DeAndre Hopkins WR | BAL
Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins: Dealing with rib injury
Hopkins didn't practice Wednesday due to a rib injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Hopkins has yet to hit the 100-yard mark through two contests, but he nonetheless has been productive, recording 10 catches (on 12 targets) for 137 yards and three touchdowns. He may be poised to reach triple digits in receiving yardage Sunday against a Jaguars defense that has allowed 11.2 yards per target to wideouts this season, the third-worst mark in the NFL. Having said that, Hopkins first will have to work his way through a health concern to be cleared for game action.

Curtis Samuel WR | BUF
Football Team's Curtis Samuel: Spotted runing on side field
Samuel (groin) was running along the sideline during Wednesday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
It seems to be the first time reports have seen Samuel on a practice field since he was placed on injured reserve Sept. 10. He's ineligible through Week 3 and may miss additional time beyond that, but there's at least now a sign of progress, even if it's a far cry from actually participating in practice. Meanwhile, rookie third-round pick Dyami Brown has been quiet in the No. 2 receiver role, catching four of 10 targets for 32 yards on 90 percent snap share through two weeks.
-
Russell Gage WR | SF
Falcons' Russell Gage: No practice reps Wednesday
Gage (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.
Head coach Arthur Smith told Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com earlier Wednesday that Gage will be quite limited this week due to the ankle injury he suffered Week 2 in Tampa Bay, but "there's always a chance" the wide receiver demonstrates enough progress to play Sunday against the Giants in New York. Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network termed Gage week-to-week due to the injury, with Friday appearing to be the day that he'll test out his ankle. If Gage requires an absence Week 3, he'll cede reps at wide receiver to Olamide Zaccheaus, Tajae Sharpe and Christian Blake next to the team's No. 1 target, Calvin Ridley.

Marquise Brown WR | PHI
Ravens' Marquise Brown: Limited in practice again
Brown (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Brown was listed with the same injury last week before catching six of 10 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown in Baltimore's 36-35 win over the Chiefs. He now leads the team in every major receiving category, including targets (16), despite playing a few less snaps (71 percent) than fellow wideout Sammy Watkins (88 percent). The Ravens rarely call a pass play without Brown on the field, and he's accounted for five of Lamar Jackson's eight completions on deep and intermediate throws.

A.J. Brown WR | NE
Titans' A.J. Brown: Limited in Wednesday's practice
Brown (knees) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Brown was a limited participant last week before upgrading to full activity Thursday and Friday. Even if he doesn't follow the exact same routine this week, he should be fine for Sunday's matchup with the Colts. The 24-year-old wideout has caught only seven passes for 92 yards and a touchdown through two games, but he's more or less seeing his normal workload in terms of snap share (83 percent) and target share (22.7 percent share).
-
Parris Campbell WR | DAL
Colts' Parris Campbell: Limited to start week
Campbell (abdomen) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Campbell was the team's No. 3 receiver Week 1 before sitting out the Week 2 loss to the Rams with an abdominal injury. He could make it back this weekend for a favorable matchup against the struggling Tennessee defense, but potentially with Jacob Eason or Brett Hundley starting at quarterback for the Colts rather than Carson Wentz (ankles).
-
Zach Pascal WR | NYG
Colts' Zach Pascal: Misses practice with illness
Pascal missed Wednesday's practice due to an illness.
The good news is that Pascal wasn't placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Assuming that doesn't change, he'll have a good chance to suit up in Sunday's game against the Titans, looking to build on a strong start to the season (three touchdowns on 11 targets in two games). Pascal may have to catch passes from backup quarterback Jacob Eason instead of banged-up starter Carson Wentz (ankles), who missed practice Wednesday and looks questionable -- at best -- for Week 3.
-
Diontae Johnson WR | CLE
Steelers' Diontae Johnson: Not practicing
Johnson (knee) didn't practice Wednesday.
After Johnson was injured on the final play of last week's loss to the Raiders, head coach Mike Tomlin said Tuesday that the wideout is "looking better, not to be confused with great," per Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. Johnson's status thus appears shaky for Sunday's game against the Bengals, with Thursday and Friday representing his remaining two chances to return to the practice field. James Washington should step up as the No. 3 receiver if Johnson is ruled out this week, with the Steelers potentially using more multi-tight end looks as well.
-
Jakeem Grant WR | ATL
Dolphins' Jakeem Grant: Limited to start week
Grant (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Grant is looking iffy for Week 3 due to an ankle sprain, but it's at least encouraging to see that he's able to handle limited practice reps. With quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Raiders, the Dolphins will need all the help they can get at the skill positions.

D'Wayne Eskridge WR | MIA
Seahawks' Dee Eskridge: No practice Wednesday
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Eskridge (concussion) won't practice Wednesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Carroll provided a glimmer of hope for Eskridge on Monday, telling Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic that the rookie wide receiver could put himself into a position to return Sunday against the Vikings, depending on how he fares in practice. But with Wednesday's absence, Eskridge hasn't practiced since sustaining a concussion in the season opener. He'll have two more chances this week to get back on the field before the Seahawks decide whether he'll take a designation into the weekend.
