  • Geno Smith QB | NYJ

Raiders' Geno Smith: Status for Week 16 uncertain

Raiders head coach Pete Carroll declined Monday to state whether Smith (shoulder/back) is expected to practice Wednesday or return to action for Sunday's matchup against the Texans, Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports.

Smith didn't practice in any capacity Week 15 before being ruled out for Las Vegas' blowout loss to the Eagles. Kenny Pickett will figure to draw another start if Smith is unable to return versus Houston on Sunday. Carroll had previously expressed optimism about Smith's chances of retaking the field Week 16, but it doesn't appear a more substantial update on the veteran quarterback's health will arrive until Wednesday's practice report is released.

  • Mike Hughes CB | ATL

Falcons' Mike Hughes: Out for Week 16

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said that Hughes (ankle) will miss Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

The veteran cornerback has already been ruled out for the Week 16 contest after sustaining an ankle sprain in Thursday's 29-28 win over the Buccaneers. Hughes is a crucial part of the Falcons secondary, recording 51 total tackles and seven passes defensed and one interception in 12 appearances this season.

  • Anthony Walker MLB | TB

Buccaneers' Anthony Walker: Headed to Tampa Bay

The Buccaneers signed Walker off the Colts' practice squad Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Walker's last in-game action came with the Dolphins in 2024, when he appeared in 14 contests and recorded 68 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, and two passes defensed, with one interception. Now with the Buccaneers, Walker is likely to play a depth role in the team's inside-linebacker corps.

  • Larry Borom G | DET

Dolphins' Larry Borom: Dealing with illness

Borom (illness) has been downgraded and is now questionable for Monday's matchup against the Steelers, C. Isaiah Smalls II of the Miami Herald reports.

The Missouri product was a late addition to the Dolphins' injury report, and his status for Monday night's contest is now in question. If Borom is unable to go in Week 15, expect Kendall Lamm to operate as the Dolphins' top reserve offensive tackle.

  • Buccaneers' Zyon McCollum: Placed on IR

McCollum (hip) was placed on the injured reserve list Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

The fourth-year pro sustained a hip injury in the Week 15 loss to the Falcons, and it now appears serious enough for him to land on IR. McCollum will be forced to miss the Buccaneers' next four games at a minimum, meaning his 2025 regular season has come to an end. Across 13 appearances this year, the 26-year-old tallied 65 total tackles and six passes defensed, including one interception. While he's sidelined, expect Benjamin Morrison to have an expanded role in Tampa Bay's secondary.

  • Drake London WR | ATL

Falcons' Drake London: Optimism for Week 16 return

Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said Monday that he's "very hopeful" London (knee) will return to the lineup for Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals, Josh Kendall of The Athletic reports.

London has missed four consecutive games due to a PCL sprain in his left knee, in which span he hasn't practiced. Morris indicated that handling on-field activity will be crucial for London to return Week 16, meaning his status at Wednesday's practice will need to be monitored closely. In London's absence during last week's win over the Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, TE Kyle Pitts broke out for a career-best 11-166-3 line on 12 targets. If the No. 1 wideout does manage to retake the field on the road versus Arizona this weekend, however, London will figure to immediately resume operating as Kirk Cousins' top target in the passing game.

  • Brandon Jones SAF | DEN

Broncos' Brandon Jones: Dealing with pec injury

Jones is set to undergo an MRI after sustaining a pec injury in Sunday's 34-26 win over the Packers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Texas product played just 51 percent of the Broncos' defensive snaps in the Week 15 win due to a pec injury. Jones is an integral part of Denver's secondary, recording 78 total tackles and seven passes defensed, including one interception, across 14 appearances this season. His practice participation throughout the week will likely provide the best indication of whether he can play in the Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars.

  • Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes: Seeking second opinion

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Monday that Mahomes is traveling to Dallas to receive a second opinion on the surgery required to repair the torn ACL in his left knee, Nate Taylor of ESPN.com reports.

Mahomes remains out for the rest of the season due to the injury he sustained Week 15 versus the Chargers, but it appears that the exact surgery required to repair his left ACL, and therefore potentially also his recovery timetable, have yet to be determined. Expect clarity on Mahomes' upcoming procedure, as well as a timetable for him to undergo surgery, before long. In any case, Gardner Minshew is positioned to finish the 2025 campaign under center for Kansas City, beginning with Sunday's road matchup against the Titans.

  • Mario Edwards DT | HOU

Texans' Mario Edwards: Out for the year

Edwards sustained a torn pec in Sunday's 40-20 win over the Cardinals and will miss the remainder of the season, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The 31-year-old has appeared in all 14 of the Texans' games this season, recording 13 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks, across 279 defensive snaps. With Edwards set to miss the rest of the year, expect Sheldon Rankins and Tommy Togiai to operate as Houston's top interior defensive linemen.

  • Arian Smith WR | NYJ

Jets' Arian Smith: Blanks in Week 15

Smith didn't record a reception on two targets in Sunday's 48-20 loss to the Jaguars.

Smith hadn't received a target in his previous four games and was unable to haul in either of his opportunities during Sunday's loss. The rookie wideout from Georgia has made 13 appearances this season, catching six of 12 targets for 47 tards while rushing three times for 11 yards. He's expected to remain a depth option in the Jets' receiving corps in the Week 16 matchup against the Saints.
