Kalel Mullings RB | TEN
Titans' Kalel Mullings: Shifts to IR
Mullings (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.
The 2025 sixth-round pick from Michigan played through an ankle injury in the Titans' Week 3 loss to the Colts, logging eight special-teams snaps. However, he began Tennessee's week of practice with consecutive DNPs and has now shifted to IR, suggesting the injury worsened in Week 3. With Mullings out for at least the Titans next four games, the team is down to just two healthy running backs on the active roster: Julius Chestnut and Tony Pollard.

Jaylen Warren RB | PIT
Steelers' Jaylen Warren: Questionable for Sunday
Warren (not-injury related - resting player, knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Warren logged another limited practice Friday with the Steelers citing both 'resting vet' and 'knee' for the running back's listing on the team's final Week 4 injury report. His status thus is worth tracking ahead of Sunday's 9:30 a.m. kickoff in Dublin, with late Saturday and/or early Sunday reports via NFL insiders such as Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport potentially providing added context on that front. If Warren is limited or out Sunday, added snaps would be available for Kenneth Gainwell and Kaleb Johnson (who didn't see the field in Week 3), with Trey Sermon, Lew Nichols and Max Hurleman representing possible practice-squad elevations.

Chuba Hubbard RB | CAR
Panthers' Chuba Hubbard: Listed as questionable
Hubbard (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against New England.
The Panthers added Hubbard to their injury report Thursday as a limited participant. He was limited again Friday, suggesting the injury probably isn't serious, although the failure to return to full participation leaves some question about his Week 4 status ahead of a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Should Hubbard end up inactive, the Panthers will bump up Rico Dowdle to the starting lineup and Trevor Etienne to the No. 2 role.

Tyrone Tracy Jr. RB | NYG
Giants' Tyrone Tracy: Not practicing
Tracy (shoulder) isn't practicing Friday, Evan Barnes of Newsday reports.
Tracy hasn't practiced since making an early exit from a Week 3 loss to Kansas City. Rookie Cam Skattebo figures to lead the Giants backfield again this Sunday against the Chargers, with Devin Singletary easing into the No. 2 role.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt RB | WAS
Commanders' Jacory Croskey-Merritt: At practice Friday
Croskey-Merritt (knee) was present for Friday's practice, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Croskey-Merritt was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday and Thursday's practices, so his presence at Friday's session is a step in the right direction. Either way, the Commanders' upcoming injury report will reveal both the running back's participation level, as well as his game status for Sunday's road matchup against the Falcons.

George Holani RB | SEA
Seahawks' George Holani: Sticks to special teams
Holani returned three kicks for 74 yards in Thursday's 23-20 win over the Cardinals.
Holani didn't play at all on offense with both Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet in the lineup. Unless one of the two top running backs gets hurt, Holani's usage should remain strictly on special teams moving forward.

Emari Demercado RB | KC
Cardinals' Emari Demercado: Scores key TD in loss
Demercado rushed twice for eight yards and brought in both targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in the Cardinals' 23-20 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night.
Demercado served as the clear No. 2 back behind Trey Benson in the Cardinals' first full game without James Conner (IR, foot), logging six fewer carries than his backfield mate. However, it was Demercado who caught a game-tying seven-yard touchdown reception with 28 seconds remaining, a play that was quickly one-upped by Jason Myers' game-winning field goal. Demercado proved capable of serving as an effective complementary option in his first pair of seasons, and even his modest usage Thursday suggests he'll remain involved, especially as a pass catcher, in future games.

Trey Benson RB | ARI
Cardinals' Trey Benson: Modest opportunity as lead back
Benson rushed eight times for 35 yards and brought in all five targets for 19 yards in the Cardinals' 23-20 loss to the Seahawks on Thursday night. He also recovered a fumble.
Benson operated as the unquestioned lead back in the Cardinals' first game without James Conner (IR, foot), but he finished with two fewer carries than in Sunday's Week 3 loss to the 49ers. Benson did record a season high in receptions and outpaced No. 2 back Emari Demercado by six carries, but game script conspired to afford him almost as much pass-catching work as rushing volume. Benson should have a better opportunity to handle a larger workload during a Week 5 home matchup against an ineffective Titans defense on Sunday, Oct. 5.
-
Zach Charbonnet RB | SEA
Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Tough sledding in Week 4 win
Charbonnet (foot) rushed 12 times for 39 yards and a touchdown and brought in both targets for five yards in the Seahawks' 23-20 win over the Cardinals on Thursday night.
Making his return from a one-game absence due to a foot injury, Charbonnet missed an opportunity for a two-touchdown night when his seven-yard scoring run early in the fourth quarter was nullified by a Jaxon Smith-Njigba holding call. Charbonnet had found the end zone for the second time this season on a one-yard run late in the first half, but after logging more snaps than backfield Kenneth Walker in each of the first two games of the season, the latter recorded six more carries Thursday night. Consequently, Charbonnet may continue working in more of a complementary role during a Week 5 home matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 5.

Kenneth Walker III RB | KC
Seahawks' Kenneth Walker: Efficient in dual roles Thursday
Walker rushed 19 times for 81 yards and secured one of two targets for 29 yards in the Seahawks' 23-20 win over the Cardinals on Thursday night.
The Seahawks welcomed back Zach Charbonnet from a one-game absence due to a foot injury Thursday, but Walker still saw seven more carries than his teammate while equaling his target tally. Walker had a long run of just 21 yards, so he worked hard for his yardage throughout the night and also turned in a chunk gain on his one catch. Walker now has alternated two duds on the ground with a pair of above-average yardage totals, and he's added at least one reception in each game as well. Thursday night's usage seems to indicate Walker might be considered the lead back over Charbonnet heading into a Week 5 home matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Oct. 5.
