  • Tre'Quan Smith WR | DET

Saints' Tre'Quan Smith: Practice window opens

Smith (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Thus, a 21-day window opens for Smith to prove he's healthy and get back on the active roster, or else stay on IR for the rest of the season. The Saints could use reinforcements at wide receiver, as Marquez Callaway leads the position group with 13 catches through five games. Smith is ahead of Michael Thomas (ankle) in his recovery, so he has a good chance to be New Orleans' No. 1 WR for a spell once he's cleared to play.

  • Dante Pettis WR | SF

Giants' Dante Pettis: Promoted to active roster

Pettis was signed to the Giants' active roster from the practice squad Tuesday, Michael Elsen of the team's official site reports.

The 25-year-old was a gameday elevation from the practice squad for Sunday's loss to the Rams, but he'll now join the active roster in a longer-term capacity after C.J. Board suffered a broken arm. Pettis caught five of 11 targets for 48 yards during his season debut and could continue seeing a similar role until one or more of Kenny Golladay (knee), Kadarius Toney (ankle) or Darius Slayton (hamstring) are able to return.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Giants' Kadarius Toney: Unlikely to play Sunday

Toney (ankle) is trending in the wrong direction to play Sunday against the Panthers, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.

Toney only lasted six offensive snaps this past Sunday versus the Rams before aggravating the ankle issue that bugged him during Week 6 prep. He's now expected to miss time, but not enough to require an IR stint. If that's the case, Toney might only sit out Week 7 before getting the benefit of a Week 8 bye, meaning he could complete his recovery by the time the Giants travel to face the Chiefs on Monday, Nov. 1.

  • Browns' Odell Beckham: Still not practicing

Beckham (shoulder) didn't practice Tuesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

For a second straight day, Beckham had DNP next to his name, only this time around the Browns actually practiced. He'll have one more opportunity to mix in before the team likely gives him some sort of designation for Thursday's game against the Broncos. Meanwhile, Jarvis Landry is closing in on the end of his recovery from an MCL sprain, so the Browns may or may not have both of their top two wide receivers in the fold for Week 7. At the moment Donovan Peoples-Jones, Rashard Higgins and Anthony Schwartz are the only healthy WRs on the active roster.

  • Colts' Parris Campbell: Hits IR

Campbell (foot) has been placed on injured reserve, Doug Kyed of Pro Football Focus reports.

Campbell can't seem to stay healthy, playing just a combined nine games between 2019 and 2020 and finding himself on injured reserve yet again in 2021. Even when he was healthy, Campbell managed to rack up just 10 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown on 17 targets through five games this season. With him out of commission, T.Y. Hilton (quad) figures to handle as many reps as he can moving forward along with Michael Pittman and Zach Pascal.

  • James Proche WR | ARI

Ravens' James Proche: Held without a catch Sunday

Proche was held without a catch on one target Sunday against the Chargers.

Proche's playing time fell off a cliff Sunday, playing five offensive snaps after seeing 47 such snaps in Week 5 against the Colts. Marquise Brown, Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay saw the most snaps among Baltimore receivers. It appears Bateman's injection into the lineup could significantly impact Proche's playing time going forward.

  • Miles Boykin WR | CHI

Ravens' Miles Boykin: Makes first catch of 2021

Boykin caught his lone target for six yards Sunday against the Chargers.

This was Boykin's second game since returning from injury, and though he was more involved on offense than he was in his debut, he was hardly impactful. He played just four snaps and was targeted once. Baltimore got deeper at receiver this past week with Rashod Bateman's debut, so playing time may continue to be hard to come by for Boykin.

  • Devin Duvernay WR | ARI

Ravens' Devin Duvernay: Two catches against Chargers

Duvernay caught two of three targets for 15 yards and added an 11-yard rush against the Chargers.

Duvernay played 87 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 5 and saw his playing time dwindle to 50 percent Sunday, which is in line with his season average and makes the Indianapolis game look like an outlier. He is up to 12 catches for 119 yards and a score on 19 targets this season, and now that Rashod Bateman is healthy, Duvernay may have a difficult time playing more than 50 percent of the snaps on a given week.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Ravens' Marquise Brown: Cools off Sunday

Brown caught four of five targets for 35 yards against the Chargers.

Baltimore's passing game was held in check to the tune of 167 yards Sunday. Brown's target volume tied a season-low with five, though he caught nearly everything thrown his way at an efficient clip. The Ravens face the Bengals at home in a big AFC North showdown Sunday.

  • Byron Pringle WR | WAS

Chiefs' Byron Pringle: Tallies season-high three grabs

Pringle reeled in all three of his targets for 55 yards during Sunday's game versus Washington.

Pringle has drawn three or more targets just one other time this season and has finished with more than 25 receiving yards just twice all season. He did see a season-high 40 percent of the offensive snaps this week but can't be counted on to put up consistent numbers going forward.
