Nikola Kalinic TE | CHI
Nikola Kalinic: Goes back to practice squad
Kalinic reverted to Chicago's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Kalinic was elevated for the Bears' wild-card win over Green Bay on Saturday and logged 15 snaps, all of which came on special teams. The Bears are set at tight end with Colston Loveland, Cole Kmet and Durham Smythe, so if Kalinic is elevated again for the divisional round against the Rams, he'd figure to work exclusively on special teams again.

Frank Gore Jr. RB | BUF
Frank Gore: Lands back on practice squad
The Bills reverted Gore to their practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Ty Johnson (ankle) missed Sunday's wild-card win over Jacksonville, giving Gore an opportunity to log his first non-preseason NFL action as a pro. Gore ended up playing four offensive snaps, catching his only target for six yards. If Johnson is unable to return to action for Saturday's divisional-round matchup against Denver, Gore could be elevated again, though he'd be well behind James Cook and Ray Davis in the RB pecking order.

Will Howard QB | PIT
Steelers' Will Howard: Emergency third QB for wild-card game
Howard (coach's decision) is inactive and will serve as Pittsburgh's emergency third quarterback for Monday's AFC wild-card game versus Houston, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
This is a familiar role for Howard, as he's been Pittsburgh's emergency QB every week since coming off IR in mid-November. Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph will continue to serve as the Steelers' QB1 and QB2, respectively, while Howard will be eligible to enter Monday's game only if both quarterbacks ahead of him have to exit due to injury, illness or ejection.

Texans' Davis Mills: Available for wild-card round
Mills (personal) is listed as active for Monday's wild-card matchup against the Steelers.
Mills traveled to Pittsburgh a day late for personal reasons. Now back with the team, the 27-year-old will be the backup quarterback option behind C.J. Stroud. Graham Mertz (coach's decision) is inactive for the contest.
