Christine Michael RB | IND
Packers' Christine Michael: Not involved in offense versus Cowboys
Michael recorded neither a carry nor a reception in Sunday's playoff victory over the Cowboys.
Michael led the Packers in rushing in their wild-card win over the Giants, but he was limited to kickoff return duties Sunday, during which he made a questionable second-quarter return that left the Packers with a long field and led to a Cowboys field goal. It remains to be seen what role Michael will fill in the NFC championship game, but he will be behind Ty Montgomery, and possibly Aaron Ripkowski, on the depth chart.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Runs for 125 yards in loss to Packers
Elliott ran 22 times for 125 yards and caught his only target for a two-yard loss in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Packers.
Getting his first taste of postseason action, Elliott gashed the Packers defense for 5.7 yards per carry while recording a modest long gain of 22 yards. The opposition stiffened at times, but the Cowboys remained interested in running the ball and Elliott had a very impactful game, although his team came up just short in the end. After leading the NFL in rushing, scoring 15 touchdowns and earning a Pro-Bowl appearance in his rookie campaign, the young running back's arrow is pointing straight up heading into 2017.

Fitzgerald Toussaint RB | PIT
Steelers' Fitzgerald Toussaint: Inactive Sunday
Toussaint (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's playoff game against the Chiefs.
With Toussaint unavailable, veteran RB DeAngelo Williams is on hand to back up undisputed starter Le'Veon Bell on Sunday.

Jonathan Grimes RB | JAC
Texans' Jonathan Grimes: Six touches in Saturday's playoff loss
Grimes rushed two times for 11 yards and added 43 yards receiving on four catches in Houston's 34-16 loss to New England in Saturday's divisional-round playoff game.
Grimes' 54 yards from scrimmage were the third highest on the team behind Lamar Miller (89 yards) and DeAndre Hopkins (65). He played a total of 26 snaps over Houston's two playoff games, getting more run on offense than Alfred Blue. He's spent all or parts of the last five seasons with Houston, so he's a known commodity who understands the system. Whether that's enough for Houston to bring him back for 2017 remains an open question, as they have other in-house options who come cheaper, namely, 2016 fourth-round draft pick Tyler Ervin and exclusive-rights free agent Akeem Hunt.

Thomas Rawls RB | JAC
Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Has 34 yards rushing in divisional-round loss
Rawls gained 34 yards on 11 rushes in Saturday's 36-20 divisional-round loss to the Falcons.
Like many of his teammates, Rawls started the game off hot, ripping off gains of nine and seven yards on his first two carries, and amassing 29 yards on six totes overall during the 12-play opening drive. However, he gained just five yards on his remaining five rushes, as the Seahawks were forced to essentially abandon the run after falling behind by double digits. Russell Wilson actually took over as the most productive runner on the team, gaining 49 yards overall. Rawls wraps up an injury-shortened sophomore campaign with just 349 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, along with a 3.2 yards per carry figure that paled in comparison to the 5.6 he managed in his standout rookie season.
-
Ryan Mathews RB | PHI
Eagles' Ryan Mathews: Produces nine times this season
Mathews (back) rushed 155 times for 661 yards and eight touchdowns to go with 13 receptions (on 14 targets) for 115 yards and another score in 13 games played this season.
Mathews was the Eagles' best offensive weapon for much of this season, accounting for a career-best nine touchdowns on the campaign. Although underwhelming overall, his 661 rushing yards marked his most since 2013, and Mathews averaged at least 4.3 yards per carry for the fourth straight season. While that made him a productive fantasy commodity when healthy, injuries once again damaged his stock, as Mathews not only missed two games due to a knee ailment, but also ended the season on IR after suffering a herniated disk during Week 16. That back problem will require the 29-year-old Mathews' progress to be tracked this offseason, when he'll transition into his final year under contract with the Eagles.

C.J. Anderson RB | LAR
Broncos' C.J. Anderson: Back running again
Anderson, who tore his right meniscus in October, has started running on a treadmill and expects to be ready once training camp begins, ESPN's Jeff Legwold reports.
Anderson's knee injury and subsequent surgery left him unavailable for the final 10 weeks of this season. While that offered more opportunities to rookie Devontae Booker, the Broncos' running game finished 27th league-wide. As a result, Anderson, who had Denver's lone 100-yard rushing game this season, figures to lead the team's backfield attack once healthy. In beginning to run again, Anderson has cleared a hurdle on his road to recovery, which he anticipates to culminate with a training-camp return. Should that transpire, Anderson's injury, along with Denver's trouble running the ball, could see him enter the season with a cooler fantasy stock than last season, but his starting status would figure to benefit him nonetheless.
-
Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Scores 12 times in sophomore season
Gordon (knee/hip) rushed 254 times for 997 yards and 10 touchdowns while catching 41 passes (on 57 targets) for 419 yards and two more scores in 13 games this season.
Gordon frustrated fantasy owners by losing four fumbles and failing to score a single touchdown during his rookie season, but the 2015 first-rounder showed precisely why he was so coveted with his strong work this time around. With teammate Danny Woodhead (knee) going down in Week 2, Gordon started the season by scoring 10 touchdowns through San Diego's first seven contests, emerging as a top fantasy tailback along the way. Without much competition for snaps, Gordon only had two games this season in which he neither rushed for 70 yards nor scored a touchdown. One of those was Week 14 versus the Panthers, when Gordon was forced into an early exit due to a strained hip and sprained knee. Although those injuries prevented him from featuring in the Chargers' final three games, Gordon proved plenty capable as an every-down running back, averaging nearly 23 touches per week. With Woodhead slated to be a free agent this offseason, Gordon could enjoy a similar workload next season, when he should rank among the elite options at his position.

Fitzgerald Toussaint RB | PIT
Steelers' Fitzgerald Toussaint: Questionable for Sunday's playoff game
Toussaint (concussion) is questionable to play in Sunday's playoff game against the Chiefs.
Toussaint entered the concussion protocol in the aftermath of last weekend's wild-card game against the Dolphins. He missed Wednesday's practice and didn't fully participate Thursday or Friday, so he doesn't look to be in the clear yet. If Toussaint is ultimately ruled out, only DeAngelo Williams will remain in reserve behind starter Le'Veon Bell.

Fitzgerald Toussaint RB | PIT
Steelers' Fitzgerald Toussaint: Limited Thursday
Toussaint (concussion) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice session.
Toussaint was held out of practice Wednesday but appears to be recovering and has a chance to play in Sunday's game against Kansas City. His practice status Friday will give a better indication of his availability for the divisional round.
