  • Josh Downs WR | IND

Colts' Josh Downs: Sees uptick in role

Downs recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 22-19 overtime win over the Ravens.

Downs doubled his target total on the season with his performance Sunday, as he displayed rapport with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew. Volume was the most notable part of his performance, however, as his longest catch went for only 12 yards. Downs has made his mark in the short areas of the field in the first three games of his career, as he's tallied 15 receptions on 24 targets but totaled only 124 yards.

  • Seahawks' Tyler Lockett: Three grabs in Sunday's win

Lockett caught three of seven passes for 34 yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Panthers. He also caught a two-point conversion.

The 30-year-old wideout took a back seat to DK Metcalf in this one and couldn't repeat last week's two-TD performance, but Lockett was who Geno Smith looked for as he scrambled around on a two-point conversion attempt in the fourth quarter. Lockett hasn't produced much yardage yet in 2023, but that could change in Week 4 against a Giants secondary that just got torched for a 6-129-1 line by the 49ers' Deebo Samuel.

  • Rashee Rice WR | KC

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Narrowly misses TD

Rice caught five of seven targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 41-10 win over Chicago.

Rice appeared to have scored the second touchdown of his young career on a 14-yard reception early in the second quarter, but replay review overturned the score, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire punched it in on the ensuing play. It was still a strong performance from Rice, who finished second behind Travis Kelce in receptions, targets and yardage Sunday. Patrick Mahomes likes to spread the ball around to his auxiliary targets, so it's tough to predict this kind of workload every week. That said, Rice could develop into a household fantasy name if he continues to earn his star quarterback's trust. His next opportunity to do so will come in a primetime matchup against the Jets next Sunday.

  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Tops century mark in win

Metcalf caught six of eight targets for 112 yards in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Panthers.

The fifth-year wideout was Geno Smith's top option on the day, although undrafted rookie Jake Bobo caught the QB's only TD pass. Despite the fact that he nursed sore ribs in practice during the week, Metcalf topped 100 receiving yards in a game for the 10th time in his career in the regular season. He'll go for his 11th in Week 4 against a Giants defense that just surrendered a 6-129-1 line to the 49ers' Deebo Samuel.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: May be stepping into increased role

Palmer recorded four receptions on seven targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-24 win over the Vikings.

Palmer saw four targets in the first half, but his involvement was overshadowed by a lost fumble that set up a field goal for the Vikings. That changed with eight minutes left in the game when he caught a ball tipped off the hands of Vikings corner Akayleb Evans for a game-winning 30-yard touchdown catch. Earlier in the game, Mike Williams suffered a knee injury that could keep him sidelined for further game action, which would in turn shift Palmer up the depth chart along with rookie pass catcher Quentin Johnston.

  • DJ Chark WR | ATL

Panthers' DJ Chark: Breaks out in Week 3

Chark caught four of 11 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Seahawks.

After seeing only one target in his season debut last week, Chark was a key part of the offense with rookie Bryce Young (ankle) on the sidelines and veteran QB Andy Dalton under center instead. Chark did most of his damage on a 47-yard TD grab in the second quarter that briefly gave the Panthers the lead. Young could be back in Week 4, which would put a damper on the fantasy outlooks of the team's receiving options, but if Dalton is at the helm again, Chark would have a lot of appeal against a Vikings secondary that just got torched for 25 catches and 336 yards by the Chargers' WR duo of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams (knee).

  • Adam Thielen WR | PIT

Panthers' Adam Thielen: Huge numbers in Week 3 loss

Thielen caught 11 of 14 targets for 145 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Seahawks.

With veteran Andy Dalton at quarterback instead of rookie Bryce Young (ankle), Carolina's passing game erupted, and Thielen produced his highest single-game receiving yards total since Week 10 of the 2017 campaign, when he was in his prime with Minnesota. The 33-year-old wideout capped his performance with a 15-yard TD catch inside the final two minutes of the game as the Panthers tried to stage a late comeback. Thielen had already begun to establish some chemistry with Young, so his fantasy value might be less affected than some of his teammates by who's throwing him passes in Week 4, but his ceiling will be much higher if Dalton's under center again for a potential revenge game against the Vikings.

  • DJ Moore WR | BUF

Bears' DJ Moore: Scores TD in garbage time

Moore had three receptions on six targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-10 loss to Kansas City.

Moore cashed in his first touchdown with the Bears on the team's final offensive drive of an ugly loss Sunday. Garbage-time scores count all the same in fantasy, giving the wideout his second consecutive quality line after going for 104 yards last week. He did leave a chunk of yards on the table on a deep pass attempt from Justin Fields that was dropped by the normally sure-handed receiver. Moore will draw a tough matchup against shutdown corner Patrick Surtain when the Bears face the Broncos next Sunday.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Browns' Elijah Moore: Catches all nine targets

Moore recorded nine receptions on nine targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Titans.

The Browns seemed to prioritize getting Moore involved, as he was targeted three times on the opening drive and was also given a carry. He went on to do most of his damage in the first half, which largely had to do with game script, as the Browns attempted only 13 passes in the final two quarters. Moore now has 25 targets across three games, though that's resulted in only 128 yards.

  • Colts' Michael Pittman: Sees 11 more targets

Pittman recorded nine catches on 11 targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 22-19 overtime win over the Ravens.

Pittman led the team in receptions and yards while also drawing double-digit targets for the third consecutive game to begin the season. His stat line was modest given the volume, though he still accounted for long gains of 34 and 13 yards. As his stat lines have indicated to this point, Pittman doesn't have the highest upside, but he has a locked-in role in the Colts' offense and is particularly trustworthy in PPR-scoring formats.
