  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Dealing with sore knee

Gordon (knee/hamstring) will likely will be a game-time decision for Sunday's 4:05 ET contest against the Cardinals, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.

Gordon, who was was a limited practice participant both Thursday and Friday, is dealing with a sore knee per coach Anthony Lynn. "Most starting runners this time of year are sore or something's wrong," Lynn noted Friday while discussing Gordon. "So we'll have to decide if it's worth holding him back (Sunday) or just letting him go." If the Chargers elect to play it safe with Gordon this weekend, Austin Ekeler would be next in line for the team's carries, with Justin Jackson available to handle complementary duties.

  • Doug Martin RB | LV

Raiders' Doug Martin: Cleared to play Week 12

Martin (ankle) doesn't have a designation on the final injury report for Sunday's game in Baltimore.

Martin was a limited practice participant each day this week after sitting out the second half of a 23-21 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. He'll have a tough time parlaying availability into productivity with the Raiders considered heavy underdogs against a Ravens team that surrenders just 3.9 yards per carry and 94.6 rushing yards per game.

  • Melvin Gordon RB | BAL

Chargers' Melvin Gordon: Listed as questionable for Week 12

Gordon (hamstring/knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Gordon's status will thus need to be tracked as Sunday's 4:05 ET kickoff approaches. If he's limited or out Sunday, Austin Ekeler would be next in line for carries, with Justin Jackson in reserve.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Cleared to play despite limited practice

Drake (shoulder) remained limited at Friday's practice, but he doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Indianapolis, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Drake was limited to non-contact work throughout the week in an effort to avoid any aggravation of the shoulder injury he suffered during a Nov. 11 loss to the Packers. Coming out of a bye week, he should be fine to handle his usual role splitting work with Frank Gore, though there is some risk for an in-game setback if Drake takes a big hit in the wrong place. Indianapolis has had some issues against pass-catching backs, yielding 7.2 receptions per game (second most) to the position.

  • Kenyan Drake RB | GB

Dolphins' Kenyan Drake: Remains in non-contact jersey

Drake (shoulder) was still sporting a red non-contact jersey at Friday's practice, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.

Drake has been a limited practice participant all week with the non-contact jersey, and he seems to be working similarly again Friday. The fact the 24-year-old has been at practice throughout the week is a decent sign, but his availability remains up in the air given the practice limitations. The release of the Dolphins' official injury report later Friday should provide further clarity on his status.

  • D'Onta Foreman RB | CLE

Texans' D'Onta Foreman: Progress and optimism

Foreman (Achilles) said he's making daily progress and is optimistic about his chances to rejoin the Texans over the next two weeks, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Foreman, who underwent surgery on his Achilles last November, hasn't experienced any setbacks since he began practicing, but still has two weeks remaining on the physically unable to perform list. As such, the Texans don't need to rush him back for Week 12 against the Titans on Monday.

  • Alvin Kamara RB | NO

Saints' Alvin Kamara: Held under 100 yards by Atlanta

Kamara racked up 89 rushing yards on 14 carries, adding one catch for nine yards during Thursday's 31-17 win against the Falcons.

For a defense that's been tormented by opposing running backs without Deion Jones in the lineup, Atlanta held up reasonably well against Kamara, holding the dual threat back to 98 offensive yards and zero touchdowns (torched for 190 total yards the first time these teams met in Week 3). Kamara was contained to his lowest receiving output of 2018, while also being held under 100 yards for the first time over his past four games. A substantially tougher matchup is upcoming in Week 13 when Kamara faces off against a Dallas defense that allows 28.5 fewer rushing yards and 17.1 fewer receiving yards per game to running backs than Atlanta.

  • Cowboys' Ezekiel Elliott: Scores for third straight game

Elliott carried 26 times for 121 yards and a touchdown Thursday against the Redskins. He also caught five passes for an additional 22 yards in the 31-23 win.

Elliott set season highs in carries and touches, finishing with a respectable 4.7 yards per carry against a solid Washington front. He also made an impact as a pass catcher, ranking second on the team in receptions while tying for second in targets. Elliott has been outstanding over the last three games, topping 140 scrimmage yards while finding the end zone in each contest. He'll look to keep up his outstanding form next Thursday against the Saints and their solid run defense.

  • Zach Zenner RB | NO

Lions' Zach Zenner: Minimal role in Johnson's absence

Zenner rushed twice for nine yards and secured his only target for a four-yard reception during Thursday's loss to the Bears.

There seemed to be a chance Zenner would have a significant role in the offense with Kerryon Johnson (knee) sidelined, but LeGarrette Blount ended up dominating the snaps on early downs. If Johnson is able to make it back for Week 13, Zenner stands to see an even lighter workload.

  • Austin Ekeler RB | WAS

Chargers' Austin Ekeler: Returns to full practice

Ekeler (neck) returned to a full practice Thursday.

Meanwhile, top back Melvin Gordon (hamstring/knee) was added to the Chargers' Week 12 injury report after being limited Thursday. If Gordon is hampered at all this weekend against the Cardinals, added opportunities would be available for Ekeler.
