J.K. Dobbins RB | DEN
Chargers' J.K. Dobbins: Activated from IR
The Chargers activated Dobbins (knee) from injured reserve Friday.
While technically still listed as questionable, Dobbins presumably wouldn't have been activated from IR unless the team intended for him to play in Saturday's game at the Patriots. He may even handle a large workload from the jump, considering fellow Chargers running back Gus Edwards (ankle) has been ruled out. The Chargers listed Dobbins as a full practice participant Thursday, following limited listings Tuesday and Wednesday.

Tony Pollard RB | TEN
Titans' Tony Pollard: Questionable for Sunday
Pollard (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Jacksonville, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Pollard didn't practice at all this week, but that was also true last week when he ended up playing in a 38-30 loss to the Colts. He's ceded more work to Tyjae Spears the past couple games, in part because the Titans have played from behind, although it also seems the ankle injury and Spears' performance have been contributing factors. While Pollard still figures to be the lead runner if he avoids the inactive list before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, his workload projection is a far cry from what he experienced as recently as 3-to-4 weeks ago.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. RB | NYG
Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Cleared to play
Tracy (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Colts, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Tracy didn't practice Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, but he returned Friday as a limited participant and apparently showed enough to be cleared for Week 17. He's been playing through an ankle issue for a few weeks now, including in last Sunday's loss to Atlanta when he aggravated the injury while finishing with 11 touches for 69 yards and a TD.

Samaje Perine RB | CIN
Chiefs' Samaje Perine: Four touches in Wednesday's win
Perine rushed twice for nine yards and caught both of his targets for 20 yards in Wednesday's 29-10 win over the Steelers.
Perine's 19 percent snap share on offense was right in line with the previous week's usage, as he's limited to certain passing situations. The veteran running back could see a bigger role in Week 18 against the Broncos if Isiah Pacheco (ribs) and Kareem Hunt are rested.
-
Roschon Johnson RB | CHI
Bears' Roschon Johnson: Four carries in low-scoring loss
Johnson rushed four times for five yards and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Seahawks.
Johnson was used in a change-of-pace role behind D'Andre Swift, whose 16 touches for 81 yards led the Bears in what was an abysmal showing by the entire offense. Swift's likely to lead the backfield once again when the Bears try to avoid ending the season on an 11-game losing streak Week 18 against the Packers, leaving Johnson with limited fantasy upside.

Tony Pollard RB | TEN
Titans' Tony Pollard: Not spotted Friday
Pollard (ankle) wasn't seen at practice Friday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.
Pollard will finish Week 17 preparations without logging any practice reps, but Friday's injury report will reveal whether he has a chance to suit up regardless Sunday against the Jaguars. He played against the Colts in Week 16 despite logging three DNPs in practice, but Pollard was limited to a 39 percent snap share. If Pollard's sidelined or limited, Tyjae Spears -- who has four touchdowns in the last two games -- would stand to benefit.

Keaton Mitchell RB | LAC
Ravens' Keaton Mitchell: Gets involved vs. Texans
Mitchell had 11 carries for 20 yards and added a 28-yard reception in Wednesday's win against the Texans.
The rushing output wasn't spectacular, but the rushing volume was noteworthy for Mitchell. They marked his first carries since suffering a season-ending knee injury as a rookie in 2023. He had made three appearances prior to Wednesday but had yet to receive a touch. Mitchell showed off the speed and elusiveness that got people's attention last year when he scooted upfield for a 28-yard gain on his lone reception. Derrick Henry remains the king of the Baltimore backfield and Justice Hill will still have a role once he's able to return, but Mitchell could be an x-factor down the stretch.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Status in question for Sunday
Hubbard (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Tampa Bay.
Hubbard's listed DNP on Wednesday was attributed to rest, but he's since managed a pair of limited sessions due to a knee injury, leaving his status up in the air for Week 17. The Panthers will confirm his availability, or lack thereof, about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If he's able to suit up, Hubbard will be taking on a Buccaneers defense that contained him to 43 yards on 12 carries back in Week 13.

James Conner RB | ARI
Cardinals' James Conner: Trending toward playing Saturday
Conner (knee) is "trending in the right direction" to play Saturday against the Rams, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Conner left last Sunday's Week 16 game against the Panthers early in the second half and was unable to return. However, he got in a trio of limited practice sessions this week, and coach Jonathan Gannon has sounded optimistic about the veteran running back's chances of suiting up for Week 17. DeeJay Dallas and Michael Carter filled in for Conner last week, as Trey Benson (ankle) also was out. Like Conner, Benson is listed as questionable for Saturday's contest.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. RB | NYG
Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Set to practice Friday
Head coach Brian Daboll noted that Tracy (ankle) is slated to practice Friday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Tracy was listed as a non-participant on practice reports Wednesday and Thursday, so the running back's looming presence for Friday's session bodes well for his chances of being available Sunday against the Colts. For his part, Daboll is "hopeful" regarding Tracy's status for the Giants' 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
