  • Zach Gentry TE | LV

Steelers' Zach Gentry: Dealing with severe injury

Coach Mike Tomlin said Gentry suffered a "signficant" knee injury during Sunday's win over the Jaguars, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.

The specifics of the injury remain unclear, but a trip to injured reserve seems likely for the 24-year-old. At the very least, Gentry isn't expected to be available for Thursday's game against the Ravens. Vance McDonald (illness) remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and Eric Ebron is the only other tight end on the roster.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Lions' T.J. Hockenson: New season high in receiving yards

Hockenson caught four of seven targets for 68 yards during Sunday's 20-0 loss to the Panthers.

On a day the Detroit offense generally struggled without each of Kenny Golladay (hip), Danny Amendola (hip) and D'Andre Swift (concussion), Hockenson managed to set a new season high in receiving yardage. Now with at least a touchdown or 60 yards receiving in eight of 10 games this season, Hockenson has been a model of consistency at an otherwise weak fantasy position. While he's yet to display the upside he showed in the 2019 season opener when the then-rookie had 131 yards and a score against Arizona, Hockenson is set up for one of his best matchups of the season in Week 12 against a Texans defense allowing the sixth-most yards per pass attempt (7.8) in 2020.

  • Taysom Hill QB | NO

Saints' Taysom Hill: Effective in starting QB debut

Hill completed 18 of 23 pass attempts for 233 yards, adding 10 rushes for 51 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 24-9 win against the Falcons. He also lost one fumble.

With Drew Brees (ribs) potentially out through Week 15, coach Sean Payton elected not to turn to Jameis Winston and his 80 career starts against Atlanta. Instead, he entrusted the swiss-army knife talent Hill in his quarterback slot. In fantasy formats where Hill maintained tight end eligibility for Week 11, he proved to be an absolute gold mine. Even if entrusted in a QB slot, however, the BYU product still cashed in with his 284 total yards and two scores. His positional eligibility will be revisited after the Week 11 slate, but he offers tremendous upside with his rushing acumen heading into a Week 12 matchup against the Broncos.

  • Noah Togiai TE | PHI

    Colts' Noah Togiai: Unavailable Sunday

Togiai (knee) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers.

The 23-year-old received the questionable tag after sitting out Thursday and Friday's practices, and he won't be suiting up versus Green Bay. Togiai may have been inactive regardless of the injury with Trey Burton, Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox all available.

  • Irv Smith TE | HOU

Vikings' Irv Smith: Active in Week 11

Smith (groin) is active for Sunday's Week 11 tilt against the Cowboys.

The athletic tight end was trending in the right direction after a week of limited practices, and his active status after a one-week absence now is official. Smith notched touchdown grabs on each of his two receptions Week 9 against the Lions before missing the Week 10 win over the Bears. He'll look for similar success versus a vulnerable Cowboys defense that's surrendered 39-386-5 line to tight ends this season.

  • Noah Fant TE | NO

Broncos' Noah Fant: Active in Week 11

Fant (ribs) is active for Sunday's Week 11 tilt against the Dolphins.

The athletic tight end ran the gamut of practice participation during the week, finishing up with a full session Friday that supported the notion of active status Sunday. That's now official, meaning Fant once again will serve as the primary tight end option against a Dolphins defense that's surrendered a 36-343-4 line to the position this season.

  • Zach Gentry TE | LV

Steelers' Zach Gentry: Won't return Sunday

Gentry won't return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars due to a knee injury.

Gentry wasn't targeted during the first half before suffering the injury. Eric Ebron is the only available tight end for the Steelers for the remainder of Sunday's contest.

  • Chris Manhertz TE | NYG

Panthers' Chris Manhertz: Gearing up Sunday

Manhertz (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game versus the Lions, Bill Voth of the Panthers' official site reports.

Manhertz will avoid missing his first game since Week 5 of the 2019 season. The 28-year-old tight end has recorded five receptions for 41 yards through 10 games this year, as he mainly sticks to a special-teams role.

  • Irv Smith TE | HOU

Vikings' Irv Smith: Expected to play Sunday

Smith (groin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, is expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Confirmation on his availability will arrive upon the release of the Vikings' inactives in advance of Sunday's 4:25 ET kickoff. Prior to sitting out the team's Week 10 win over the Bears, Smith -- who was limited in practices Wednesday through Friday -- compiled 13 receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns through eight games.

  • Tanner Hudson TE | CIN

Buccaneers' Tanner Hudson: Out Week 11

Hudson (personal) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Rams, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Hudson has been spending time with his family after his father passed away, so he won't be with the team for Week 11. Antony Auclair will serve as the depth tight end behind Rob Gronkowski and Cameron Brate on Monday.
