Ronnie Bell WR | NO
49ers' Ronnie Bell: Injuries improve roster bid
Bell could start the season as high as fourth on the wide receiver depth chart after multiple San Francisco wideouts suffered injuries this preseason.
Ray-Ray McCloud -- San Francisco's fourth receiver and return specialist -- will miss the first two months of the regular season after injuring his wrist in the 49ers' second preseason game. Danny Gray (shoulder) and Chris Conley (shoulder) popped up on the injury report after the team's final preseason tilt, leaving Bell as the healthiest option to potentially fill in for McCloud this year. The seventh-round pick ripped off a couple of big gains in exhibition play, but he also fumbled twice (one lost) in limited action. Bell may be forced into a bigger role than expected, but he won't see much action on offense with Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and Jauan Jennings all ready for Week 1.

Mike Evans WR | SF
Buccaneers' Mike Evans: Dealing with groin injury
Head coach Todd Bowles said Sunday that Evans has been dealing with a groin injury, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reported that Evans was in line to see his first game action with Baker Mayfield during Saturday's preseason finale against the Ravens, but the dynamic wideout ultimately never took the field. It appears that decision was out of an abundance of caution, as Bowles added Evans didn't need to play Saturday and would've been okay to suit up if it had been a regular season game. Either way, Evans' groin injury, whether minor or not, is a storyline worth following with just two weeks left before Tampa Bay opens the 2023 campaign in Minnesota.

Daewood Davis WR | CAR
Dolphins' Daewood Davis: Released from hospital
Davis (undisclosed) was released from the hospital Sunday morning and will travel home to Miami with team personnel.
After a scary collision late in the fourth quarter of Saturday's preseason finale, Davis had to be placed on a backboard and carted off the field. He was then transported to a local Jacksonville hospital, and shortly after that, the Dolphins released a statement saying Davis "is conscious and has movement in all extremities." The wideout appears to have avoided a catastrophic injury, but it's unclear when he'll be able to put a helmet on again.

Jalen Brooks WR | ARI
Cowboys' Jalen Brooks: One catch against Raiders
Brooks recorded one catch on two targets for 11 yards in Saturday's 31-16 preseason win over the Raiders.
Brooks saw both of his targets on Dallas' first drive and played eight of 11 snaps with the game's starters on the field. His quiet performance could actually mean good things for his chances to make the roster, as the Cowboys rested the top four receivers on their depth chart and Brooks exited early in the contest. Even if he makes the roster, he'll at best be the fifth wide receiver, so he isn't likely to make a significant offensive impact.

Marvin Mims WR | DEN
Broncos' Marvin Mims: Two catches in preseason finale
Mims brought in both targets for 51 yards and rushed once for three yards in the Broncos' 41-0 preseason win over the Rams on Saturday night. He also returned one punt for 19 yards.
Mims drew the start alongside Lil'Jordan Humphrey and provided a 50-yard grab on his second and final catch, a play that was originally deemed a 75-yard touchdown until replays showed the rookie was down by contact. Mims' strong finish to preseason is fitting considering he's set to open the season in perhaps an elevated role opposite Courtland Sutton due to Jerry Jeudy's hamstring injury.

Tre Tucker WR | LV
Raiders' Tre Tucker: Targeted twice
Tucker recorded one reception on two targets for 11 yards in Saturday's 31-16 preseason loss to the Cowboys.
The Raiders sat the majority of their receiving corps, which gave Tucker the chance to play early. He was targeted in both the short and long areas of the field, though ultimately he turned in a modest stat line. A third-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Tucker should make the Las Vegas roster as a depth pass catcher.

Christian Kirk WR | SF
Jaguars' Christian Kirk: One catch in preseason win
Kirk secured one of two targets for eight yards in the Jaguars' 31-18 preseason win over the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Kirk was out there with the starters over the first two possessions and was able to break the ice on the stat sheet. Kirk posted just a 3-20-0 line through two exhibitions, but after a career-best 84-catch, 1,180-yard, seven-touchdown tally in 2022, he's expected to once again play an integral role in the air attack in the coming campaign, albeit with an expected reduction in targets due to the arrival of Calvin Ridley.

Calvin Ridley WR | TEN
Jaguars' Calvin Ridley: Caps off preseason in style
Ridley brought in all three targets for 50 yards in the Jaguars' 31-18 preseason win over the Dolphins on Saturday night.
Ridley tied for the team lead in receptions while recording a pair of 11-yard grabs as well as a 28-yard catch that took the ball down to the Dolphins' three-yard line. The 28-year-old has impressed all summer after having missed nearly two full seasons due to a gambling-related suspension, and he appears poised to serve as an integral part of a deep Jaguars air attack beginning with an AFC South road matchup versus the Colts on Sunday, Sept. 10.

Jalen Reagor WR | MIA
Vikings' Jalen Reagor: Impressive close to preseason
Reagor recorded two receptions for 28 yards in Saturday's 18-17 preseason loss to the Cardinals.
Reagor played only one possession, but he showed immediate rapport with Jaren Hall. He tallied a pair of 14-yard receptions and made the case to hang onto the fifth receiver role for the Vikings heading into the regular season. Reagor should also be in line to handle punt return duties in Week 1 against the Buccaneers.

Tyreek Hill WR | MIA
Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Splash play on one catch
Hill brought in his only target for a 32-yard gain in the Dolphins' 31-18 preseason loss to the Jaguars on Saturday night.
Hill's reception came on the Dolphins' first play from scrimmage, with the speedster catching a pass over the middle and turning upfield for some extra yardage. Hill wasn't targeted again, but the cameo was all that was needed to corroborate his readiness for the regular season. The prolific wideout will now turn his attention to a Week 1 road matchup against the Chargers on Sunday, Sept. 10.
