Predators' Mavrik Bourque: Signs six-year deal
Bourque signed a six-year, $33 million contract with the Predators on Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Bourque was traded to Nashville on Wednesday to help Dallas free up potential cap space. The 24-year-old is now locked in as part of the Predators' young core. He had 20 goals, 21 assists, 147 shots on net, 78 hits and a plus-6 rating over 82 regular-season appearances in 2025-26. Look for Bourque to fill a middle-six role with his new team.

Hendrix Lapierre C | PIT
Penguins' Hendrix Lapierre: Inks two-year contract
Lapierre signed a two-year, $2.6 million contract with the Penguins on Friday.
Lapierre produced 16 points over 74 appearances with the Capitals in 2025-26. He was dealt to the Penguins on June 25 as the Capitals needed to shed commitments following their aggressive retooling prior to the draft. The 24-year-old forward will be in contention for bottom-six minutes in 2026-27, but he may not play on an everyday basis.

Leo Carlsson C | ANA
Ducks' Leo Carlsson: Accepts massive offer sheet
Carlsson accepted a five-year, $90 million offer sheet with the Flyers on Friday. Anaheim has seven days to either match the contract or allow him to join Philadelphia.
The Ducks would receive four first-round picks from Philadelphia if Anaheim declines to match the offer sheet, per Adam Kimelman of NHL.com. The 21-year-old Carlsson logged 70 regular-season outings in 2025-26 and set career highs with 29 goals and 67 points. He's got plenty of upside, so it's not hard to see why Philadelphia is interested in him. Still, this would give him the highest cap hit of any player in 2026-27, ahead of even Kirill Kaprizov ($17 million) and Leon Draisaitl ($14 million). When coupled with the draft picks the Flyers would have to surrender, Philadelphia is taking a big risk. However, the Flyers' move has also put the Ducks in the awkward position of either giving Carlsson significantly more than they likely wanted or watching a young star leave just as Anaheim had seemingly transitioned from a rebuilding squad into a genuine contender.

He also had five goals and 17 points in 11 regular-season outings with AHL San Diego last campign. The 29-year-old isn't guaranteed a bottom-six spot with the Lightning, but he should at least get an opportunity to earn that position during training camp.

Blake Coleman LW | MIN
Wild's Blake Coleman: Traded to Minnesota
Coleman and Olli Maatta were traded to the Wild from the Flames on Thursday in exchange for Jake Middleton, a 2027 third-round pick, a 2028 fourth-round pick and a 2029 second-round pick, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Coleman was a consistent contributor over his five years in Calgary, recording at least 33 points and 107 hits in each season. Across 69 regular-season appearances last year, he recorded 20 goals, 15 assists, 152 hits, 49 PIM and 48 blocked shots while averaging 17:20 of ice time. According to PuckPedia, it's a two-year, $1.75 million contract. Barre-Boulet was a point-per-game player in the AHL in 2025-26, logging 26 goals and 44 assists over 70 regular-season outings, though he dipped to 12 points in 17 playoff games. Raphael Lavoie C | LV
Golden Knights' Raphael Lavoie: Signs new deal with Vegas
Lavoie signed a contract with the Golden Knights on Wednesday.
Per PuckPedia, it's a one-year, one-way deal worth $900,000. Lavoie hasn't earned a point in 17 career NHL games. He was plenty impressive with AHL Henderson last year, earning 30 goals and 26 assists over 45 regular-season outings as well as three goals in six playoff games. Lavoie's deal is probably a two-way contract given his usage over the years, but he should have a chance to compete for a roster spot in Vegas during training camp.
-
Marc Gatcomb C | LV
Golden Knights' Marc Gatcomb: Links up with Vegas
Gatcomb signed a contract with the Golden Knights on Wednesday.
According to PuckPedia, it's a two-year, $1.75 million contract. Gatcomb should have a chance to compete for a fourth-line job in training camp. The 26-year-old put up seven points, 55 shots on net and 192 hits in 49 regular-season outings with the Islanders in 2025-26, but they didn't give him a qualifying offer Monday. Gatcomb will help replace some of the toughness Vegas lost when Cole Smith departed in free agency, and Keegan Kolesar was traded to Detroit.

Sam Lafferty C | FLA
Panthers' Sam Lafferty: Signs with Florida
Lafferty signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers on Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Lafferty earned just two points in 29 games for the Blackhawks in 2025-26. He added nine shots on net, 14 PIM and 35 hits. The 31-year-old will likely max out as a fourth-line option, and if he doesn't impress in training camp, he'll likely get waived and demoted to the AHL.
