  • Deebo Samuel WR | WAS

49ers' Deebo Samuel: Has illness, expected to play

Samuel is tending to an illness but is expected to play Sunday against the Chiefs, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Samuel operated with a cap on his reps this past week due to a wrist injury but ultimately was cleared to suit up for Week 7 action. With an ailment now in tow, there's a chance his snap share is below its norm of 70-plus percent, which could open up reps for Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall and Chris Conley, with Jauan Jennings (hip) sidelined.

  • Dolphins' Braxton Berrios: Won't return vs. Indy

Berrios (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Colts.

Berrios was injured during a kickoff return in the fourth quarter. He'll end the day with 26 kick-return yards and 18 punt-return yards. De'Von Achane and Malik Washington are candidates to handle return duties for the rest of Sunday's game.

  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Needs cart to go to locker room

Metcalf (knee) was carted to the locker room during Sunday's contest at Atlanta, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.

After the Seahawks deemed him questionable to return early in the fourth quarter, Metcalf was seen stretching out the knee in question before heading to the locker room on the cart. Without Metcalf's services, Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Tyler Lockett will headline the team's passing game, with Jake Bobo, Laviska Shenault and Dareke Young the other options at wide receiver.

  • DK Metcalf WR | PIT

Seahawks' DK Metcalf: Hurts knee Sunday

Metcalf sustained a knee injury during Sunday's game in Atlanta.

Prior to his exit early in the fourth quarter, Metcalf had hauled in four of seven targets for 99 yards, which was fueled by a 31-yard TD connection with QB Geno Smith. Looks will be up for grabs from Smith for the likes of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Tyler Lockett, Jake Bobo, Laviska Shenault and Dareke Young for as long as Metcalf is sidelined.

  • Chiefs' JuJu Smith-Schuster: Active versus 49ers

Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the 49ers.

Smith-Schuster was added to the Chiefs' Week 7 injury report after being limited by a hamstring issue Thursday, a level of participation that he maintained Friday before being listed as questionable heading into the weekend. Prior to his team's Week 6 bye, Smith-Schuster caught seven of his eight targets for 130 yards in a Monday night win over the Saints. Following that strong showing, the veteran wideout is back on the fantasy radar thanks to his role in a depleted Kansas City WR corps as well as his rapport with quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

  • 49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Making NFL debut

Pearsall (chest) is listed as active Sunday against the Chiefs.

Pearsall thus will make his long-awaited NFL debut after enduring a gunshot wound during an attempted robbery Aug. 31 that resulted in him spending the first six weeks of the campaign on the reserve/non-football injury list. With Jauan Jennings (hip) sidelined, Pearsall will have a chance to mix into the 49ers offense, but the team may prefer the veteran presence of Chris Conley as the No. 3 WR behind Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk for this high-profile matchup.

  • Curtis Samuel WR | BUF

Bills' Curtis Samuel: Won't return versus Tennessee

Samuel (shoulder) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Titans.

Samuel was injured early in the first quarter and has now been deemed unable to return. He failed to catch his lone target before the injury. The Bills will roll with Amari Cooper, Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman and Mack Hollins at receiver for the rest of Sunday's contest.

  • David Moore WR | CAR

Panthers' David Moore: Good to go

Moore (knee) is good to go for Sunday's matchup with the Commanders, Darin Gantt of the team's official website reports.

Moore was limited at practice throughout the week and was considered a true game-time decision. He has ultimately gotten the green light and figures to take on his usual role providing depth at receiver.

  • Rams' Jordan Whittington: Active in Week 7

Whittington (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game versus the Raiders, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.

Whittington came out of the Rams' last contest Week 5 with a shoulder injury, but he seemingly benefited from the team's ensuing bye, parlaying three limited practices into a questionable designation and eventual active status. Fellow WR Cooper Kupp made an effort to return from the left high-ankle sprain that has sidelined him since the first half of Week 2 but ultimately will log a fourth straight DNP. Whittington thus will have plenty of opportunities in L.A.'s passing game along with Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson and Tyler Johnson.

  • Panthers' Diontae Johnson: Active as expected Sunday

Johnson (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Commanders, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

The oft-injured veteran wideout was said to be trending toward active status in reports issued earlier in the weekend, and Johnson's availability is now confirmed. As such, Johnson will continue to operate as the top on-paper target for veteran signal-caller Andy Dalton, who's helped facilitate a 24-306-3 line on 43 targets for the talented pass catcher over his first four games as the starting quarterback.
