  • AJ Barner TE | SEA

Seahawks' AJ Barner: Scores in Sunday's win

Barner caught two of three targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Steelers.

The second-year tight end caught a seven-yard touchdown on the Seahawks' first drive of the second half. Barner continues to handle a massive workload, as he logged an 89 percent snap share in Week 2 compared to rookie tight end Elijah Arroyo's 39 percent mark. Still, that has translated to just six targets through two weeks for Barner. The Michigan product wasn't known for his pass-catching abilities in college, but he should continue to see high snap counts due to his run-blocking acumen.

  • Pat Freiermuth TE | PIT

Steelers' Pat Freiermuth: Another three catches

Freiermuth recorded three catches on four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Freiermuth continues to split pass-catching duties at tight end with Jonnu Smith, though the duo is being utilized in different ways. Freiermuth drew a pair of downfield targets in Sunday's loss, and he managed to convert one for a 20-yard gain, while Smith was targeted more close to the line of scrimmage. Freiermuth also had a chance to score his first touchdown of the season, though teammate Calvin Austin inadvertently broke up the pass, resulting in an interception.

  • Jonnu Smith TE | PIT

Steelers' Jonnu Smith: Splits targets with Freiermuth

Smith recorded four receptions on four targets for 27 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Seahawks.

Smith saw his role as a pass catcher even out with Pat Freiermuth, as both tight ends earned four targets. As was the case in Week 1, Smith was used on short and quick passes with the goal of picking up yards after the catch. Smith's longest gain of the day went for only nine yards, and he has just 42 total yards on nine catches for the campaign.

  • Tyler Higbee TE | LAR

Rams' Tyler Higbee: Four catches in Week 2

Higbee recorded four receptions on four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 33-19 win over the Titans.

Higbee didn't see a target in Week 1, but he finished third on the team in opportunities in Sunday's win. He was particularly involved early in the contest, as three of his four receptions came on the Rams' first three offensive possessions. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams will likely dominate targets in the offense, leading to a relatively unpredictable role for Higbee on a week-to-week basis.

  • Titans' Chig Okonkwo: Makes four catches in loss

Okonkwo recorded four receptions on six targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 33-19 loss to the Rams.

Okonkwo tied for the team lead with six targets, though he couldn't match Elic Ayomanor or Calvin Ridley in their ability to generate yards. Okonkwo was targeted in short areas of the field, though he did manage a long gain of 14 yards. He may start to lose playing time to Gunnar Helm as the season progresses, but Okonkwo has commanded a solid 10 targets across the first two games of the campaign.

  • Panthers' Ja'Tavion Sanders: Monster PPR effort Sunday

Sanders corralled seven of nine targets for 54 yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Cardinals.

Sanders finished as the second-leading receiver for Carolina behind impressive rookie wideout Tetairoa McMillan's 100-yard game. The 22-year-old Sanders has taken a firm grasp of the No. 1 tight end role over Tommy Tremble (3-20-0) after producing seven receptions for 81 yards through two appearances. Sanders is shaping up to be a solid PPR option in Week 3 when the Panthers host the Falcons next Sunday.

  • T.J. Hockenson TE | MIN

Vikings' T.J. Hockenson: Held to one catch Sunday

Hockenson had one reception for 12 yards in Sunday's 22-6 loss to the Falcons.

Hockenson caught just 33 percent of his targets in a low-volume night of offense from Minnesota, resulting in a mediocre stat line for fantasy managers. The receiving tight end is averaging just two receptions and 13.5 yards in two games with 2025 starting QB J.J. McCarthy. That is a concerning trend for a player hoping to bounce back from a lackluster 2024 campaign. Hockenson's next opportunity to right the ship will come in a home game against Cincinnati next Sunday.

  • Kyle Pitts TE | ATL

Falcons' Kyle Pitts: Heavily involved again

Pitts recorded four receptions on five targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 22-6 win over the Vikings.

Despite turning in a modest line, this was a relatively encouraging performance for Pitts. He tied for the team lead in targets and paced all pass catchers in receptions, with his lack of production explained primarily by the Falcons attempting only 21 passes. Pitts now has 11 catches for 96 yards across the first two games of the season and looks to be a favorite target of Michael Penix.

  • Darren Waller TE | MIA

Dolphins' Darren Waller: Likely to miss Week 3

Waller (hip) is unlikely to play Thursday against the Bills, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.

Waller has yet to suit up for the Dolphins and didn't practice in any capacity ahead of Sunday's 33-27 loss to the Patriots, so it's hardly surprising that he isn't expected to be available on a short week for Thursday's trip to Buffalo. Tanner Conner had two catches against the Colts in Week 1, but the Dolphins didn't get a reception from a tight end in Waller's absence Week 2.

  • Tyler Warren TE | IND

Colts' Tyler Warren: Another impressive showing

Warren recorded four receptions on seven targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 29-28 win over the Broncos. He also logged one carry for zero yards.

Warren finished second on the team in targets behind Josh Downs, but he flashed strong playmaking ability to lead the team in yards. Warren began his performance with a 41-yard reception on the Colts' second possession and followed that up with additional explosive gains of 14 and 15 yards. He has immediately taken over as the team's top pass catcher, recording a combined 11 receptions for 155 yards in his first two games as a pro.
