  • Cowboys' Cedrick Wilson: Does little on five targets

Wilson caught two of five targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Broncos.

The Cowboys offense was stuck in neutral most of the day, with Wilson's performance an accurate reflection of the effectiveness of the team's passing game as a whole. The 25-year-old's window for fantasy value may have closed with a whimper if Michael Gallup (calf) is able to return to action and reclaim the No. 3 wideout spot Week 10 against the Falcons.

  • Malik Turner WR | SF

Cowboys' Malik Turner: Scores twice in garbage time

Turner caught five of seven targets for 33 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 30-16 loss to the Broncos.

The catches were the first of the season for Turner, who did all his damage inside the final five minutes of the game with the Cowboys down 30-0. The garbage-time usage was impressive, but the 25-year-old probably will need multiple injuries ahead of him on the wide receiver depth chart to have any kind of role in the offense Week 10 against the Falcons.

  • Packers' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Two receptions in return

Valdes-Scantling was targeted twice and caught two passes for 19 yards in Sunday's 13-7 loss to the Chiefs.

After missing five games with a hamstring injury, Valdes-Scantling returned to action Week 9. He was on the field for over half of the 63 plays run by the Packers offense, but his opportunities to contribute were minimal. Valdes-Scantling averaged 5.3 targets in the three games he played prior to his absence, and he -- like all Packers pass catchers -- should benefit when starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers (illness) is back in the fold. However, fantasy players will want to see more from Valdes-Scantling before adding him to lineups, as he has finished with 19 or fewer yards three times in his four appearances this season.

  • Gabe Davis WR | BUF

Bills' Gabriel Davis: Shut out in terrible team loss

Davis failed to haul in either of his two targets in Sunday's 9-6 loss to Jacksonville.

Davis couldn't follow up his modestly decent 4-29-1 line in the Week 8 win over Miami, and this was the third doughnut the second-year wideout has put up this season. With tight end Dawson Knox seemingly on the mend, Davis' opportunities for increased targets won't be getting much better any time soon. Davis is a good young receiver but living in a crowded house, so his only iota of value lies in the occasional touchdown dart or if you can afford to keep a reserve spot with the thought that Stefon Diggs, Emmanuel Sanders or Cole Beasley eventually could hit the shelf.

  • Van Jefferson WR | WAS

Rams' Van Jefferson: Another ho-hum showing

Jefferson caught three of seven targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Titans.

The sophomore has now caught at least three passes in each of the past four games for a total of 13 receptions, 191 yards and a touchdown. Jefferson also played 75 of 78 offensive snaps Sunday. Still, he's not returning exciting numbers in the majority of fantasy formats, and it appears it will take an injury to either Cooper Kupp or Robert Woods for Jefferson to provide reliable results. As it stands, he's likely to continue being an inconsistent weekly contributor and a tough start in most settings.

  • Willie Snead WR | MIA

Panthers' Willie Snead: Makes one catch

Snead caught one of two targets for six yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Patriots.

Snead was promoted from Carolina's practice squad to make his team debut, working as the fourth receiver behind DJ Moore, Robby Anderson and Terrace Marshall. Although he made a minimal impact, having a roster spot at least puts Snead on the fantasy radar following his release from the Raiders last month.

  • Panthers' Terrace Marshall: No grabs in return

Marshall didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 24-6 loss to the Patriots.

Marshall returned after missing the prior two games due to a concussion, but the wideout failed to make an impact amid continued struggles from quarterback Sam Darnold. On the bright side, Marshall trailed only starters DJ Moore and Robby Anderson in snaps among Carolina's receivers as he immediately reclaimed the No. 3 wideout role.

  • Chris Conley WR | SF

Texans' Chris Conley: Hauls in two in loss

Conley caught two of three targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Dolphins.

Conley was one of nine receivers targeted in the first game back for quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Since a big game against New England in Week 5, when he caught three passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, the seventh-year wideout has only four catches for 72 yards over the last four games.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Breaks out in Week 9 loss

Aiyuk caught six of eight targets for 89 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Cardinals.

It was by far the best performance of the year for Aiyuk, as he set season highs in catches, yards and targets while scoring his second TD of 2021 on an 11-yard strike from Jimmy Garoppolo in the third quarter. It's been a tough first half for Aiyuk, who has had trouble getting out of Kyle Shanahan's doghouse and reclaiming a prime spot in the offense, but he'll take some well-earned momentum into a Week 10 clash with the Rams.

  • Deebo Samuel WR | SF

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Takes back seat in loss to Cards

Samuel caught five of nine targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Cardinals.

While the third-year receiver led the 49ers in targets, Samuel saw both Brandon Aiyuk and the returning George Kittle surpass him in receptions and yards on the afternoon, with each of the pair also finding the end zone. Samuel still hasn't seen fewer than eight targets in a game all season, and Sunday was only the second time in eight contests he didn't either score a TD or reach 100 scrimmage yards. He'll look to get back on track in Week 10 against the Rams.
