Scott Matlock RB | LAC
Chargers' Scott Matlock: Taken off injured reserve
The Chargers activated Matlock (foot) from injured reserve Saturday, but he's still listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Matlock was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, and he drew the questionable tag after logging a full practice Friday. The fact that he was activated from IR indicates that Matlock has a good chance of making his 2026 regular-season debut Sunday.

Jeremy McNichols RB | WAS
Commanders' Jeremy McNichols: Ruled out for Week 5
McNichols (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants.
McNichols remains on injured reserve, so his next chance to suit up will be Week 6 against the 49ers on Monday night. The Commanders will continue to roll with Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Rachaad White, Austin Ekelers and special-teamer Craig Reynolds out of the backfield.
-
Van Jefferson WR | WAS
Commanders' Van Jefferson: Up from practice squad
The Commanders elevated Jefferson from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants.
With Stefon Diggs (hamstring) and Jaylin Lane (ankle/IR) out and Terry McLaurin (hamstring) questionable, Jefferson will give the Commanders an experienced option behind Antonio Williams, Dyami Brown and Treylon Burks at wideout.

Trey Lance QB | LAC
Chargers' Trey Lance: Placed on injured reserve
The Chargers placed Lance (groin) on injured reserve Saturday.
Lance has been on the Chargers' injury report since late September due to a groin issue. He suited up for each of the Chargers' last two games, but it appears his injury has regressed enough for him to warrant a stint on injured reserve. As such, Lance will be sidelined for at least four games, and the next time he can play is Week 10 against the Ravens on Sunday, Nov. 16. DJ Uiagalelei will be the Chargers' backup to Justin Herbert while Lance is sidelined.

Storm Duck CB | MIA
Dolphins' Storm Duck: Out for Week 5
Duck (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Duck remains on the reserve/PUP list. After practicing in full this week, Duck will have a better chance to suit up in Week 7 following Miami's bye next week.

Deven Thompkins WR | LV
Raiders' Deven Thompkins: Brought up from practice squad
The Raiders elevated Thompkins from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Jalen Nailor (concussion) won't play against the Patriots on Sunday, so the Raiders added depth to their wide receiver group by bringing Thompkins up from the practice squad. Thompkins also has experience as a returner, so he could contribute on special teams if he's active for Sunday's game.
-
Roman Hemby RB | LV
Raiders' Roman Hemby: Elevated from practice squad
The Raiders elevated Hemby from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
The move gives the Raiders some added insurance in the backfield in the scenario that Ashton Jeanty (ankle) is unable to play against the Patriots on Sunday. Hemby was signed by the Raiders in late April as an undrafted free agent, and the rookie out of Indiana was signed to the team's practice squad in early September after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp.
-
Carlos Washington Jr. RB | MIA
Dolphins' Carlos Washington: Elevated for Week 5
The Dolphins elevated Washington from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Washington's promotion to the active roster gives the Dolphins backfield insurance in case Jaylen Wright (foot) is unable to play against the Bengals on Sunday. If Wright is ruled out, then Washington and recent waiver claim Kaytron Allen would operate in rotational roles behind Ollie Gordon.

Jamaal Pritchett WR | NYJ
Jamaal Pritchett: Cut by Jets
The Jets waived Pritchett on Saturday.
The move opens up a spot on the 53-man roster for Tim Patrick (groin), who was activated from injured reserve in a corresponding move Saturday. Pritchett has played three special-teams snaps across one appearance this season, returning one kick for 27 yards.
