Claudin Cherelus: Cut from IR with injury settlement
The Panthers waived Cherelus (shoulder) from their injured reserve list with an injury settlement Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Less than a week after sending Cherelus to IR with a shoulder injury, Carolina has decided to let him go entirely. Unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period, he'll become an unrestricted free agent eligible to suit up for any other team once he's healthy.

Bills' Ar'maj Reed-Adams: Logs full practice Wednesday
Reed-Adams (elbow) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Bears' Braxton Jones: Week-to-week with knee injury
Jones is week-to-week with a knee injury, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Jones exited the Bears' Monday night win over the Eagles early with a knee injury. After extensive evaluation, it has been determined that Jones will need to miss at least a week, if not longer, with the injury. Teven Jenkins G | CLE
Browns' Teven Jenkins: Won't play vs. Steelers
Jenkins (back) is officially listed as out for Thursday's game versus Pittsburgh.
Jenkins was able to return to practice during the week on a limited basis, but he'll have to wait at least one more game to make his 2026 regular-season debut. Rookie third-rounder Austin Barber should get another start at right guard in Week 4.

Monroe Freeling OT | CAR
Panthers' Monroe Freeling: DNP due to concussion
Freeling (concussion) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Freeling entered the league's concussion protocol following the Panthers' 21-18 loss to the Browns in Week 3. A return to practice would indicate that the rookie first-rounder is progressing in his recovery, but even if he logs a full session, he would need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to play. Stone Forsythe and Albert Reese would be the top candidates to start at right tackle if Freeling is not cleared to play against the Lions on Sunday.

Elgton Jenkins C | CLE
Browns' Elgton Jenkins: Won't play Thursday
Jenkins (concussion) is officially listed as out for Thursday's game versus the Steelers.
Jenkins was unable to practice during the week after entering concussion protocol, and he'll now spend at least one game on the sidelines as he recovers. In his stead, Luke Wypler projects to start at center in Week 4.

Brandin Echols CB | PIT
Steelers' Brandin Echols: Questionable after clearing protocol
Echols (concussion) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Browns, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reported Wednesday.
Echols cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol Wednesday but remains questionable for Thursday's game. It is unclear why the cornerback may be held out of the contest, but it may have to do with the limited amount of prep the 28-year-old was able to achieve in a short week.

Damien Lewis G | CAR
Panthers' Damien Lewis: Could return after Panthers' bye
Coach Dave Canales said Wednesday that Lewis (elbow) may return to game action following Carolina's bye in Week 5, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Lewis sustained a UCL injury during Sunday's game at Cleveland, and it looks like he'll have to miss at least one game as a result. For now, Corey Bullock figures to start at left guard Sunday versus the Lions.

Jonathan Bullard DE | DAL
Cowboys' Jonathan Bullard: Lands on IR
The Cowboys placed Bullard (calf) on injured reserve Wednesday, Tommy Yarrish of the Cowboys' official site reports.
Bullard suffered a calf injury during the Cowboys' Week 3 loss to the Ravens. The injury is severe enough for him to require a stint on IR, which means he'll have to miss at least the next four games and is eligible to return for Week 8 against the Cardinals on Sunday, Nov. 1. Rookie fourth-rounder LT Overton could see a bump in rotational defensive snaps for as long as Bullard is on the shelf.
