  • Cooper Helfet: Wavied by Seahawks

The Seahawks waived/injured Helfet (foot) on Saturday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.

Helfet has been tending to a fractured foot in the early days of training camp, which has seemingly spurred the Seahawks to turn elsewhere for tight end depth. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to injured reserve.

  • Darion Griswold: Waived on Friday

Griswold was waived/injured on Friday, Tom James of the Tribune-Star reports.

Griswold hadn't practiced with the Colts at all in training camp, remaining on the PUP list for the duration of time he was with the team. If he clears waivers, Indianapolis will likely add him to their IR list.

  • E.J. Bibbs TE | WAS

Browns' E.J. Bibbs: Returns to practice

Bibbs (heat issue) practiced Friday after leaving Thursday's session early, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Bibbs absence was just a one day occurrence, as expected. Now that he's rested and rehydrated he should be fully healthy entering Friday's training camp session.

  • Jim Dray TE | ARI

Bills' Jim Dray: Injured during Friday's practice

Dray suffered an ankle injury during Friday's practice, BuffaloBills.com reports.

Dray is currently in a battle with Chris Gragg, Nick O'Leary, and Blake Annen for the No. 2 tight end job.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Close to returning from knee injury

Graham, who is still on the PUP list, is close to returning from his season-ending knee injury, the Seattle Times reports.

Coach Pete Carroll said Graham is close to being considered day-to-day. Graham is still expected to be ready for Week 1, but that is not a lock.

  • Tyler Kroft TE | MIA

    Bengals' Tyler Kroft: Sprained knee

Kroft will be out 4-to-6 weeks with a sprained knee, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Kraft is still expected to be back by Week 1, but that's a pretty loose time frame. Meanwhile, C.J. Uzomah and Ryan Hewitt will take over at tight end, with Tyler Eifert also out.

  • E.J. Bibbs TE | WAS

Browns' E.J. Bibbs: Leaves practice due to heat

Bibbs was forced to leave practice early due to the heat, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Bibbs struggles are likely just a one day occurrence, he should be able to return to practice on Friday. The second-year tight end is the team's number two option at the position and he'll be looking to improve on a measly one catch for seven yards during his rookie season.

  • Jimmy Graham TE | NO

Seahawks' Jimmy Graham: Still not practicing

Graham (knee) hasn't practiced in training camp as of Thursday, Sheil Kapadia of ESPN.com reports.

Graham was slated for a reevaluation during Wednesday's day off, but the state of his knee hasn't improved enough to allow him to take the practice field, even for individual drills. The end game is active status once the regular season kicks off, though, which will require that the patella tendon in his right knee can hold up to the wear and tear of game action.

  • Austin Hooper TE | ATL

Falcons' Austin Hooper: Feeling confident learning scheme

Hooper feels confident in his understanding of the offense despite missing three weeks of organized team activities while he finished classes at Stanford, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Hooper noted that it was quite the learning curve at the outset, but he finally feels that he's got a good grip on the offense, a sentiment echoed by head coach Dan Quinn, who said he doesn't feel like Hooper is behind. If he can prove his knowledge of the offense and shine in the preseason, Hooper could cement himself as the top tight end in Atlanta.

  • Tyler Kroft TE | MIA

Bengals' Tyler Kroft: Hyperextends knee Tuesday

Kroft hyperextended his knee during Tuesday's practice, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Kroft was filling Tyler Eifert's shoes due to the latter's continued recovery from ankle surgery. After suffering his own injury, though, Kroft could be sidelined for a spell in training camp. While a timetable won't be established until he undergoes an MRI on Wednesday morning, Ryan Hewitt is the next man up in the TE hierarchy in Cincinnati.
