  • Cardinals' Andre Ellington: Listed as probable for Week 17

Ellington (toe) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Seahawks.

Ellington should be a go this week, though he's a Week 17 fantasy dart, as a change-of-pace/complementary option working behind David Johnson.

  • Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC

Lions' Ameer Abdullah: Draws questionable designation for Sunday

Abdullah (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

Abdullah practiced in a limited fashion all week, with the report suggesting that he's expected to play in the Lions' season finale, though given the official questionable designation, his Week 17 status remains worth tracking in advance of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.

  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

Broncos' C.J. Anderson: Listed as probable for Week 17

Anderson (back) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Anderson recorded 73 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in this past Monday's win over the Bengals, but his fantasy upside continues to be hindered by the time-share in effect in the Denver backfield. Illustrating that issue is that fellow RB Ronnie Hillman carried nine times for 35 yards and caught four passes for 37 yards in Week 16.

  • Matt Jones RB | WAS

Redskins' Matt Jones: Questionable for Sunday

Jones (hip) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, ESPN's John Keim reports

With Washington locked in as the NFC's No. 4 seed, it would be a major surprise if Jones ends up playing. The real question is whether he'll be ready for the playoffs, as he suffered a setback with his hip pointer injury during the week, according to ESPN's John Keim. Chris Thompson (shoulder) and Pierre Thomas (knee) are listed as probable, but it's unclear how the work will be divided in a game that doesn't have any playoff implications.

  • Jonas Gray RB | JAC

Jaguars' Jonas Gray: Could see increased workload

Gray could see an increased workload Sunday against the Texans.

Gray backed up Denard Robinson last week against the Saints, finishing with 31 yards on five carries, with a 25-yard rush that was nullified by a holding penalty. Starter T.J. Yeldon's (knee) status is very much up in the air entering Week 17, and if he doesn't play, Gray could be slated for a larger share of the carries alongside Robinson. "It was good to see Jonas get some carries," offensive coordinator Greg Olson said. "We'll try to find out more about him in this finale but I have a good feel for Denard (Robinson) right now and where he's at. ... I have a pretty good feel for T.J. and Denard and trying to get a better feel for Jonas this week." Even if Robinson ends up with the starting designation, it looks as though the Jaguars will attempt to get an extended look at Gray in what's ultimately a meaningless game.

  • Matt Jones RB | WAS

Redskins' Matt Jones: No practice Thursday

Jones (hip) was held out of practice Thursday, Brian McNally of 106.7 The Fan Washington DC reports.

In a post-practice media session, head coach Jay Gruden told John Keim of ESPN.com that Jones' hip didn't "feel right" after taking part in individual drills Wednesday, which spurred the decision to hold out the running back Thursday. With a playoff berth in hand, Gruden appears set to exercise caution with players that are less than 100 percent, and Jones certainly falls in that category. Fellow backs Pierre Thomas (knee, limited Wednesday) and Chris Thompson (shoulder, full Wednesday) are also dealing with injuries of varying severity, while starter Alfred Morris is a candidate to take a seat, so it remains to be seen who will head Washington's backfield Sunday in Dallas.

  • C.J. Anderson RB | LAR

Broncos' C.J. Anderson: Practices fully Wednesday

Anderson (back) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Anderson appeared to aggravate his back injury late in Monday's game, but he was able to finish the contest, and no setbacks were reported afterward. With a full practice under his belt Wednesday, Anderson is not in any apparent danger of sitting out the Broncos' Week 17 matchup with the Chargers.

  • Doug Martin RB | LV

Buccaneers' Doug Martin: Leads NFL running backs with five fumbles in 2015

Martin leads all running backs with five lost fumbles in 2015, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The fourth-year running back is otherwise enjoying an outstanding campaign, and retains an outside chance of catching Adrian Peterson for the NFL rushing crown. However, all five of his fumbles, a career-high figure, have led to points for the opposition (four touchdowns and one field goal). The issue was an unexpected one for Martin coming into the season, who despite his considerable struggles the last two campaigns, had still only coughed up the ball twice over 580 career carries. Even with his difficulties in holding on to the football, Martin can set a new career high in rushing yards with 101 on Sunday versus the Panthers, and break James Wilder's franchise record of 1,544 if he can explode for 191 yards.

  • Ameer Abdullah RB | JAC

    Lions' Ameer Abdullah: Limited Wednesday

Abdullah (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

Abdullah has appeared to find his professional footing over the last six games, notching 65 carries for 313 yards (4.8 YPC), 10 receptions (on 13 targets) for 56 yards, and one rushing touchdown during that span. While his activity level will be worth monitoring as the week progresses, his ability to complete individual drills Wednesday is a step in the right direction.

  • Cardinals' Andre Ellington: Limited Wednesday

Ellington (toe) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports.

After sitting out Weeks 13 through 15 as a result of turf toe, Ellington will likely endure a cap on his practice reps through the Cardinals' upcoming playoff run. Such a precaution is advised with Chris Johnson (fractured tibia) sidelined and only modest depth outside of starter David Johnson. Expect Ellington to receive his typical handful of touches Sunday against the Seahawks.
