Swaim is expected to see more action over the final two games of the season due to Gavin Escobar's torn Achilles, DallasCowboys.com reports.

The seventh-round pick has seen just 16 snaps all season and none since Week 5, but Swaim will get a chance to prove he has a place in the Cowboys' 2016 plans. Don't expect him to see a lot of targets, however.

Jensen agreed to a contract with the Redskins on Tuesday.

Jensen was plucked off the Bills' practice squad and will take the roster spot of wide receiver Andre Roberts, who was placed on injured reserve. Jensen will be the fourth tight end on the Bills' roster, and he figures to play sparingly behind primary tight end Jordan Reed.

Quarless (knee) was activated from the IR/designated-to-return list Monday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.

Quarless is set to make his first appearance since suffering a sprained MCL in Week 3. During his absence, Richard Rodgers has taken control of the starting TE spot, but Quarless could make an immediate impact in the red zone, where he picked up 15 targets in 16 games last season.

Kelce hauled in six of seven targets for 73 yards in Sunday's win over the Ravens.

The big tight end led the Chiefs in yardage Sunday, but he failed to reach the end zone for the fifth time in the last six games. Kelce's season totals look rather pedestrian compared to the expectations he carried into the year, but the amount of attention he generally gets sees from Alex Smith amounts to potential for this type of production in any given matchup. He will look to break out versus the Browns next week.

Ertz caught eight passes for 78 yards and a touchdown on a game-high 13 targets in Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Cardinals.

Ertz was checked for a concussion after taking a big hit in the first half, but he was ultimately cleared and didn't miss much time. He also appeared to get a bit banged up in the fourth quarter, though no injury has been reported. Ertz and Jordan Matthews were the entire Philadelphia passing game, after Ertz and Nelson Agholor did the honors the previous week. Even though he's the Eagles' most consistent weapon, Ertz will likely be closer to his typical 6-to-8 targets in Week 16 against Washington.

Bell was targeted a career-high eight times in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. He hauled in four passes for 43 yards.

Bell was targeted more in the second half after Vance McDonald had two ugly drops that resulted in interceptions. He took advantage of the opportunity and finished with a 40-plus yard performance for the third time in the last four games. While it is unclear what coach Jim Tomsula will decide to do going forward, the logical choice would be to give the rookie tight end a long look in the team's final two games. Until that happens, neither tight end is a desirable option so long as both are sharing targets.

Kroft caught a career-high three passes for 31 yards and scored for the first time as a pro in Sunday's 24-14 win at San Francisco.

Kroft did a good job filling in for starter Tyler Eifert, who missed the game due to a concussion. If Eifert is forced to miss another game next week at Denver, Kroft would likely see a handful of targets from second-year QB AJ McCarron.

Escobar suffered a torn right Achilles in Saturday's loss to the Jets, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Escobar finishes the season with just eight catches for 64 yards and a touchdown. He was not targeted before suffering the injury in the fourth quarter.

The Dolphins signed Thomas off the practice squad and to the active roster Wednesday, reports the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

It looks like the Dolphins may have been worried that another team would poach Thomas from their practice squad so they signed him rather than risk losing him. Teams like Baltimore, Houston, and Dallas could all be in the market for a young QB to tutor. Thomas won't see any playing time with Miami but rather carry a clipboard behind Ryan Tannehill and Matt Moore.

Pettigrew (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

After Pettigrew sustained a torn ACL Sunday at St. Louis, the move is merely a bookkeeping measure by the Lions intended to open up a spot on the 53-man roster. The organization will use it to sign a tight end, Bear Pascoe, who is known for his blocking.
