  • Jauan Jennings WR | MIN

49ers' Jauan Jennings: Takes seat in Week 8

Jennings (hamstring) is listed as inactive for Sunday's game at the Rams, Lindsey Pallares of the 49ers' official site reports.

Jennings managed one limited session in practice during Week 8 prep, but it wasn't enough to play through his hamstring issue. The 49ers also are without top wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring) on Sunday, so Brandon Aiyuk will be joined in the lineup by some combination of Ray-Ray McCloud, Danny Gray, Willie Snead and Tay Martin at the position. Jennings will use a Week 9 bye to heal up for the team's next game Sunday, Nov. 13 against the Chargers.

  • Penny Hart WR | ATL

Seahawks' Penny Hart: Won't play Sunday

Hart (hamstring) was ruled inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants.

Hart was deemed doubtful heading into this contest with a lingering hamstring injury, which will sideline him for the third game in a row Sunday. The 5-foot-8 receiver caught just one pass for 15 yards on nine offensive snaps over the first five weeks of the season.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Playing Sunday

Lockett (hamstring/ribs) is active for Sunday's game versus the Giants.

For a second week in a row, Lockett will play through health concerns, one of which cropped up during Thursday's practice. Coach Pete Carroll called it "an oblique kind of something" Friday, per John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site, which made Lockett a game-time decision for Week 8. Lockett and DK Metcalf (knee) were treated the same way Sunday, and both wide receivers are available against New York's 15th-ranked pass defense (211 yards per game).

  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Suiting up in Week 8

Metcalf (knee) is listed as active Sunday versus the Giants.

There was a belief Metcalf would miss some time after getting carted off the field last Sunday at the Chargers. However, X-rays were returned negative and surgery was ruled out on his knee, he proceeded to log one limited practice Friday, and a game-time decision turned into active status for the fourth-year pro. The Seahawks thus will operate with usual starting wide receivers Metcalf and Tyler Lockett (hamstring) -- the latter of whom also was questionable for Week 8 -- against New York's 15th-ranked pass defense (211 yards per game).

  • DeVante Parker WR | PHI

Patriots' DeVante Parker: Downgraded to out

Parker (knee) has been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Parker suffered a knee injury on the Patriots' first offensive play and was quickly deemed questionable to return. The veteran receiver was ruled out during halftime and won't return to Sunday's contest. In Parker's absence, Jakobi Meyers, Tyquan Thornton, Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne will operate as Mac Jones' top wideouts.

  • Texans' Brandin Cooks: Active as expected Week 8

Cooks (wrist) is active for Sunday's Week 8 clash against the Titans.

Despite a late-week wrist injury and trade rumors swirling around him, Cooks will at least garner active status for Sunday's game. However, there may be a bit of a risk of abbreviated snaps if the team is close to dealing him as Tuesday's trade deadline approaches, even with Nico Collins (groin) sidelined.

  • Jaguars' Christian Kirk: Held to 40 yards

Kirk recorded three receptions on seven targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 21-17 loss to the Broncos.

Kirk led the Jaguars in targets but was held in check by the elite Broncos secondary. He still managed a couple big plays, highlighted by a 25-yard catch midway through the fourth quarter that was the key play on a touchdown drive. After a hot start to the season, Kirk now has 40 or fewer receiving yards in three of his last four games.

  • Jerry Jeudy WR | CLE

Broncos' Jerry Jeudy: Tallies third touchdown

Jeudy recorded six receptions on seven targets for 63 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Jaguars.

Even with Russell Wilson back under center, Jeudy out-performed Courtland Sutton by a significant margin. Jeudy was used primarily in the short areas of the field, though he did manage a reception of 25 yards and a six-yard touchdown -- his third of the season. He has now topped 50 receiving yards in five consecutive games and has emerged as a reliable producer.

  • DeVante Parker WR | PHI

Patriots' DeVante Parker: Injures knee Sunday

Parker sustained a knee injury during Sunday's game at the Jets.

Parker was targeted by Mac Jones on the Patriots' first play from scrimmage and came up limping on the incompletion, going to the medical tent before the team deemed him questionable to return. If Parker indeed is done for Week 8, New England's receiving corps will be composed of Jakobi Meyers, Tyquan Thornton, Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne, among others.

  • Jalen Tolbert WR | MIA

Cowboys' Jalen Tolbert: Likely No. 3 wideout Week 8

Tolbert could serve as the Cowboys' No. 3 receiver in Sunday's game against the Bears with Noah Brown (foot) inactive for the contest, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.

Heading into training camp, Tolbert looked like a leading candidate to open the season as the Cowboys' No. 2 wideout behind CeeDee Lamb, but a poor preseason resulted in him being a healthy scratch Week 1. Tolbert's outlook hasn't changed much for the better since that time, as he was inactive in four of the Cowboys' first seven games and fell further down the pecking order at receiver when Michael Gallup returned from a torn ACL in Week 4. Lamb and Gallup are both suiting up Sunday, but the absence of Brown creates an opportunity for Tolbert to see meaningful playing time on offense for the first time since Week 3, when he logged 23 snaps. With Brown out and James Washington (foot) on injured reserve, the Cowboys aren't left with much depth at the position beyond Tolbert, as the lone other active wideout Sunday is 5-foot-9, 153-pound return man KaVontae Turpin, who profiles as more of a gadget player on offense than a true receiver.
