  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: One catch Thursday

Palmer caught his lone target for 15 yards in Thursday's 34-28 loss to the Chiefs.

The return of Keenan Allen from COVID-19 protocols predictably moved Palmer back to an afterthought as the rookie wideout saw just 41 percent of Thursday's offensive snaps. The 22-year-old has at least seen his offensive role grow throughout the season, playing at least 20 offensive snaps for the fifth consecutive game after going over that threshold just once through Week 10, but the incremental rise in playing time hasn't done much for his fantasy value. Don't expect things to change much in Week 16 even against the Texans.

  • Jalen Guyton WR | LV

Chargers' Jalen Guyton: Tallies another score

Guyton snared both of his targets for 10 yards and a touchdown in the 34-28 loss to the Chiefs on Thursday.

With both Mike Williams (heel) and Keenan Allen (COVID-19) back and healthy, Guyton's role predictably reverted back to his rest-of-season figures, but the speedy target did manage to snag his third consecutive touchdown thanks to a short red-zone pass. It's hard to imagine Guyton, who had back-to-back games with at least 87 yards and a touchdown prior to Thursday, will emerge as a key piece in Los Angeles' passing attack, but it's clear Justin Herbert has developed a bit of budding confidence in the second-year wideout which should help the offense as a whole.

  • Mike Williams WR | LAC

Chargers' Mike Williams: Inefficient with targets

Williams (heel) caught just three of his nine targets for 49 yards in the 34-28 loss to the Chiefs on Thursday.

Williams briefly left the game in the first quarter after appearing to injure his shoulder on a dropped touchdown pass, but the big-bodied target returned shortly after and looked no worse for the wear. After a scintillating start to the season, the 2017 first-round pick has cratered back down to earth with just one touchdown over the last eight games. That could change with a relatively easy matchup against the Texans on tap for Week 16, a game in which the Chargers need to win in order to stay in the hunt for a possible wild-card berth.

  • Keenan Allen WR | IND

Chargers' Keenan Allen: Scores in defeat

Allen tallied six catches on 10 targets for 78 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's 34-28 loss to the Chiefs.

Allen's 29-yard reception accounted for the Chargers' longest play of the evening, but it was the slightly overthrown deep pass with 33 seconds left in the game that will go down as the biggest missed opportunity for both Los Angeles and fantasy managers. After failing to score a touchdown from Weeks 9-12, the veteran wideout now has three over the last two games, with a missed contest due to COVID-19 sandwiched in between.

  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Chiefs' Tyreek Hill: Season-best catch total in win

Hill secured 12 of 13 targets for 148 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' 34-28 overtime win over the Chargers on Thursday night.

Hill's catch total paced the Chiefs on the night and also served as a season-best figure for the explosive speedster. The reception that broke his previous high of 11 catches this season was a 14-yard grab on the game-winning drive in overtime that he made after spending some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter and early in the extra period getting stretched out for what appeared to be lower-leg cramps. Hill's explosive outing included his first 100-yard effort since Week 4 and only his third of the season, a performance he'll aim to build on against an inconsistent Steelers secondary during a Week 16 home clash a week from Sunday.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Jets' Elijah Moore: Moves to COVID-19 list

The Jets shifted Moore (quadriceps) from injured reserve to the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.

Moore found himself on IR before the Jets' Week 14 matchup with the Saints and was slated to require the minimum amount of time away from the active roster. But he'll now be away from team facilities until he clears league protocols. Once he does, the Jets will move Moore back to injured reserve with the aim for him to return for a Week 17 game against the Buccaneers.

  • Lions' Amon-Ra St. Brown: Becoming security blanket

St. Brown is becoming a security-blanket receiver for QB Jared Goff, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. "That's the role that as a slot guy and what he can do, he'd like to grow into and we're getting there and I'd like him to grow into that too because it's a nice thing for a quarterback to have," Goff said Wednesday.

Goff needs someone to throw to with T.J. Hockenson (finger) set to join Quintez Cephus (collarbone) on IR, D'Andre Swift (shoulder) yet to return to practice, and Jamaal Williams on the reserve/COVID-19 list. Amid a slew of missed games between the above players in recent weeks, St. Brown drew 12 targets a piece in each of the past two games en route to 18 total receptions for 159 yards and one touchdown. Josh Reynolds (thigh) and Kalif Raymond will probably get the majority of the deep shots down the field, but St. Brown is one of the last men standing in the Lions' receiving corps and his role in the slot could continue to load to nice PPR numbers down the stretch.

  • Seahawks' Dee Eskridge: Doesn't practice Thursday

Eskridge (foot) was a non-participant at practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

All of DK Metcalf (foot/back), Freddie Swain (ankle/personal) and Eskridge haven't stepped on the field during Week 15 prep, while Seattle placed Tyler Lockett (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday. Friday's injury report may reveal who potentially may be available for Sunday's game at the Chargers, but for the time being Penny Hart is the only healthy wide receiver on the Seahawks' active roster.

  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Sits out another session

Metcalf (foot/back) was held out of Thursday's practice, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Metcalf has logged more time away from the practice field in recent weeks, primarily due to a nagging foot injury, but a back issue showed up this time around. The pair of health concerns has kept him sidelined, so Friday's injury report will be notable for his status heading into the weekend. With Tyler Lockett's (undisclosed) placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday and reserves Freddy Swain (ankle/personal) and Dee Eskridge (foot) also missing from practice, the Seahawks' receiving corps is in flux during Week 15 prep.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Tests positive, could play Sunday

Lockett's placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday was the result of a positive test, but he could still clear the necessary protocols in time to play Sunday against the Rams, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Along with Lockett, the Seahawks placed running back Alex Collins on the list Thursday after he too tested positive, but since both players are vaccinated, they'll have a shot at being available this weekend. Per Dan Graziano of ESPN.com, the NFL and NFLPA reached agreement Thursday on changes to the return-to-play COVID-19 protocol, which will allow players who are vaccinated and asymptomatic to rejoin their teams as soon as 24 hours after an initial positive test. The Seahawks haven't yet disclosed whether Lockett was experiencing symptoms of the virus before landing on the list, but even if he isn't, the wideout may have some reservations about returning to action so soon after his positive test; Henderson notes Lockett was previously hesitant to play in 2020 during the pandemic due to a pre-existing heart abnormality.
