  • DeVonta Smith WR | PHI

Eagles' DeVonta Smith: Complementary role against Steelers

Smith recorded five receptions on eight targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 35-13 win over the Steelers.

Smith was heavily involved in the offense, as his eight targets were good for second on the team. However, he was used almost exclusively in short areas of the field -- in direct contrast to teammate A.J. Brown. Smith's production remains inconsistent, as he has at least 80 receiving yards in three of seven games this season, but he has only 84 yards combined across the remaining four contests.

  • Robert Woods WR | PIT

Titans' Robert Woods: Quiet in Sunday's win

Woods caught both his targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over the Texans.

While his numbers weren't good, Woods actually led Tennessee in receiving on the day as rookie quarterback Malik Willis completed only six passes in his first NFL start. The veteran wideout hasn't reached 40 yards in any of the last four games, but Woods could have an opportunity for a lot more production in Week 9 if Ryan Tannehill (ankle) is back under center and has to try and keep pace with the high-octane Kansas City offense.

  • Allen Robinson WR | DET

Rams' Allen Robinson: Gains 54 yards in loss

Robinson caught five of seven targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 31-14 loss to San Francisco.

Robinson was coming off of his best game of the season last week (5/63/1), and while he couldn't replicate the touchdown, the veteran wideout finally produced usable fantasy lines in consecutive games. Cooper Kupp (ankle) went down with an ankle injury late in the contest, so Robinson could see his role increase significantly if his star teammate is forced to miss any time. Make sure a disgruntled manager didn't drop Robinson after a slow start, as he could be in line for heavy targets if Kupp is unable to suit up against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

  • Richie James WR | KC

Giants' Richie James: Sustains concussion in loss

James sustained a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.

James struggled to begin Sunday's matchup, as he lost two fumbles on punt returns prior to exiting the game. While he'll have several steps to clear as part of the league's concussion protocol, he'll have an additional week to recover since the Giants have a Week 9 bye.

  • 49ers' Brandon Aiyuk: Leads team in receiving

Aiyuk corralled all six of his targets for 81 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Rams.

San Francisco was without top wideout Deebo Samuel (hamstring), so Aiyuk took over WR1 duties and produced as such. The 24-year-old has been on fire of late, averaging seven receptions and 82.0 yards with three touchdowns over his last three contests. The former first-round pick is also on pace to set new career highs across the board with a healthy 38/483/4 line through eight games heading into the upcoming bye week. Aiyuk and the 49ers will resume action against the Chargers in Week 10.

  • Packers' Christian Watson: Concussed in Buffalo

Watson (concussion) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Bills.

After returning from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, Watson promptly picked up a new injury and exited in the first quarter. He went to the locker room for testing prior to being ruled out and will have to clear the NFL's concussion protocol to play in Week 9 against the Lions. Watson caught his only target for 12 yards prior to leaving the game.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Earns nine targets

Pittman recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders.

Even with Sam Ehlinger under center, Pittman commanded nine targets, with the next closest Colt seeing only five. However, he still lacked big-play ability, as his longest catch of the day went for 16 yards, and only one of his six other receptions went for double-digit yards. Pittman should continue to see plenty of volume, but he now has fewer than 60 yards in four of his last five games.

  • Cooper Kupp WR | SEA

Rams' Cooper Kupp: Suffers ankle injury late

Kupp suffered an ankle injury late in Sunday's 31-14 loss to San Francisco and will undergo further testing in the coming days, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Kupp put together a strong game (8/79/1) before rolling his ankle on his final touch in garbage time of a losing effort. Head coach Sean McVay couldn't shed light on the actual injury, but he stated that he was "kicking himself" for putting his star receiver on the field down three scores with less than two minutes remaining. Kupp said after the game that he felt he "dodged a bullet" in regards to the severity of the injury, but we will have to wait for reports from the Rams' medical staff in the coming days. The 29-year-old's fantasy managers will be holding their collective breaths for further updates heading into a matchup against the Buccaneers next Sunday.

  • Terry McLaurin WR | WAS

Commanders' Terry McLaurin: Tops 100 yards

McLaurin recorded six receptions on eight targets for 113 yards in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Colts.

McLaurin was Taylor Heinicke's favorite target all afternoon, and he nearly doubled the yardage total of any other receiver for the Commanders. He also accounted for both of the team's longest plays from scrimmage with receptions of 42 and 33 yards, helping him surpass the century mark for only the second time on the campaign. In the two games since Heinicke has taken over the starting quarterback job, McLaurin has combined to post 11 receptions for 186 receiving yards and one touchdown.

  • Bears' Velus Jones: Productive as rusher

Jones caught one pass for five yards and rushed twice for 33 yards In the Bears' 49-29 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Jones had at least 15 yards on each of his rushing attempts, but he just missed out on a big play when Justin Fields slightly overthrew him on a deep pass after the receiver ran past a pair of defenders. With this being his most productive game of the season, the rookie will need to post more consistent production before being a player who can be relied upon in fantasy lineups.
