Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Big workload in loss
Elliott ran for 97 yards on 24 carries against Seattle on Sunday, adding four catches for 21 yards on seven targets.
Elliott couldn't find the end zone Sunday, but that was more the result of surrounding circumstances than anything under his control. Elliott played most of the game without elite left tackle Tyron Smith, and the Seahawks defense was at much greater strength than a week ago with K.J. Wright and Bobby Wagner at fuller health. That Dak Prescott and the Dallas passing game got nothing going resulted in both stuttering drives and stacked fronts for Elliott. Elliott gets a tough draw against Philadelphia on the road Week 17, which is bad timing for a Dallas offense headed downward at the moment.

Matt Breida RB | SF
49ers' Matt Breida: Seals game with late touchdown
Breida ran for 74 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries against Jacksonville on Sunday.
Breida's touchdown was a game-sealing 30-yard score with 1:24 left in the fourth quarter, giving the 49ers an 11-point lead. Breida has had a generally promising rookie season and clearly has the burst and elusiveness to stick in the NFL as a change-of-pace runner, but the fact that Carlos Hyde saw 21 carries in this game indicates Breida is unlikely to emerge as more than a complementary contributor while Hyde is around.

C.J. Anderson RB | LAR
Broncos' C.J. Anderson: Gathers 133 yards
Anderson pounded the ball for 88 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries and added 45 yards on seven catches during Sunday's 27-11 loss in Washington. He added a two-point conversion during the contest.
The game was all but over when Anderson took an inside run into the end zone for a five-yard touchdown in the game's closing moments. Little has gone right for Denver offensively this year, but Anderson has put together his best overall season and is heating up late. Anderson has now topped 100 total yards in three of his last four games. He's 54 rushing yards shy of his first career 1,000-yard season. He's a fair bet to reach that mark with his lone remaining game coming against a Kansas City squad that let him pick up 78 yards on 15 carries in Week 8.

Aaron Jones RB | MIN
Packers' Aaron Jones: Suffers MCL injury Saturday
Jones injured the MCL in his left knee during Saturday's defeat to the Vikings, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
During a media session Sunday, head coach Mike McCarthy touched on Jones' health, noting he suffered a similar knee injury to the MCL sprain from Week 10. Only this time, Jones' left knee is bothering him, instead of the right one. The previous issue forced a two-game absence, so Jones' rookie year seems to be in peril. Expect clarification on his status in the coming days, but Jamaal Williams is poised to be the unquestioned lead back if Jones is shut down for the season finale.

Kenyan Drake RB | GB
Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Contained in Week 16 loss
Drake rushed 13 times for 57 yards and failed to catch any of his three targets in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Chiefs.
The game script worked against Drake on Sunday, as the Dolphins were in catch-up mode throughout the second half. It was the 23-year-old's least productive game since assuming lead-back duties at the beginning of December, with Sunday also marking his first game without a single reception during that span. Despite the downturn in overall yardage, the 2016 third-round pick remained efficient with his opportunities, averaging well over 4.0 yards per rush for the fourth straight week. He'll look to finish the season off on a high note against the Bills in Week 17.

Christian McCaffrey RB | SF
Panthers' Christian McCaffrey: Quiet in Sunday's win
McCaffrey rushed nine times for 39 yards and caught two of four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 22-19 win over the Buccaneers.
McCaffrey and Carolina's offense as a whole struggled to get much going Sunday, but the rookie was once again handed more carries than starting tailback Jonathan Stewart. While that usage is reason for encouragement heading into next Sunday's finale versus the Falcons, so too is the fact that McCaffrey's season-high rushing output came against Atlanta in Week 9. In that game, he finished with 66 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and 28 receiving yards on five receptions.

Derrick Henry RB | BAL
Titans' Derrick Henry: Could serve as lead back for finale
Henry rushed eight times for 25 yards and added a six-yard catch on his lone target in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Rams.
Henry played second fiddle to DeMarco Murray, who scored on a six-yard run in the third quarter. Murray had to be helped to the sideline after suffering a knee injury late in the fourth quarter and didn't return, so it's possible Henry will serve as the lead back in next week's must-win home clash with a Jaguars defense that's been sensational against the pass and middling defending the run.

Alvin Kamara RB | NO
Saints' Alvin Kamara: Totals 90 scrimmage yards
Kamara carried 12 times for 32 yards and caught seven of nine targets for an additional 58 yards during Sunday's 23-13 loss to the Falcons.
Kamara managed just 2.7 yards per carry on the ground, but he was the most targeted Saints player on the day and padded his yardage total with some nice gains through the air. The rookie has now gone for at least 76 scrimmage yards in each of the last 12 games he's finished, and his effectiveness as a receiver has made him a top-notch fantasy asset, despite operating in a timeshare with Mark Ingram. Kamara will look to put an exclamation mark on what has been a remarkable rookie season Week 17 against the Buccaneers.

Mike Gillislee RB | NE
Patriots' Mike Gillislee: Rushes for 28 yards, TD in Week 16
Gillislee carried six times for 28 yards and a TD and caught one pass for 15 yards in Sunday's 37-16 win over the Bills.
Gillislee did just enough to help those who rolled with him in Week 16, hoping he'd hit pay dirt in his return to the Patriots' backfield mix after a string of lineup scratches. Meanwhile, Dion Lewis exploded for 129 rushing yards on 24 carries, while catching five passes for 24 yards and scoring two TDs. How much work Gillislee sees Week 17 hinges on what the Patriots are playing for, as well as the health of fellow running backs Rex Burkhead (knee) and James White (ankle).

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Runs for 81 yards, tweaks ankle Sunday
Gordon, who recorded 19 carries for 81 yards and a TD in Sunday's 14-7 win over the Jets, sustained an ankle injury in the contest.
Gordon also caught three passes for 47 yards Sunday to complete a solid Week 16 fantasy stat line, but his status will need to be monitored as the Chargers' regular-season finale approaches. With Austin Ekeler dealing with a hand injury, Branden Oliver served as Gordon's top backup this week, logging eight carries for nine yards.
