Jackson was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday.

Jackson reeled in two catches for 26 yards while appearing in two games with Los Angeles during the preseason. The wide receiver will now look for his next opportunity, which could come with the Chargers' practice squad.

The Chargers waived Johnson (undisclosed) with an injury settlement Tuesday.

It's unclear whether this injury is related to the undisclosed issue Johnson was dealing with at the beginning of training camp. Regardless, the injury settlement allows the 25-year-old wideout to sign with a team once he is fully healthy. Johnson played in all four of the Chargers' preseason games and logged four catches (on six targets) for 37 yards.

Campbell was waived by the Chargers on Tuesday.

Campbell led the team with eight catches and 147 receiving yards while playing in three preseason games. The wide receiver signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May, and if he clears waivers, there's a good chance he sticks around as a member of the practice squad.

The 49ers waived Bergen on Tuesday.

A rookie seventh-round pick, Bergen was unable to secure a roster spot with the 49ers despite their injury-riddled receiver room. The Montana product was likely drafted for his returning abilities, as he returned eight punts and one kick return for touchdowns during college, but he didn't show enough during the preseason to secure a role. Bergen has a strong case for the practice squad if he clears waivers.

The 49ers released Turner on Tuesday.

Turner played in all three preseason games for the 49ers and posted three receptions (five targets) for 41 yards. The 29-year-old wide receiver last made a serious impact with the Cowboys in 2021 when he reeled in 12 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns while contributing on special teams. Turner will aim to secure a practice-squad role this year.

The 49ers released Chosen on Tuesday.

Chosen played all three preseason games for the 49ers and registered nine receptions for 117 yards and no touchdowns. Nevertheless, he was shown the door despite a thin wide receiver room with multiple injuries in San Francisco. At 32 years old, Chosen's best days are likely behind him. He played two games with the Dolphins last season and caught one pass for five yards.

The 49ers released Hodgins on Tuesday.

Hodgins was a productive player with the Giants between the 2022 and 2023 seasons, tallying 54 catches for 581 yards and seven touchdowns. However, he fell out of favor in 2024 and spent most of the season on the practice squad. Hodgins may be headed toward a similar fate in 2025.

The 49ers released Gage (knee) on Tuesday.

Gage suffered a sprained MCL on Aug. 21 and was expected to miss seven to 10 days, meaning he could be ready for Week 1 if he signs elsewhere. The 2018 sixth-round pick last played for the Buccaneers in 2022 and posted 51 receptions for 426 yards and five touchdowns through 13 games. Gage suffered a season-ending injury during training camp in 2023, and he failed to make an active roster in 2024.

The Falcons waived Nash on Tuesday, Terrin Waack, Will McFadden and Tori McElhaney of the team's official site report.

Despite finishing second on the Falcons in catches (12) and receiving yards (136) across three preseason games, Nash will not be on the initial 53-man roster for the start of the regular season. The undrafted rookie out of San Jose State should garner some interest on the waiver wire, but he would be a candidate to remain in Atlanta on the team's practice squad were he to go unclaimed.

The Lions waived Keeney-James on Tuesday.

An undrafted free agent out of Massachusetts, Keeney-James led the Minutemen with 50 catches for 839 yards and six touchdowns through 12 games in 2024. Keeney-James will turn 25 years old in September. He'll look to secure a practice-squad role if he clears waivers.
