  • Tyreek Hill WR | MIA

Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Declares full health

Hill (thumb) said Monday that he's "100 percent" healthy, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Hill returned to practice Monday after having been limited since mid-August due to a hand/thumb injury. It always looked like the Dolphins were simply taking a cautious approach to Hill's recovery, but it's encouraging to see the star wideout remove any ambiguity from the situation ahead of Week 1. Hill is locked in as a top tier fantasy option for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars, while teammate Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed), who also resumed practicing Monday, also seems on track to suit up without issue.

  • David Bell WR | CLE

    Browns' David Bell: Still sidelined

Bell (quadriceps) did not practice Monday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Bell has been out of action since suffering the injury Aug. 10 against the Packers. The third-year pro was expected to return to practice this week, but for now, he'll be considered questionable for Cleveland's Week 1 matchup with the Cowboys on Sunday. Currently slotted in as the team's No. 5 wideout on the positional depth chart, his potential absence likely won't have much of an impact on the offense but would probably allow rookie Jamari Thrash to see a few snaps.

  • Jaylen Waddle WR | DEN

Dolphins' Jaylen Waddle: Practicing, has no setbacks

Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Waddle (undisclosed) and Tyreek Hill (thumb) will both practice and have had "no setbacks," Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

McDaniel seems to be indicating that Hill and Waddle, both of whom have been held out of practice recently due to minor injuries, remain on track to suit up for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Jaguars. Waddle practiced in a non-contact jersey last week, but it seems likely that his activity level will now be ramping up. If McDaniel doesn't offer more information on the health of Miami's star wide receivers earlier, Wednesday's official practice report will reveal more about the status of both Waddle and Hill.

    Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Practicing Monday

Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Hill (thumb) and Jaylen Waddle (undisclosed) will both practice and "had no setbacks," Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Hill and Waddle have both had their practice reps capped in recent weeks, but it doesn't seem like the Dolphins have had any real doubts about having the star WR duo available for Week 1. A right thumb injury has lingered for Hill since mid-August, so Miami may have simply been taking a cautious approach to his recovery, with catching ability in mind. At the latest, Wednesday's first official practice report of the season will reveal whether Hill and Waddle still carry injury designations as Sunday's opener against the Jaguars approaches.

  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Discharged from hospital Sunday

The 49ers announced that Pearsall (shoulder/chest) was released Sunday from San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

Pearsall was upgraded from "serious" to "fair" condition earlier Sunday, and he's now been given clearance to return home. The development is obviously great news for the rookie receiver after he was shot in the chest as the victim of an alleged robbery attempt Saturday.

  • Johnny Wilson WR | PHI

Eagles' Johnny Wilson: Back on practice field Sunday

Wilson (concussion) is suited up for practice Sunday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Wilson went into NFL concussion protocol in mid-August and had been held out of practices and preseason games since. His return to practice Sunday bodes well for his chance of being able to play in Philadelphia's Week 1 game against the Packers in Brazil on Friday, though Wilson's status should gain more clarity with the release of the team's initial injury report Tuesday.

  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Condition upgraded to fair

Pearsall (shoulder/chest) was upgraded to fair condition by San Francisco General Hospital on Sunday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Pearsall was shot in the chest as the target of an alleged attempted robbery in San Francisco on Saturday and was initially listed as being in serious condition. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Pearsall's mother posted on social media earlier Sunday that the bullet that hit the rookie receiver exited out his back and missed his vital organs. While these updates provide optimism about Pearsall's chances of making a full recovery, more should be known upon further evaluation by his medical team.

  • Marquise Brown WR | PHI

Chiefs' Marquise Brown: Missing another practice

Brown (shoulder) isn't practicing Sunday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.

Kansas City head coach Andy Reid indicated that Brown is the only Chiefs player who will miss Sunday's practice session. The wideout's absence further supports the expectation that he'll miss the team's regular-season opener against Baltimore on Thursday. With that said, Kansas City elected not to place Brown on injured reserve to open the campaign, so there appears to be optimism that he'll be back in action by Week 4.

  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Stable after being shot in chest

Pearsall (shoulder) was the victim of a shooting Saturday in San Francisco and is in stable condition, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports.

Per Cunningham, Pearsall was shot "through the chest in a robbery attempt over a Rolex" as the rookie was leaving a signing event and headed to San Francisco's Union Square. Cunningham added that both Pearsall and the suspect were shot following a struggle for control of the gun.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Pole position for top targets

Palmer is in position to be the team's leader in targets this season, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.

This statement by Popper underscores the relationship Palmer and Justin Herbert have, whereas the team's other top pass catchers are newcomers. Rookie second-round pick Ladd McConkey is most likely to challenge for a plethora of targets, but Palmer has been Herbert's fourth-most-targeted wideout in his young career -- a stat that matters significantly after the quarterback missed critical time in training camp due to a foot injury.
