Pierce is welcoming back Barkley (hamstring) to the Eagles backfield in Week 7 due to the latter being active Monday versus the Cowboys.
With Barkley out of the lineup the last two games, Pierce accounted for 27 touches for 62 yards from scrimmage and one rushing TD. In Barkley's two healthy outings this season, he averaged 16.0 touches per game, and if he takes on such a role Monday, Pierce will have to fight for scraps in the Eagles offense. Elijah Mitchell also is on hand for RB reps.
