Jonnu Smith TE | GB
Patriots' Jonnu Smith: Questionable for Week 2
Smith (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets after logging limited practices both Thursday and Friday.
The fact that Smith was able to practice Friday -- albeit in a limited fashion -- after being added to the injury report Thursday suggests that he has a decent chance to suit up for Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET contest. If he ends up limited or out this weekend, though, fellow tight end Hunter Henry would be in line for an increased profile in the Patriots' Week 2 passing attack.

Pharaoh Brown TE | IND
Texans' Pharaoh Brown: Officially questionable for Week 2
Brown (ankle/shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Brown delivered a major Week 1 impact with physical blocking in the running game in addition to 67 receiving yards, and he's trending towards suiting up in Week 2 with this upgrade to a limited practice after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday. If Brown plays, he'll likely continue to split tight end reps with Jordan Akins.

Josiah Deguara TE | NYG
Packers' Josiah Deguara: Misses Friday's practice
Deguara (concussion) missed practice Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Deguara was forced to leave the Packers' season opener early with a concussion. The tight end missed practice Thursday and just missed practice Friday, so his status for Monday's game is uncertain as of now. Expect Dominique Dafney to have a larger role against the Lions if Deguara can't play.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Clear for Week 2
Ertz (hamstring/rest) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Ertz progressed from non-participant Wednesday to limited Thursday before capping Week 2 prep with a full session. Along the way, he was listed with the hamstring injury he picked up in the season-opening win in Atlanta and also with the word "rest," indicating the Eagles were managing his reps. In any case, Ertz will be available to work in tandem with Dallas Goedert at tight end Sunday.

Pharaoh Brown TE | IND
Texans' Pharaoh Brown: Returns to practice
Brown (shoulder/ankle) was present for practice Friday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Wilson suggests that there didn't seem to be any serious concerns that the tight end might miss Sunday's game against Cleveland, and Brown's presence at practice Friday supports that notion. The Texans' final injury report of the week will reveal whether Brown heads into the weekend with any sort of injury designation.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: On track to play Sunday
Ertz (hamstring/rest) is in line to play Sunday against the 49ers, according to coach Nick Sirianni, Josh Tolentino of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Friday's final injury report will reveal both Ertz's level of participation in Friday's practice, as well as his official Week 2 injury designation. Assuming he's a go this weekend, Ertz will continue to work in tandem with Dallas Goedert, who drew the start at tight end for the Eagles in Week 1.

Zach Ertz TE | WAS
Eagles' Zach Ertz: Practicing again Friday
Ertz (hamstring/rest) is participating at Friday's practice, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Ertz sat out Wednesday's practice before returning in a limited fashion Thursday, and his level of participation for Friday's session remains unclear. The 30-year-old's status will receive additional clarity when the official injury report is released later in the day, but he may be able to avoid an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with the 49ers after practicing two straight days.

Ricky Seals-Jones TE | IND
Football Team's Ricky Seals-Jones: Catches TD on only target
Seals-Jones caught his lone target for a 19-yard touchdown in Thursday's 30-29 win over the Giants.
The college wideout turned NFL tight end has bounced around the league the past few years, playing for Arizona, Cleveland, Kansas City and now Washington. His struggles to earn regular snaps aren't likely to end on a team with Logan Thomas at tight end, but Seals-Jones did show that he can still make big plays, outleaping a defender for a surprise fourth-quarter TD on Thursday. There is some potential for fantasy value if Thomas were to miss time, though in such a scenario Seal-Jones might be forced into a committee rather than taking over the starter's three-down role.
-
Logan Thomas TE | SF
Football Team's Logan Thomas: Five-catch effort in win
Thomas brought in five of seven targets for 45 yards in Washington's 30-29 win over the Giants on Thursday night.
Thomas checked in third on the team in receptions, receiving yards and targets during the wild win, marking a second straight serviceable performance to open the season. Thomas had accounted for a touchdown on three catches in Washington's season-opening loss to the Chargers, and with a relatively inexperienced quarterback in Taylor Heinicke manning the controls of the offense for at least the next several games, the sure-handed tight end should continue to see his fair share of opportunities.

Josiah Deguara TE | NYG
Packers' Josiah Deguara: Doesn't practice Thursday
Deguara (concussion) didn't practice Thursday.
Deguara sustained a concussion in Sunday's season opener against the Saints and was unable to participate in the team's first practice of the week. His status for Monday's game against the Lions will likely come into focus based on whether he's able to return to practice this weekend.
