Jones (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's playoff game against the Packers, ESPN.com reports.

Though coach Jay Gruden did not rule Jones out just yet, Gruden acknowledged that he was not "very encouraged" by Jones' progress, which suggests that the running back is unlikely to play Sunday. In such a scenario, Washington's backfield this weekend would be comprised of Alfred Morris, Chris Thompson and Pierre Thomas.

Toussaint is expected to lead the Steelers' rushing attack Saturday against the Bengals, since teammate DeAngelo Williams (ankle) has been ruled out, ESPN.com reports.

Toussaint has rushed just 18 times for 42 yards this season, but the second-year tailback is slated to assume the bulk of Pittsburgh's backfield work Saturday in wake of Williams' untimely injury. While offensive coordinator Todd Haley said Toussaint will be "the guy", fellow running back Jordan Todman also figures to see some touches in this weekend's postseason tussle.

Jones continues to deal with a sore hip, Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports.

With that in mind, Jones noted Thursday that if it was a game day, he probably wouldn't be able to play. Considering that's where he stands at this stage of the week, the running bock looks pretty iffy for Sunday's playoff contest against the Packers.

Mathews carried the ball four times for 11 yards and caught one pass for seven yards in Sunday's 35-30 loss to the Giants.

Mathews' midseason renaissance came to an abrupt halt in the final two weeks of the season, when fellow running back DeMarco Murray was re-installed as the team's No. 1 rushing option. Mathews' status heading into next season is shaky, and will depend largely on how the Eagles' next head coach views his weapons at the running back position.

Davis was limited to six special teams snaps in Sunday's regular season finale against the Raiders.

A once rising backup, Davis dropped like a rock on the Chiefs depth chart this season, losing out on snaps to the likes of Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware following the season-ending injury to star running back Jamaal Charles in Week 5. While he's still under contract with the Chiefs through the 2016 campaign, Davis finished 2015 with just 28 caries for 72 yards and two grabs for 24 yards, and doesn't appear to be a large part of the team's plan for next season.

On Tuesday night, head coach Bruce Arians told SiriusXM NFL Radio that Johnson "is cleared to go" and has resumed running, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.

Placed on the IR/designated-to-return list on Dec. 1 due to a fractured tibia in his left leg, Johnson missed the last five games of the regular season. Under league guidelines, he cannot practice until next week, with his only potential appearance in the postseason to occur if the Cardinals reach Super Bowl 50. In a discussion with Weinfuss on Wednesday, Johnson estimated that he's approximately 80-85 percent healthy, but active status would be out of the question this weekend, if he was eligible. In the interim, David Johnson will be entrusted with most of the touches out of the backfield, while Andre Ellington provides support.

Jones (hip) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Afterward, head coach Jay Gruden said, "We want to play the three healthy backs. [Jones] would be the odd man out."

Progress appears to be paramount if Jones hopes to see the field Sunday against the Packers, but his hip pointer continues to impact his practice participation. Fortunately, he has two practices to "prove" his health and is further aided by the schedule makers, who have given Washington the final kickoff of Wild Card weekend. Another absence would leave the backfield in the hands of Alfred Morris, Chris Thompson, and Pierre Thomas.

Martin has stated he would "love" to re-sign with the Bucs this offseason, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

So much for playing his cards close to the vest ahead of contract negotiations. Martin and the Bucs have expressed a mutual desire to keep the fourth-year tailback in red and pewter in 2016 and beyond, following his second-best season as a pro."I would love to come back here," Martin said. "It's a young team and there were a lot of positive things that happened this year. I would love to be around when we blossom." The 26-year-old's 1,402 yards were second in the NFL, and his 4.9 yards per carry and season-long 84-yard run were both career bests. Given the public statements from both the team and Martin regarding his future, it's conceivable he may be willing to give the Bucs a slight discount in order re-sign with the team that drafted him. However, Martin figures to attract strong interest from multiple teams if he hits the open market in March.

McKinnon caught three of four targets for 33 yards and added 15 yards on the ground off of four carries in Sunday's win over Green Bay.

The game wasn't close to McKinnon's two-touchdown performance in Week 16, but his four targets led the team. Now, Minnesota gets a rematch against Seattle as reward for winning the division. In Week 13, Seattle stuffed Adrian Peterson and harrassed Teddy Bridgewater, while McKinnon led the team with six targets. With pocket time likely in short supply, passes out to McKinnon may be a staple of Minnesota's offense during Wild Card Weekend.

Gray rushed for 23 yards on nine carries and had a four-yard reception in Sunday's loss to Houston.

Gray doubled his workload in his second game in Jacksonville from five touches to 10. His total yards decreased, however, from 31 to 27. Though the diminished production no doubt has a lot to do with going from playing one of the league's worst defenses in New Orleans to one of the best in Houston, Gray showed nothing that would indicate that he'll challenge T.J. Yeldon for carries in 2016.
