Mark Gronowski QB | HOU
Mark Gronowski: Cut loose by Houston
The Texans waived Gronowski on Saturday.
Gronowski was signed to the Texans' 53-man roster Wednesday to provide the team with depth at quarterback. He's been cut just three days later, but the expectation is that the Texans will bring back Gronowski on the practice squad if he clears waivers, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Bryce Oliver WR | HOU
Bryce Oliver: Let go by Houston
The Texans waived Oliver on Saturday.
Oliver will be booted off the 53-man roster just two days after being signed by the Texans, but he's expected to stay in Houston on the practice squad if he clears waivers, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Oliver appeared in three regular-season games for the Titans in 2025.

Joshua Williams CB | TEN
Titans' Joshua Williams: Won't make 2026 debut vs. Houston
Williams (pectoral) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Texans, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Williams opened the season on the reserve/PUP list due to a pectoral injury that he sustained during training camp. He was a full participant in practice all week, but he's not quite ready to make his 2026 regular-season debut. Williams' next opportunity to do so is Week 6 against the Colts on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Odell Beckham Jr. WR | MIN
Vikings' Odell Beckham: Up from practice squad
The Vikings officially elevated Beckham from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game in New Orleans, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
With Justin Jefferson (ankle) and Jordan Addison (hamstring) tending to injuries and listed as questionable for Week 5 action, Minnesota has brought in reinforcements from the practice squad in the form of Beckham and Jeshaun Jones. Beckham only joined the team Wednesday, so even if he ends up being active, he likely doesn't have a bevy of situations in which he'll see the field.

Zach Ertz TE | PHI
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Back up from practice squad
The Eagles elevated Ertz from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London.
Philadelphia's offense will be welcoming back No. 1 tight end Dallas Goedert from a two-game absence due to a sprained MCL in his right knee, but with the team down top RB Saquon Barkley and WR DeVonta Smith as they deal with respective hamstring injuries, head coach Nick Sirianni may be forced into using more two-TE sets. Through two contests in his return to the Eagles, Ertz has hauled in three of six targets for 22 yards while playing behind Johnny Mundt, so he figures to be no more than the No. 3 at the position in Week 5.

Myles Garrett LB | LAR
Rams' Myles Garrett: Not ready to practice
Garrett (knee), per head coach Sean McVay, is "on track" in his recovery but is not expected to return to practice next week, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Things seems to be progressing in the right direction for Garrett, but McVay's comments indicate he will not return from injured reserve when first eligible in Week 6. Assuming Garrett remains out of practice next week as anticipated, his next chance to return will arrive in Week 7 against the Raiders.

Aaron Donald DE | LAR
Rams' Aaron Donald: 'Good to go' for MNF
Donald (back) didn't practice Saturday, per head coach Sean McVay, but he's "good to go" for Monday's game versus the Bills, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
Donald sat out Week 4 due to back soreness and then logged a full session Friday, and while a downgrade in activity one day later technically can be cause for concern, it likely was a veteran rest day. Through two appearances since ending his retirement, Donald has four tackles while logging a shade more than 50 percent of the defensive snaps both times.

Mack Hollins WR | NE
Patriots' Mack Hollins: Lands on injured reserve
The Patriots placed Hollins (calf) on injured reserve Saturday, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Hollins was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders due to a calf injury, which is severe enough for the veteran wide receiver to require a stint on IR. As such, Hollins is prohibited from playing for at least the next four games, so the next time he can play is Week 9 against the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 8. Romeo Doubs, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism and Kyle Williams will all have expanded roles on offense in Hollins' absence, though the Patriots could have A.J. Brown (ankle) back in the fold over the coming weeks.
-
Christopher Brooks RB | GB
Packers' Chris Brooks: Moves to injured reserve
The Packers placed Brooks (ankle) on injured reserve Saturday.
Brooks thus will miss at least the next four games, including Sunday against the Bears, due to the ankle injury that he sustained during a Week 4 win at Tampa Bay. With Josh Jacobs (personal) still on the commissioner's exempt list, MarShawn Lloyd, Kaleb Johnson and Pierre Strong are the current healthy running backs on Green Bay's active roster.
-
Shemar Turner DT | CHI
Bears' Shemar Turner: Staying on PUP
Turner (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against Green Bay.
Turner ended Week 5 prep with back-to-back full practices, but the second-year defensive tackle is not quite ready to make his 2026 regular-season debut. He's in the final stages of his recovery from a torn ACL that he sustained in October of 2025, which was why he opened the 2026 campaign on the reserve/PUP list. Turner's next chance to return is Week 6 against the Falcons on Sunday, Oct. 18.
