Rob Kelley RB | NO
Redskins' Rob Kelley: Toe surgery imminent
Coach Jay Gruden said Kelley is expected to miss at least one month due to surgery on his toe, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Unlike Samaje Perine, Kelley has been active the first two games, but his usage has been minimal behind Adrian Peterson and Chris Thompson. As evidence, Kelley managed only one offensive snap during Sunday's loss to the Colts, which he left for a spell to have his toe examined. Although he returned to action, Gruden expects Kelley to go under the knife in the near future. If Kelley does, the Redskins are apt to activate Perine on game days for the foreseeable future.

Cordarrelle Patterson RB | PIT
Patriots' Cordarrelle Patterson: Hauls in three passes Sunday
Patterson hauled in three of his five targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Jaguars.
Patterson, who also ran once for five yards in the game, was on the field for 27 of the Patriots' 61 snaps on offense Sunday. He's in line to continue to serve as the team's No. 3 wideout for the next two weeks, with Julian Edelman not eligible to return from his suspension until Week 5.

Joe Mixon RB | HOU
Bengals' Joe Mixon: Knee procedure goes well
Saturday's procedure to remove a small particle from Mixon's knee reportedly went well, according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com.
While a specific timetable has yet to be confirmed by the team, initial reports suggested a two-week recovery period for Mixon. With that in mind, Giovani Bernard is in line to see added work in the Bengals' backfield, beginning Sunday against the Panthers. Tra Carson and Mark Walton are also on hand for backup/complementary duty.
-
Doug Martin RB | LV
Raiders' Doug Martin: Rushes for 24 yards Sunday
Martin rushed for 24 yards on seven carries and caught his lone target for no gain in Sunday's 20-19 loss to the Broncos.
Martin has now logged 14 total touches through two weeks despite a limited snap count, serving as Marshawn Lynch's handcuff out of the Raiders backfield. Martin was deployed for 17 offensive snaps compared to just eight for fellow reserve running back Jalen Richard, whose lack of usage stemmed from Oakland leading the entire game before a last-second field goal by Denver. Expect a similar role for Martin again Week 3 against the Dolphins as Lynch remains healthy.

Mike Gillislee RB | NE
Saints' Mike Gillislee: Eight carries Week 2
Gillislee gained 18 yards on eight carries in Sunday's win against the Browns.
Gillislee played just nine offensive snaps compared to 51 snaps for starter Alvin Kamara. While Gillislee should continue to see a handful of weekly touches while Mark Ingram remains suspended, he's totaled a mere 27 yards in his first two games. With such meager production, Gillislee should not be anywhere near most starting lineups and can probably be cut or left on waivers in many fantasy leagues with Ingram expected to return Week 5.

Dalvin Cook RB | DAL
Vikings' Dalvin Cook: Cramping behind Week 2 exit
Cook classified the hamstring injury he sustained in overtime Sunday in the Vikings' 29-29 tie with the Packers as a cramp, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
It sounds like Cook merely fell victim to the high temperatures at Lambeau Field rather than any sort of injury, so there shouldn't be much concern about the running back's status heading into the Vikings' Week 3 matchup with the Bills. Prior to departing, Cook saw a reduction in volume compared to his Week 1 workload, which was largely a byproduct of the Vikings trailing for most of the day. He finished the contest with 38 yards on 10 carries and added three receptions for 52 yards.

Melvin Gordon RB | BAL
Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Suffers upper body injury in win
Gordon suffered an upper body injury early in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 31-20 win over the Bills. according to Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com. He finished the contest with 64 total yards and three touchdowns.
Coach Anthony Lynn dismissed the notion that his star running back might have suffered a serious injury, suggesting Gordon was simply sore and fatigued. The fourth-year player left Sunday's game at the 11:56 mark in the fourth quarter and did not return, but by that point the Chargers already held a comfortable lead over their opposition. Should Gordon play next week, he'll face a surging Rams squad that has outscored opponents by 67-13 tally through the first two weeks of the season.

Jacquizz Rodgers RB | NO
Buccaneers' Jacquizz Rodgers: Solid in passing game during Week 2
Rodgers rushed five times for 13 yards and brought in all three of his targets for 23 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-21 win over the Eagles on Sunday.
Although the passing game once again took center stage, Rodgers actually saw a slight boost in rushing attempts while also turning in an effective performance as an outlet receiver out of the backfield. Second-round pick Ronald Jones II was inactive for a second straight game to open his career Sunday, but Rodgers could retain active status on gameday even when Jones begins to suit up.
-
Corey Clement RB | ARI
Eagles' Corey Clement: Scores first touchdown of season
Clement rushed six times for 30 yards and a touchdown while catching five passes for 55 yards in Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Buccaneers.
Clement saw nine of his touches while Jay Ajayi nursed a back injury in the first half, though the second-year pro split 10 carries evenly with Wendell Smallwood over that time. The 23-year-old racked up 59 total yards and burst through a wide-open hole for a 15-yard touchdown to tie the game at seven in the second quarter. The 2017 undrafted free agent probably won't be in line for such a large workload Week 3 against the Colts unless both Ajayi and Darren Sproles (hamstring) are unable to go.

Ezekiel Elliott RB | LAC
Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Scores again Week 2
Elliott rushed 17 times for 78 yards and one touchdown during Sunday's 20-13 victory over the Giants. He also secured five of six passes for nine yards.
Elliott again overcame the injury woes that have struck his offensive line, averaging over 4.5 yards per carry and finding the end zone for the second time in as many weeks. With his heavy workload and elite skill set well documented, the only thing that's working against the running back's fantasy appeal at the moment is the Cowboys' relatively weak passing game that is hindering the offense's ability to keep drives alive. Fortunately, this unit seemed to take a step forward from Dallas' underwhelming showing Week 1, and there's still plenty of optimism that quarterback Dak Prescott will continue to improve as he logs more playing time with the Cowboys' retooled receiving corps.
