  • Sharks' Shakir Mukhamadullin: Scores opening goal Sunday

Mukhamadullin scored a goal on two shots and blocked four shots in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Bruins.

Mukhamadullin ended a five-game point drought with the tally, though he's also been scratched three times in that span. The 23-year-old defenseman probably won't be an everyday player as long as the Sharks continue to have a crowded blue line. He's at one goal, five points, 10 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating across 11 appearances this season.

  • Cale Makar D | COL

Avalanche's Cale Makar: Nets lone goal in win

Makar scored a goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Blackhawks.

Makar's tally at 18:21 of the second period was all the help Scott Wedgewood needed in the win. The 27-year-old Makar was held off the scoresheet Saturday versus the Predators to snap his six-game point streak, but he has yet to be silenced in consecutive games this year. The superstar blueliner has nine goals, 29 points, 62 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a plus-22 rating through 22 appearances.

  • Cameron Reid D | NSH

Predators' Cameron Reid: Collects two points Sunday

Reid scored a goal and added an assist in OHL Kitchener's 6-2 win over Oshawa on Sunday.

Reid has six multi-point efforts this season, but this was his first such performance in eight games. The defenseman is maintaining a strong performance on offense with 19 points through 21 outings, and he's added a plus-8 rating. He's also serving as Kitchener's captain, showcasing a bit of leadership in addition to his steady play on the ice.

  • Hurricanes' Shayne Gostisbehere: Nets unassisted power-play goal

Gostisbehere scored a power-play goal, placed three shots on net and dished out two hits in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Sabres.

Gostisbehere's second goal of the season came under rare circumstances, as he scored an unassisted goal with the man advantage. The 32-year-old's twine finder brings his season totals up to 14 points and 23 shots on target through 13 appearances this season. Gostisbehere has occupied a spot on Carolina's top defensive pairing and power-play unit since his Nov. 11 return from an abdominal injury. While his scoring pace is bound to slow down sooner or later, he has a strong chance to reach the 40-point mark for the fifth season in a row if Gostisbehere can limit further absences.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Classified as day-to-day

Head coach Scott Arniel conveyed Sunday that Pionk (lower body) is "day-to-day for now," according to Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press.

Pionk is set to be evaluated by the team's medical staff Monday. Should he miss any time, Luke Schenn and Colin Miller will fill bottom-four roles on the right side. The Jets will kick off a five-game road trip Wednesday against the Capitals.

  • Filip Hronek D | VAN

Canucks' Filip Hronek: Moves past illness

Hronek (illness) will be in the lineup against Calgary on Sunday, per Ben Kuzma of Postmedia.

Hronek will avoid missing his first game of the season after missing Saturday's practice. The right-shot blueliner has been a solid contributor from the back end, as he's generated one goal, 12 points, 45 hits and a plus-3 rating while managing 24:23 of ice time per game over 22 appearances in 2025-26.

  • Will Borgen D | BOS

Rangers' Will Borgen: Lands on IR

Borgen (upper body) was put on injured reserve Sunday, Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic reports.

Borgen has missed four of the last five games, and he will get some additional time to recover from a lingering injury. He has accounted for one goal, three points, 16 shots on net, 24 blocked shots and 26 hits through 19 outings this season.

  • Neal Pionk D | WPG

Jets' Neal Pionk: Suffers injury Sunday

Pionk (lower body) won't return to Sunday's game against Minnesota.

Pionk logged only 2:05 of ice time before exiting Sunday's matchup. He entered the contest with one goal, four assists, 43 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and 41 hits in 20 appearances. If Pionk misses time, Luke Schenn will probably return to the lineup.

  • Canadiens' Adam Engstrom: Up after AHL explosion

Engstrom has been recalled by the Canadiens from AHL Laval, the team announced Sunday

One day after recording five points for AHL Laval, Engstrom has been brought up to join the NHL club. The 22-year-old has 14 points (five goals, nine assists) in 18 games at the AHL level. Should he appear in a game with the Canadiens, it would be the first NHL appearance of his career. Whether that will happen remains to be seen considering Montreal's six defensemen are pretty set at the moment.

  • Sharks' Mario Ferraro: Snags assist Saturday

Ferraro recorded an assist and two hits in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Senators.

Ferraro snapped a seven-game point drought with the helper. The 27-year-old defenseman plays a top-four role for the Sharks, but he's there for his defense rather than his offense. On the year, he's at five points, 22 shots on net, 39 hits, 52 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over 22 contests.
