan doubled his point total for the year. His goal was his first of the season, and he's produced four points, 23 shots on net and 22 PIM through 16 appearances. The Blackhawks have regularly dressed seven defensemen at the NHL level this year, so one injury on the blue line wouldn't force a roster move. Even if they were to make a call-up, Allan has to compete with Ethan Del Mastro and Kevin Korchinski for an opportunity with the big club.

Victor Soderstrom D | BOS
Bruins' Victor Soderstrom: Nabs two helpers in win
Soderstrom posted two assists in AHL Providence's 3-2 win over Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Soderstrom is up to seven helpers in 13 AHL games this season. The 24-year-old is back in North America on a one-year contract, but he's yet to get a call-up to the Bruins. Soderstrom wasn't able to solidify an NHL job with the Coyotes over parts of four seasons before spending last year in his native Sweden. He's apparently buried on the depth chart, as both Jonathan Aspirot and Michael Callahan have been called up before Soderstrom to help replenish Boston's blue-line depth.

David Reinbacher D | MON
Canadiens' David Reinbacher: One of each in overtime win
Reinbacher scored a goal on three shots and added an assist in AHL Laval's 4-3 overtime win over Belleville on Friday.
Reinbacher earned his first goal and first multi-point effort of the season in this contest. He's at five points over nine games in 2025-26 since he recovered from a broken hand that kept him out of action for over four weeks to begin the season. The 21-year-old blueliner has had a long list of injuries early in his career, and the Canadiens' defense at the NHL level has been a strength, so the team can be patient with his development.
