  • Roman Wilson WR | PIT

Steelers' Roman Wilson: Won't play in Week 18

Wilson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Bengals, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

Wilson went on injured reserve Oct. 28 due to a hamstring injury. He was designated to return from IR on Tuesday, but he won't play in the regular-season finale, despite being a full participant in practice all week.

  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Limited again Thursday

Pearsall (illness/chest) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.

Pearsall is operating with a cap on his reps so far during Week 18 prep due to an illness and a chest injury, both of which are new health concerns for the rookie first-round pick. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not he has a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Arizona, but if he's active, Pearsall will be working with QB Joshua Dobbs instead of Brock Purdy, who isn't expected to be available due to a banged-up right throwing elbow.

  • Ladd McConkey WR | LAC

Chargers' Ladd McConkey: Limited in return to practice

McConkey (toe) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.

McConkey sat out Wednesday's session, but his limited participation Thursday has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. The Chargers final Week 18 injury report will be released Friday and will reveal the game statuses of both McConkey and fellow wideout Joshua Palmer (foot), who hasn't practiced this week.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Sidelined for practice again

Palmer (foot) was a non-participant in Thursday's practice.

Palmer has been a spectator for both of the Chargers' first two Week 18 practices, so he'll likely need to take part in Friday's session in some fashion in order to avoid a designation for Sunday's regular-season finale in Las Vegas. If Palmer is sidelined for Week 18, DJ Chark and Derius Davis could both be in store for expanded roles at receiver.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | WAS

49ers' Deebo Samuel: DNP on Thursday

Samuel (ribs/wrist) won't take part in Thursday's practice, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Samuel has yet to mix into drills this week due to two health concerns and thus may need to practice in some capacity Friday to avoid a designation ahead of Sunday's game at Arizona. With Brock Purdy (elbow) unlikely to play this weekend, Samuel will be on the receiving end of passes from Joshua Dobbs, assuming the wide receiver is active.

  • Nelson Agholor WR | BAL

Ravens' Nelson Agholor: No designation for Week 18

Agholor (concussion) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Browns.

Agholor was a full participant in practice throughout the week, and his lack of a designation for Saturday's contest indicates that he's received clearance from an independent neurologist and has been removed from the five-step concussion protocol. He should return to his familiar role as Baltimore's No. 3 wideout behind Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

  • Buccaneers' Sterling Shepard: Stays limited at practice

Shepard (hamstring) was limited at Thursday's practice.

With back-to-back capped sessions under his belt this week, Shepard appears as if he has a chance to put an end to a one-game absence Sunday against the Saints. Ultimately, Friday's injury report may provide a sense of his odds to do so. If he's able to suit up this weekend, Shepard likely would resume his role as the Buccaneers' No. 3 WR behind Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan, which has amounted to a 15-157-0 line on 24 targets in five appearances since the team's Week 11 bye.

  • Saints' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Full practice Thursday

    Valdes-Scantling (chest) practiced fully Thursday.

After sitting out Week 16 at Green Bay due to a chest injury and an illness, Valdes-Scantling was able to suit up this past Sunday versus the Raiders, but his 78 percent snap share didn't amount to much in the box score (no catches on two targets). He since has followed up a limited session Wednesday with full participation one day later, thereby paving the way for active status Sunday at Tampa Bay. With no practice reps to speak of for No. 1 QB Derek Carr (left hand) this week, Valdes-Scantling appears as if he'll be on the receiving end of passes from rookie Spencer Rattler yet again.

  • Charlie Jones WR | CIN

Bengals' Charlie Jones: Questionable for Week 18

Jones (groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Steelers.

Jones has been sidelined since Week 8 due to a groin injury, but he has a chance to return for Saturday's AFC North clash after logging limited practices all week. Given the playoff implications, Jones might suit up for the Bengals' regular-season finale even if he isn't at 100 percent health. Jermaine Burton and Isaiah Williams would continue to serve as Cincinnati's kickoff and punt returners, respectively, if Jones is not cleared to play.

  • DeVonta Smith WR | PHI

Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Tending to wrist injury

    Smith (wrist/rest) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice.

Smith has kicked off Week 18 prep with back-to-back DNPs due to wrist and rest, but even if those absences are related to maintenance, he likely is among the list of Philadelphia starters that aren't expected to play Sunday against the Giants along with QB Jalen Hurts (concussion) and RB Saquon Barkley. The Eagles could make a ruling on Smith's availability for their regular-season finale as soon as they post their final injury report of the week Friday.
