Jamison Crowder WR | WAS
Jets' Jamison Crowder: Limited in return to practice
Crowder, who has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, logged a limited practice Thursday due to a groin injury, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Prior to landing on the COVID-19 list, Crowder had been managing a groin issue, so it's possible that Thursday's limitations were precautionary. Meanwhile, fellow WR Keelan Cole (knee) also was limited Thursday, which sets the stage for Friday's practice to be key with regard to the health/availability of the team's wideout corps as Sunday's game against the Patriots approaches.

Mike Strachan WR | WAS
Colts' Mike Strachan: Limited by ankle issue Thursday
The Colts listed Strachan as a limited participant at Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury.
Thanks to T.Y. Hilton (neck) opening the season on injured reserve, Strachan earned a decent-sized role in his NFL debut Week 1 against the Seahawks. In the Colts' 28-16 loss, Strachan played 16 snaps as the team's No. 4 receiver and reeled in two targets for 26 yards. His mid-week addition to the Colts' injury report could indicate that he picked up the ankle issue during Thursday's practice session, putting his availability for Sunday's game against the Rams in question. The Colts will wait and see what Strachan is able to do at Friday's practice before deciding whether he'll carry a designation into the weekend.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Practices fully
Brown (knee) returned to a full practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
Brown was limited at practice Wednesday, but that was likely a case of the wideout's reps being managed, given that he's bouncing back from offseason knee procedures. In Week 1, Brown logged 52 of a possible 64 snaps on on offense in Tennessee's 38-13 loss to Arizona, en route to catching four of his eight targets for 49 yards and a TD. Barring any setbacks, he's on track for steady snaps and targets on a weekly basis in his starting WR role opposite Julio Jones.

Gabe Davis WR | BUF
Bills' Gabriel Davis: Logs limited practice
Davis (ankle) returned to a limited practice Thursday.
After sitting out Wednesday's session, Davis' return to practice, albeit in a limited fashion, bodes well for his chances of playing Sunday against the Dolphins. Friday's final injury report of the week will reveal whether the Bills' No. 4 receiver heads into the weekend with an injury designation or cleared for Week 2 action.
-
Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Ravens' Marquise Brown: Another missed practice
Brown (ankle) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Brown was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice, so with another absence on tap Thursday what the wideout is able to do Friday will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday against Kansas City. If Brown is limited or out this weekend, added snaps/targets would be available for Devin Duvernay, James Proche and Tylan Wallace.

Gabe Davis WR | BUF
Bills' Gabriel Davis: Back at practice
Davis (ankle) was present for practice Thursday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN.com reports.
Davis sat out Wednesday's session, but his return to practice Thursday has the wideout headed in the right direction as Sunday's game against the Dolphins approaches. The Bills' upcoming injury report will reveal whether Davis practiced fully or was limited.

Jamison Crowder WR | WAS
Jets' Jamison Crowder: Off COVID list
Crowder has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Crowder missed the Jets' season opener, but he is now on track to suit up Sunday against the Patriots and claim a share of the team's slot duties in Week 2. With Keelan Cole (knee) trending toward a return as well, it looks like New York's wideout corps could be at full strength this weekend.
-
Joe Reed WR | CHI
Joe Reed: Lands on injured list
Reed was placed on the practice squad injured list Wednesday due to an undisclosed injury.
Reed was waived by the Chargers late in training camp after missing part of the preseason with a foot injury. Now back on the practice squad, Reed could make an impact on special teams at some point during the regular season if he can return to health.
-
Shi Smith WR | KC
Panthers' Shi Smith: Status remains uncertain
Smith (shoulder) returned to practice fully Wednesday, though it's not clear he will play in week 2 against the Saints, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Smith has been sidelined since the team's final preseason game on Aug. 28. That he returned to full practice is a positive, though it could take the rookie some time to ramp back up to be ready for game action.
-
Cole Beasley WR | NYG
Bills' Cole Beasley: Rests Wednesday
Beasley received a rest day during Wednesday's practice.
Beasley's day off may have been a needed mental break as well, as the Bills are coming off a tough loss, and he was booed by some of the crowd during Sunday's opener in light of his vocal stance about the COVID-19 vaccine. None of this should affect Beasley's role in the offense, as he's one of Josh Allen's favorite targets, and he drew a whopping 13 looks in the Week 1 loss. He should remain a big part of the game plan Sunday against the Dolphins, especially if Gabriel Davis (ankle) can't suit up or is limited.
